Ok so my big question here is do you get any of the Ki Pool abilities from the monk class for the Ki Pool that replaces Spell Recall?
If all it does is allow you to take ki feats then it seems like a pale replacement for one of the best Magus class abilities.
So if you get this ability do you get to use the following abilities or do you just have a ki pool that is useless until you pick up other feats/classes.
By spending 1 point from his ki pool, a monk can do one of the following:
Make one additional attack at his highest attack bonus when making a flurry of blows attack, or
Increase his speed by 20 feet for 1 round, or
Give himself a +4 dodge bonus to AC for 1 round.
Each of these powers is activated as a swift action.

At 4th level, an esoteric's arcane pool is also considered a ki pool for the purposes of meeting feat and ability requirements. Points from an esoteric's arcane pool can be used for abilities that normally require ki. If an esoteric gains a ki pool, he can use points from his arcane pool and ki pool interchangeably (though not special points such as drunken ki).
Esoteric Magus doesn't gain the Monk ki pool class ability. It just allows his arcane pool to count as if it were a ki pool to satisfy feat and ability requirements. For instance, an Esoteric Magus could use the Ki Stand feat based on his arcane pool in lieu of an actual ki pool.
Now, if you also had levels in a class that grants a ki pool (Monk, Ninja), then you can use points from either pool for ki abilities. But you can't use ki points from the ki pool class for arcane point purposes. So an Esoteric Magus/Ninja could spend either a ki point or an arcane point for an extra attack or to use Ki Stand, but couldn't spend a ki point to put Burning on their weapon.

Sorry for the brevity of my previous post, but I only had a minute.
The Monk abilities that you mentioned are Monk class abilities, so Esoteric Magi don't get them.
Having a Ki Pool does let you take and use a few feats.
Examples:
Ki Stand
Deny Death
Gliding Steps
Ki Throw
Improved Ki Throw
Binding Throw
Spinning Throw
I think the main reason for the Ki Pool is to let the Esoteric Magus use the Chakra abilities. They aren't very good, though.
