Advice

So I'm in a campaign in a custom setting with 25 point-buy and gestalting all classes besides Summoner (because it's already two characters), with no gestalting two primary casters. The other party members are two people with very little familiarity with the game playing a cavalier/warpriest and druid/rogue; a person with a great deal of experience playing a cleric/gunslinger and a person with a tendency for characters who completely overtake the overall narrative flow of the entire campaign in usually entertaining ways, playing in this instance a character for whom one branch is a sorcerer/oracle/mystic theurge and the other is a bard. Skillmonkeying and stacking massive charisma score is a given with this person.

Starting level is 12. I wish to be able to keep up with the last mentioned player. Advice?

Magus (Kensai)//Wizard (or Sage Sorcerer, or Arcanist. Whatever floats your boat)

Break out every piece of Wizard Shenanigans you feel the need to and slap around the foolish mortals who think they can beat you if only they can get close.

Seems like you've got a whole lotta Divine, so be the odd man out and get some Arcane action in there.

Be an Alchemist/Arcanist (Brown Fur Transmuter).

You can be a melee beast with Mutagen and Polymorph spells, and hand out Polymorphs to your teammates as well. Depending on whether you keep Bombs or not you can also be a sort of blaster, since the party looks weak on AoE stuff, which will bite you when you face swarms.

Could be fun to run around as a big, hulking monstrosity hopped up on SCIENCE! and magic spells, punching Fireballs at people and ripping dudes apart with your claws and teeth.

Magus (Kensai)/ Arcanist (School savant: admixture evocation) would be my choice. Dex based for melee with a rapier and fencing grace and int as High as possible. Will give you a great all round character with strong arcane powers.

I agree that an arcane character is probably best.

Sensei Monk//Empyreal Sorcerer
Scarred Witch Doctor//Untouchable Bloodrager
School Savant Arcanist//Empiricist Investigator

This.

I'm currently playing a Magus (Kensai) / Arcanist (Blood: Elemental Air bloodline) character. Dex based (but Aldori sword + Slashing Grace instead of Fencing Grace). Really high initiative, very good AC, any [Elemental] spell can be changed to [Electricity], Dimensional Slide Exploit... Pretty fun.

Kensai magus/wizard or witch
or
Primal spelleater arcane Bloodrager//sorcerer~>eldritch knight- Basically your the anti caster martial mixed with full casting.

Both builds include full arcane casting and really good martial abilities. I like the flavor of the bloodrager. If your allowed divine protection you will have amazing saves.

Well the game that just wrapped up was a gestalt game and I had very good success with my War Priest/Monk (Hungry Ghost). Warpriest swift clerical spell buffs on top of flurry of blows and the benefit of a high wisdom for both classes worked really well. The only complaint was too many options for swift actions between ki abilities and warpriest fervor/blessing options. But nothing gets opponents attention then activating sacred armor/weapon (by spending a fervor) as a swift action then casting ironskin as a standard action then using abundant step as a move action to appear next to the spell casters as an opening salvo. Of course the game I was in was ridiculous with characters races. For instance I was playing a Draegloth with a Dread Mummy Template who worshiped a Lawful Evil god of Undeath that was just plain broken.

Your party already has a ton of full casters.

Maybe an alchemist//magus? All good saves, two Int-based spell lists, 4+Int skills, lots of buffing through arcana and mutagens. Probably go Dex-based for bombs and scimitar/rapier.

Paladin//ninja? All good saves + Cha to saves, Full BAB & d10 HD, 8 + skills. The best armors. Cha-based ki and smites, full sneak attack, go Dex-based and to weapon-fighting to get the most out of sneak attack and smite evil. Lay on Hands to boost HP. A small spell list, and fun Ki talents. Enough swift action options to keep you busy but not regretting the loss of other options. You even have TWO flank buddies from the druid//rogue and his animal companion.

Alchemist//wizard or arcanist has all good saves, two Int-based spell lists, 4 + Int skills, healing and wizardy goodness, can buff Con w/ mutagen without worrying about Cha OR buff Int w/ cognatagen without worrying about Str.

Ranger or slayer//arcanist or sorcerer or witch or wizard would have all good saves, Full BAB & d10 HD, full casting, lots of class features, 6 + Int skills, and really well rounded. Slayer//Witch might be a really good de-buffer.

Unmonk//inquisitor or warpriest? All good saves, full BAB & d10 HD, decent skills, lots and lots of buffing--you won't be able to fully buff for each fight, so each fight will be fun and unique since each fight will be different. You'll get to be tactical. You'll get to do a lot with Wisdom.

Zen Archer Unmonk//Sorcerer 6/Arcane Archer 10/Dragon Disciple 4 or Arcanist 10/Arcane Archer 10? Be super archer!

Two and a half years in the ground. Doesn't grave mold turn you off?

I think you should go slayer (ankou's shadow) / monk the synergy is quite lovely.

Considering the thread necromancy maybe a anit-paladin/oracle of bones would be appropriate.
