Beginner Box - Black Fang's Lair by the Wicked GM

Recruitment

Greetings Board,

I recently tried on the GM hat and am enjoying it very much (you can check it out under my Campaigns tab). I'm interested in running the Beginner Box and am wondering if there is much interest in this fun little romp through a mysterious cavern near Sandpoint. I am looking for players who are new to play-by-post gaming, or even pathfinder at large. Character creation would occur after the group comes together. Right now I just want to see if there are enough players.

I'm looking to take only four players for this one. Full pathfinder rules would apply (skipping the watered-down beginner box rules). Very laid-back approach, as I am looking for new players and am willing to teach everything from the ground up. I'm also pushing my other campaign at a rapid pace, and would like to move slower for this one. Looking for 5-7 posts a week. Weekends are really optional. Again, the focus of this game will be enjoying character creation, learning the rules, and having a good time.

For the "application," please fully answer the following three questions:

1. How experienced are you with Pathfinder?
2. How experienced are you with play-by-post gaming?
3. What kind of character would you like to play? E.g. a stealthy scout, a devout priest, a formidable warrior, etc.?

I will accept the first four who commit to the game (expect it to take months). Mapping will use roll20.net. You'll need to create an account if you don't already have one (it's easy and free). I have a Plus account, so you'll have mobile access.

I'd like to join. I've had hard time getting into a PbP here on the forums. It'd be fun to get some fun in each day.

1. I GM'd a few years ago for about 8 months. When I moved to CO I played PFS for a few months at my FNGS until real life goals got changed.

2. Very little. A few game starts that fell apart.

3. I've had an escaped Half-orc slave ranger character I've built and wanted to play for a while. He's an excellent mountaineer and tracker.

I'd be interested.

1. I've been playing PF for a few years now. I used to play D&D way, way back, then let RPGs lapse because I was working night shifts.

2. I've done quite a bit of PbP

3. I'm partial to spontaneous arcane casters (sorcerers or bards mostly). I'm also fond of playing half-orcs (just because).

I would like to join.

1) I have been playing PF Society for a couple of months now with a Wayang alchemist.

2) This would be my second PbP session, the other is still running at the moment.

3) I have an unused egotistical half-orc bard PFS legal character laying around, but I am also willing to try a Cleric.

Excellent! Lugert, Xunal, Vortok, welcome to the game! Just looking for one more applicant. In the meantime I've opened the discussion thread. Feel free to start tossing around character ideas. I'll put up some campaign info shortly.

I've been interested in trying PbP for a while.
1. Played PF once, but the game died really soon. Although, it was Tomb of Horrors, so that's not surprising. Have been playing in 2 DnD modules for a couple of years now.
2. I have some experience with PbP (that Tomb of Horrors module), but not much. Our current group use skype for coordination and titanpad for the game, so I think it would be almost the same.
3. Some sort of warrior, with some spellcasting to help, maybe. Not really the social type, but loyal.

Welcome Madcaster! And with that, we have our four! Let's move into Discussion to plan characters.
