just wanting to see if I should get my hopes up... do you guys think the errata'd quick runner's shirt will become pfs legal. As far as I could tell, the old one was banned because you switch your shirt every combat and get a free move action.
for those who haven't read the ultimate combat errata, the new QRS has to be worn for 24 hours and your turn immediately ends after you take your extra move action.

Most importantly, it was also banned because you could use it for a move action and then get your full round action.
It can't be used like this anymore, it can only be used once every 24 hours, so perhaps they will consider removing the ban on it. I'm not sure it's a must have item anymore, but it does occupy a slot that is often unused.
I'm also curious.

As noted in the errata discussion thread, the team will be revisiting some of these items in future updates to the Additional Resources page. The quick runner's shirt will be among those we review.

I think it should still be banned.
You need to wear it for 24 hours before use, so owners will pretty much be wearing it 24/7...
Even after wading through swamps, hacking your way through mountains of flesh both bloody and rotting and in some cases being swallowed by goodness-knows-what.
CAN YOU IMAGINE THE SMELL!?!?!?!!???!?!?!???

Guess it's like a faction T-shirt on the Sunday of a 4 day CON (gotta have it on to get the re-roll at some tables...)
24 hours? Bah! Try 4 days!

You don't understand. When agents have to deal with being dragged out of bed and sent out on missions by Drendle Dreng at the drop of a hat...they will be wearing those shirts 24 hours a day...
EVERY DAY....
Unless we get stats for a +5 Air Freshener of Pineness, this item must be banned from the Society, lest we all be forced to make daily fortitude saves against disease and nausea...

I think it's safe to define wearing as:
1. Only using the associated magic item slot for that item.
2. Not having anyone else wear the item in between.
That definition would still allow a character to wear several versions of the same item in a given 24 hour period... so maybe add that the character can't use another magic item in that slot in the required timeframe.

My definition of "that item" is singular, but indeed you could read that wrong.

Somehow people tend to read things in the most favorable way ^^

In the name of both character and convention hygiene, consider this the campaign's official endorsement that a PC can take off a magical article of clothing for routine maintenance without disrupting the "wear this for 24 hours" timer. That means that yes, you can launder your quick runner shirt (though while it's in the wash, you wouldn't be able to use its power or don another chest slot magic item without disrupting that 24-hour connection) and remove your headband of alluring charisma in order to wash your hair.

You can still wear other *non magical* items in that slot you know.

I think it's best to consider the "24 hours" as a non-consecutive neccessary period of attunement.
Nobody thinks you wear your bejeweled Headband of +Int or mighty Girdle of Raise My Physical Stats to bed, but you still get to keep the permanent skills and effective stat buff to qualify for feats.
So, it's likely that after wearing the shirt for a time period equal to 24 hours, your attunement 'shifts' to the shirt, and you remain attuned to it until you finish a 24 hour period with ANOTHER shirt, at which time it shifts again.
i.e. once you've worn the shirt for 24 hours, you can take it off and put it back on again without a problem. You just can't wear any OTHER magic shirt effectively while you do so, or you disrupt your link with the first one.
Workable?

How is that different from what John just said?

I was thinking the new ruling made succubus and shopkeeper's daughter encouners a lot more dangerous...
Only if one doesn't keep the proper protections in mind...
And... what about incubus and shopkeeper's son encounters? Do those get swept under the rug?
All joking aside, getting that ruling about being able to clean gear in a common-sense fashion was worth the price of the loss of JIN-GASA and Falcon armbands, imo.

I have actually had this come up in a scenario.
NPC: "Before you may pass, you must remove all magic items, so that I can scan you for enchantments."
Players: "Does that include stat bump items?"
Judge: "You betcha! and that means all you spell casters loose those extra spells for the day! You don't get the extra spell slots back till tomorrow...Sucks to be you... Go ahead and re-calculate your DCs and stuff will be for the rest of the scenario."
This would avoid that, so I'm not sure if it would apply "in-game"...

I appreciate the sentiment.
I don't actually drink alcohol, but I happily accept drinks and foist them off on unsuspecting colleagues and freelancers.

Was thinking of that myself, when read your post. And silly me forgot to inforce that when ran it once.

There is always the interpretation of yes, you must wear it for 24 hours. It does not say 24 hours consecutively. So you can look at it like, when you bathe or change to go to bed, the timer on the shirt stops but when you put it back on, it starts up again where it left off. It needs to be connected to that "slot" to attune to you. I would say that unless someone else wears it while it is off, you can put it on and carry where it left off. However, the items don't say if someone else wears it, you have to start the 24 hour thing again but that is how I would do it.
