Male Half-orc Wizard 1

Krebak, unsure of what we're expecting, will stop where he's at and wait to see what Pavel finds or until he can see what Nefi's become aware of.

Nefi raises her flask as if to throw yelling out to what ever she had seen earlier to show them self. Seconds stretch out to minutes with out any new movement or reaction to her ultimatum other then concerned looks from her traveling companions as they try to keep their distances from where her attention is concentrated...

A map will be difficult because I lack many tools to make something nice and or quick but I will see what I can do but I am making no promises besides are you certain their will be action enough to warrant a map in this area :)

Well Nefi just wants to make sure everyone is atleast 20 ft away from the area so where Nefi throws the bomb no one will be like "owwww, why the hell didn't you tell me you were going to throw that!" or "Watch where you're aiming!" so I want to make sure I don't hit anyone, plus I'm acting on what my perception result told me.

Nefi, satisfied everyone is 20' away from the area throws the bomb into the square where she thinks something is hiding.

To hit a area is DC 5 so I'll have to roll that to hit the area.

attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 This is the damage in the direct area is lands in, but anywhere in the slash radious around the bomb (5' around) takes only 4 points of fire damage.
"Whatever it is, I hope the fire goats it out. I'm not about to be a snack in the Stolen Lands." he says as she wonders if the fire has hit anything or if the fire has atleast heated up the area to pull the thing out of hiding.

Male Human Paladin of Erastil 1

Simon positions himself to protect Nefi from what she might have angered

Male Human Paladin of Erastil 1

Not here till wednesday . DNPC me if necessary

The bomb misses its mark but the area targeted is still within the blast as fire engulfs the patch of grassy bone yard immediately setting the grasses and scrub alight with the sounds of popping and cracking accompanying the whoosh of flames. The flame from the explosion die quickly leaving a blackened patch with small bits of flame struggling to stay burning.
Pavel and Krebak are both in good positions to see the area better with the scrub and grass cleared go ahead and make another perception check.

Male Half-orc Wizard 1

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

how can the bomb miss it's mark if to hit a are like a single 5ft square, which is where I was aiming, is AC 5 and I got a 8 on that. Was hoping it would burn out the area and reveal whatever the creature is hiding under, whatever it is.

AC 21 (20)/T 13/FF 17; CMD 24, HP 76/76

Puh'Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

Pavel and Krebak (if he roles a 15 or better):
looking closely at the area burned you can make out an odd impression in the ground around a clump of dirt and stone that is held together as if cemented creating what appears to be a crude hatch of sorts.

Nefi:
I agree you where trying for AC5 Nefi but remember bombs only have a 20' range your distance was about 70 feet from the area targeted. That is 3 range categories over half the maximum range of that weapon. I assumed that you had not moved from the general position I had described previously as that had not been indicated in your post. In the end it matters little though you successfully cleared the area of camouflage.

DM:

Ahh, you see you never specified how far I was from the area. I think I said I would've made sure to be within 20" to throw and be within range, but fine it's the effect I was after was burning the area in an attempt to either goat it out or make the area appear more visable to the group.

"Someone heavily armoured should get closer or if someone can summon a creature to be a instant sacrified or one of us can get closer to it." as Nefi says this she gets out her spear and points it towards the area of climped soil and then moves closer, getting ready to stab at anything that emerges.

Male Half-orc Wizard 1

"Good idea. Since Pavel wears armor and I don't, that officially makes him heavily armored...more so than me, anyway. C'mon, big guy, get in there and flush it out. I've got your back."

Krebak will move up within 15 feet of the hatch, orienting himself to its "right" assuming that Pavel is approaching from its "bottom." His intent is to have an open target for an area effect while keeping Pavel out of it.

Male Human Paladin of Erastil 1

Meatshield reporting for duty Simon will say with a smile and advances towards the trapdoor

Male Half-orc Wizard 1

"Yeah, him too. He's all chain-and-shieldy."

Simon and Nefi advance to a position within several feet of the trap door with Simon in the lead and Nefi just behind him both mindful not to move within the line of fire of Krebak who appears ready to cast. Pavel stays out of sight and out of the way with his bow at the ready. The movement does not seem to cause what ever created the crude trap door to take notice of the group.
I am assuming that if you use burning hands Kreback that you are adjusting you aim so that only the edge and tip of the spell falls on the target area providing clear access for the rest of the party to attack anything that pops out from the front and opposite side. I am assumed that you remained hidden and ready to fire at this time Pavel. I am also assuming that both of you are effectively holding action to attack anything that makes a move out of the trap door while the others move up.

Male Human Paladin of Erastil 1

Simon will pick up a stone and throw it at the trapdoor

About this trapdoor , it it something an animal could have done or only an intelligent creature ?

Simon moves to within striking distance of the door and appears to contemplate the structure.

Simon:
The trap door appears extremely crude considering the building materials with bits of stone dirt and grasses that are now mostly burned away and some kind of resin to keep it together. If it is made by an animal your not familiar with the species but then again your experiences with animals is limited to the farm.

Male Human Paladin of Erastil 1

"No sign of ropes used . Must be an animal . Pavel , would he not have attacked yet if it was here ? "

AC 21 (20)/T 13/FF 17; CMD 24, HP 76/76

"Muh'might have spooked it with the fuh'fire. Or just from all of us truh'trampin' through here.", replies a voice hidden in the remaining brush.

Pavel will study the trapdoor a bit himself and think of what may have built it- animal or fey.
Knowledge- Nature: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

The stone Simon tosses at the door appears not to create a response in what ever waits on the other side of the crude hatch.

Pavel:
Examining the door more closely does not appear to bring you any closer to the specific threat but you are almost certain you face a solitary hunter that prefers to attack quickly and by surprise, choosing its prey carefully. This creature must be well practiced in its technique having seen the many bones of smaller animals with the occasional larger beast intermixed. You are certain the beast will not attack unless forced.

Male Human Paladin of Erastil 1

Oh well , time for the old kick in the door
Simon join action to his words

AC 21 (20)/T 13/FF 17; CMD 24, HP 76/76

"Wuh'well it's mostly small animals it's killing. Do you see any cluh'clothing or anything from travelers? Wuh'whatever it is, it's not too interested in fuh'fighting us- that might change if we cuh'corner it, though."

"Whatever it is, it's best we kill it. I don't want one of us to get attacked when we make our way back."

Male Half-orc Wizard 1

"Well, whatever it is, let's do something. Either we lure it out, or we go find something more interesting out here. Standing around in its midden waiting for it to get hungry is just making me nervous. If Simon gets it to stick its head out the whole, I'll blast it off."

I wanted to let everyone know that I will no longer be able to DM because of personal issues I don't wish to get into I will have to withdraw for the foreseeable future. I am sorry for the inconvenience to everyone. I hope a replacement can be found and the adventure can continue. It was a pleasure gaming with you all.

Thank you for informing us , Narrater .
