The iconics in a Lovecraftian battle illustration

I've started working on this illustration with the intent of putting the iconics in their respective roles, not just as what their classes would stereotypically suggest but their character and background might imply as well. For example Merisiel is caught in a situation that looks like it's already failed but she's making the best of it, at least I hope that's what it looks like. I'm curious what other paizonians think or any iconic experts =)

I really like it, though it could be my inner Kyra fanboy, but I think it needs a cleric.

Yay me! STAB THAT TENTACLE!

Shadow Lodge

Needs more Feiya.

There's something missing in that picture...

Very cool! It's nice to see someone other than Valeros getting flung by a tentacle.

Dude, man up, if you have something to say, say it.

It IS lacking on all variety of short people =(

Liberty's Edge

I like it, though it’s a bit hard to make out the details with such a small image (I don’t know if I’m missing some way to view the image in a larger format).

I like the tengu gunslinger you did as well.

Intimidate: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14

Nickolas: I've been enjoying your blog for a while now. Keep up the good work. Also, feel free to quit your job and lock yourself in the studio.

Wot?

Dark Archive

Looks great so far!

Does need like 1000% more Gnomes and Halflings!

Also kinda hard to tell who is below Seoni (that IS someone below her getting hit by a tentacle right?)

Will the final product be sepia or are you adding more color? (I think it looks pretty cool sepia but color is always good)

Mothman, there aren't much details to see yet, I'll be posting a higher res when it's done though.

Mairkurion, that is precisely what I did.

GnomePaladin, That's Sajan the Monk below Seoni, without a face yet.
In traditional painting this is what you'd call the under-painting, the focus is on getting correct values first. The final will be in full color.

Wow! And some of you said I had no real power!|

NEXT COMMAND: ERIK MONA, pack a bunch of free product and head to Big D for my spring break.

Well, just for the record. What I'd do is leap unto the thingie's head, and caper around in a skilful dodging of batting tentacles as I played a lively jig or reel on my flute.

And hope it has a sense of hearing?

Nope. Wait for Valeros or Seelah to stick it in the eye(s), at which point I'll do a somersault down from the head, point and laugh at the monster, and chop one of its tentacles into calamari.

Q: What are they fighting?
A: Exactly!

Excellent! (where's my night light?)

Oh gosh darn it. And I'd spent at least 15 seconds thinking that up.

Looking good!

Oh man, and to think it's been almost a year. I'm still continuing this illo as an oil painting. It's gone through too many revisions, the good and bad side of personal pieces. In the mean time here's some healer goodness to share on my barren blog.

Excellent artwork i really enjoy the perspective of the lovecraftian piece.

Aren't you actually in all of them?

Silver Crusade

As a huge Ezren fan, I say kudos. Very nice composition.

Thanks everybody. Seelah is done, I put up some progress shots!
