Whether or not he can target himself doesn't really matter.
The spell would have no effect. Wild Shape, in general functions as the Beast Shape line of spells. The Goliath Druid's ability to change into a giant functions as the Giant Shape line of spells. All of these spells are Polymorph spells.
From the rules for Polymorph spells in the Magic section of the CRB:
"You can only be affected by one polymorph spell at a time. If a new polymorph spell is cast on you (or you activate a polymorph effect, such as wild shape), you can decide whether or not to allow it to affect you, taking the place of the old spell. In addition, other spells that change your size have no effect on you while you are under the effects of a polymorph spell."

The problem is that it says "spells". It's generally accepted that "spells" is shorthand for "spells or effects". So as pointed out the answer is no. Though I would love it they FAQ'd it so that "spells" officially means "spells or effects".
Sidebar - I've had a GM allow an Abyssal bloodrager to grow in size while polymorphed because the size growth is supernatural and not a spell.

Which is illegal even without the polymorph special rules via the stacking size changes FAQ. You get one and only one actual size change.

You didn't even come close to reading what I said. There's only one "size change" going on. Polymorph doesn't mean "size change" and just because polymorph and "size change" can coincide doesn't mean they do. What I said has nothing to do with the FAQ.
