PFS Builds for the new Classes

Advice

Liberty's Edge

Hey guys. With all the excitement of the ACG, I was thinking this forum could be a receptacle for all your PFS-friendly build/usage ideas for the new Hybrid Classes. Have Fun Guys! Can't wait to see what people come up with.

Liberty's Edge

I am working on maybe a wayang hunter with a trent "pet".

Yes the Wayang will be called Rocket the Trent Groot.

Going primal hunter for the evolutions..trying to find the balance between a playable character (hold it's own) and just stupic concept. Might change wayang to kitsune....still thinking lol

Sovereign Court

Primal Companion Hunter archetype is banned from PFS. Personally I'm looking at a Kitsune that goes Fox Shape as soon as possible with Swashbuckler/Brawler.

Liberty's Edge

Should really put this in the Advice forum. You will get more traffic there anyway.

Human hunter with eye for talent for an int 4 bodyguard ape with martial weapon proficiency greataxe. Greataxe for the hunter as well.

Tongue in cheek insanity:

I'd need to get chronicle sheets to get a laser pistol for my hunter and a plasma thrower for my ape companion, and then start calling myself Han and my ape Chewy.

Shadow Lodge

Kitsune dual wielding Kukri Swashbuckler / Weapon Master

Aasimar Brawler with a dip into Feral Hunter. The concept is a dude who disarms you, steals your weapon, then attacks you with it and throws it at your back when you run away.

Dammit, ok, well I guess, ummm, back to the drawing board, anyone work out anything to do with an arcanist, seems a broken boring class.

I am partial to a swashbuckler with a couple level dip into paladin. I play mine as an overconfident fool with a siething rage towards evil.

** spoiler omitted **

Despite the rule of cool this will not work in PFS. Search "apes with hammers" if you want to read why.

Aww... That was such a cool concept.

For me, I've already built a Skald, but I think I wanna build either an arcanist or a shaman or something that's really adept at counterspelling. I don't know. I need to read more on the arcanist first anyway, because their casting system really confuses me.

I missed 1 line in the FAQ:
Animal companions of any type may not use manufactured weapons.

Ah well, thanks for setting me straight :)

Sorry mate. That was a sweat idea, though.

I can still use it in home campaigns, probably going to toss this towards the Wrath of the Righteous that we have planned once we finish Serpent Skull.

But that was the only ACG class concept I had come up with (though granted, it was originally a druid, but hunter made it so much better).

For now I've got a sorceress with a giant scorpion lined up. (Wildblooded Fey bloodline, with eye for talent to make it 2 int at level 1). She believes the scorpion is her greensting scorpion familiar which just had a slight magical mishap.

Just need to get her bluff and diplomacy skills high enough to also convince others of that :P

I had considered taking the Champion of the Faith archetype for my Warpriest of Zon-Kuthon to fully embrace the legal anti-paladin. ("What? I'm smiting Chaos. It just so happens he's Chaotic Good. That's what he gets for being an anarchist.")

But instead I took the rebuild to give him some Int and Additional Traits, because I was very tired of being useless in the non-combat portion of PFS.

Bouncer:
Concept is an adventurer who moonlights as a bouncer. Build goes like this:
Human Brawler 9
Str20[+2Race+2levels]
Dex14
Con14
Int8
Wis12
Cha10

Feats:
1:Improved Unarmed Strike
1:Enforcer
1:Intimidating Prowess
2:Weapon Focus[Unarmed Strike]
3:Pummeling Style
5:Power Attack
5:Weapon Specialization[Unarmed Strike]
7:Skill Focus[Intimidate], Iron Will, or Combat Expertise
8:Pummeling Charge
9:Improved Critical[Unarmed Strike]

Max out Intimidate, and pound away. Set Maneuver Training to "Grapple" first, because its both thematic and might be useful for you to flex out at some point, if you are fighting an arcane caster boss, then after that it doesn't really matter[I'm a fan of dirty trick myself]. Pummeling Style is there because if you need to take someone out of the bar and they resist, its better not to start a bar brawl. The fact that Pummeling Charge is amazing doesn't exactly hurt either.
