(Another) Kitsune Sorcerer

Advice

The plan is:
1 Sorcerer
2 Arcanist (Potent Magic exploit)
3+ Sorcerer

He will be an Enchantment (compulsion) specialist.
The question is bloodline(s). Which would be more effective, Fey for the +2 DC to Compulsions or Serpentine/Impossible for the wider variety of targets?

Other suggestions on bloodline selection welcome.

Fey is a lovely set of powers + arcana, but Serpentine's arcana will give you far more versatility. The poison bite might also work interestingly with the Kitsune bite attack.

Really, both are lovely and powerful bloodlines with great enchanter potential. What sounds most fun to you for the powers?

Also, what sorts of roles will the other players in your party be covering? This might give you more idea of a direction to go.

Hmm

Silver Crusade

Kitsune Fey sorcerer. What would you do for traits? I was thinking Wayang Spellcaster (Hold Person) and Magical Lineage (Hold Person) to have free persistent Hold Person.

Also does Hold Person work on Vermin/Oozes if you use a Coaxing Hold Person? It does specify the target is one Humanoid.

Personally I might focus on Suggestion for my metamagic spell if I wanted versatility. If I wanted combat power I would probably go for Confusion. Depending on my GM I might go for Charm Monster.

I would also avoid dipping. You will have very few arcane pool points to use it and while +2DC is great you are a level behind in getting new spells and in being able to apply metamagic to higher level spells.

How about 1 lvl crossblooded impossible/serpentine or undead and rest arcanist with bloodline development? If this is for PFS seasn 6, i recommend this.
Your DC will get high enough anyway, remember you get +1 already and impossible gives you spell focus for free at level 3.
Adding in potent magic boosts the DC surely high enough.

Favored Class Bonus for Kitsune is +1/4 DC to Enchantment spells. That is why the main class is Sorcerer.

Keep in mind, the Kitsune FCB sounds good, but +1 DC from 4-7, +2 DC from 8-11, +3 from 12-15. If it is for PFS, with the dip it's actually not worth it, getting 2nd level spells at 5, 3rd at 7, etc. For a home game that will reach that high, decide if it is actually worth that trade.

With the spell level factoring into the DC, being a spell level behind means that until level 8 you're just breaking even.

If you decide it's not, play an Exploiter wizard archetype with a single level dip into crossblooded fey/serpentine (or serpentine/impossible if you expect many constructs).
