Welcome,
If the link on the sign-in sheet for Outpost III told you to go here; you've come to the right location.
Since this has the starship tag it might be useful if you figure out which role(s) you want your characters to fill during space combat.
You get an assigned ship so you don't have to/can't pick between the Drake of the Pegasus
and
No boon slots, except for personal boons, are available for this scenario (so also no bringing another starship option if you happen to have a boon for it)
Darkrunner-42 |
Darkrunner is probably best at engineering or science officer (computers +13, engineering +13), but can pilot in a pinch (piloting +12), but it sounds like that is covered.
Chryssi |
Chryssi has +8 piloting, +8 engineering and +11 computers so she can hop on science - or maybe magic officer +7 mysticism. She will defer (although reluctantly) to Darkrunner.
Iris-1 |
Iris can do a bit of anything on a starship except being the captain, or a chief mate.
Computers +14
Engineering +12
Mysticism +8
Piloting +10 (4 ranks)
Gunnery: +7

She doesn't have to :) He's a flexible android.
Magic-14 |
Apologies, I was so focused on what I was GMing this con that I completely spaced that I'd signed up to play stuff too.
Checking in and I'll update with my details ASAP.
Magic-14 |
Dang, I just realised I applied GM credits to the wrong character so I'm 2 XP shy of being the right tier. I'll have to take a pregen sorry.
I don't think we've got an operative right?
Farol |
@GM I allowed myself to be creative, I copied our avatars into your slides (on a separate slide), made our avatars rounds (vs the bad guys and npc which are usually rectangular) and I've put us roughly when I believe we are on the map.
I assume that it does not matter, but it helps me to visualize it a bit better. Mostly when it comes to the distance between the places.
Revvy Bitterleaf |
Sure, I hadn't placed everyone on the map yet because in some people it brings on the mind set that they need to treat this as a combat encounter from that point onward but if it helps with the visualization it's only a good thing.
I've moved a few things around a bit since some of the NPC's weren't at where they should be for example there wasn't a woman in front of the gate desk yet and no man/woman combination at the kiosk
But now it means people will have to move themselves around to keep track where they are
Revvy Bitterleaf |
In the rejoined group Darkrunner reports on the desk attendant to the group.
I think she's waiting for our guest too. Her "board" was nothing but snide comments about passengers, and I caught her lying about concern with board details. She's watching that gate like we are. I think we need a plan to draw her away. Oh, and I lifted a static arc pistol off of her...
There seems to be a small misunderstanding;
The person scribbling the notes is a flight attendant. Whose notes make perfect sense for a flight attendant who doesn't like her work - comments about the work schedule and mean remarks about her co-workers
(not a danger)
The person looking at the schedule and who's missing a pistol right now is a woman standing in front of the desk and who indeed is watching the gate like you guys are.
(a potential problem)
Darkrunner-42 |
Ah, apologies, yes I confused those two figures. We can assume he made the correct references and ignore the *player* mistake :)
Darkrunner-42 |
Apologies. I guess I should have looked and moved it around with the narrative then. For some reason I thought that whole scene was theatre of mind and should have looked.
Magic-14 |
I don't believe anyone has taken HP damage but please let me know if anyone does so I can deal with that.
Iris-1 |
I don’t understand what is happening. The person watching us from the camera was only inviting one of us but everyone follows. Then he does not react.
Chryssi |
Chryssi did ask for backup. Besides, our objective is to get in there and hack his computer. Chryssi could do that herself but it would be easier if she runs 'interference' while someone else does that. If he had reacted, Chryssi would have insisted that her companions accompany her.

It was never my intention to just invite only one person. The invitation was for you. Which to me meant all of you. This might be a language thing, I'm not a native English speaker, but I assumed that it was understood that it was OK for everyone to join when multiple people joined.
And your goal is to get the data( by hacking or othetwise)

English is not my native tongue either. I thought we would have to discreetly get there but now that I understand things, I can continue on.
Thanks for the clarification.

These are still his best options.

Hi,
I've gotten an email this weekend asking to report before the end of the gameday (preferably on the 18th..which is today) so the people in charge have time to finish entering data before the start of virtual Piazo con
So to speed things up a bit I'll roll for everyone's boon chance - in the same order as I rolled init this game.
Player boons?
Chryssi: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Darkrunner: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Iris: 1d20 ⇒ 6
Magic Keshkodai: 1d20 ⇒ 18
Vellero: 1d20 ⇒ 8
Obodaya Jeff: 1d20 ⇒ 14
GM: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Which one?: 1d3 ⇒ 1
-----------------------------------------------------
The reporting info I have from you guys:
Keith Smith - Chryssi - 124312-713 - Wayfinders?
Stuart Miller -Magic-14 - 236587-701 - Wayfinders?
PaleDim - Darkrunner-42 272301-701 - Dataphiles?
MurderHobo - ? - 343238-702 - ?
Farol - ? - 23597080-703 - ?
Iris - 93504-701 - Wayfinders?
So if you could check if what I have is correct that would be nice.
And I need to know which faction you want credit for and Chryssi needs to message me an email address on which you want to have your player boon send and I can report the game.
Chryssi |
I was wondering what was going on about this game and being close to the deadline.
Chryssi's faction is currently Second Seeker(Luwasi Elsebo)
dayjob: 1d20 + 7 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 7 + 5 = 25 Exotic Dancer
email for boon: phetonnz@gmail.com
Darkrunner-42 |
PaleDim - Darkrunner-42 272301-701 - Dataphiles?
Correct!
Revvy Bitterleaf |
I realize we are running late with this game/past the scheduled end date of the Gameday.
If anyone had other plans with the character they are playing soon; since this is a series of quests you can drop out for the last quest and I'll create a chronicle filled out with everything but the last quest and you can continue with a different adventure.
Or we can continue the game and finish (a bit) late.
Let me know if you wish to drop out.
Revvy Bitterleaf |
MurderHobo - TSNSAWTL McNally - 343238-702 - Exo-G
Trying to recall: Can I apply GM credit to a character who is live in a PBP? If not, I need to be done before the 28th.
As far as I know, assign yes.
But it won't take effect until after the scenario your character is in finishes. So let's say your are in a pbp game with a lvl 4 character and then you GM 2 games and assign the credit to that character. At the end of your played game you then would gain 1 xp for playing that game and 2 xp for having gm-ed and you would instantly become lvl 5 for your next game.
Iris-1 |
Same here, I’m fine with going on. I’ve signed up for some PaizoCon Online games but not with this character. During the Con, I’ll probably be unable to post thought, between the work, the family and the live games, not sure I’ll have much time left.
Revvy Bitterleaf |
At this point I feel it's safe to say you guys tested the weapons and shields thoroughly in a "real" fight.
There's no real risk of any of you dying since the robots are programmed to stop attacking you once you go down (and there's most likely medical supplies on site to stabilize you) and there doesn't seem to be a requirement of you guys winning to get full rewards. You've seen what the robots can do in a fight so now it's just a matter of getting through their hp before they get through yours.
So unless you want to continue the fight to see if you can win I'm fine with you guys just stopping the fight, telling the techs in charge to turn off the robots, giving some ...uhrm..recommendations on the weapons/shields you used and heading back to HQ to report and we can wrap this up.
Darkrunner-42 |
Yeah, I'd be okay with a fast-forward. Frankly the constant battery-switching of this weapon is... irksome to say the least. Likely Darkrunner should have run out of them by now (or is close).
Chryssi |
Chryssi just wants this fight to be over so she can give Crax what for. Maybe it's just as well she's blinded at the moment as she's in the mood to pick a fight.
