You are so weird.

All that history is interesting, LPM. I come from too-recent immigrant stock to have ancestors that took part in American history that long ago. The best I have is a great-grandfather who was a pilot for the US Navy in WW1. No one wanted to trust a German pilot, let alone one named Ludwig (the same name as the Kaiser), so he changed his name to Louis.

I'm getting started on trimming my bush, err, my bushes, err, the hedges. Err, nevermind.

Yeah, he sold them for the money to move to VA with his girlfriend after leaving his wife. Real upstanding guy.

Yes, both sides fought for the Confederacy, although there was one on the Jordan side who crossed over and fought for the Union as a calvary officer. The Moore side were poor share croppers and laborers, used to work the fields beside the slaves but a fight was a fight, and no Moore would turn down a fight. I have a china cabinet that was bought by one of the Jordans after the war ended, he was one of the lucky Southern soldiers that actually got paid when it was done.

For that alone, your brother deserves a crack in the skull. That is family history in the country you are currently living in now that I would kill to have. The most I know of my family is the same most people from the Carribean know- your are from somewhere in africa, were kidnapped/sold by a treacherous family member or enemy tribe/just plain taken by the British/Dutch/French/MAYBE Spanish but were found to be too hardheaded/stubborn/horny/violent/the dude who took you wasn't nearly as rich as he thought he was, so instead of the mainland you were shipped to this island, where they attempted to break you. Some succeeded, some didn't, but eventually slavery went out of fashion(or if Haitian- you went crazy in captivity and rebelled, slaughtering white people by the score until you eventually bought your freedom in a rather badly written agreement with France), so you were more or less left on your own/entered an agreement with the original country/became chummy with the family that owned yours/something else happened and then here you are today. For my family on both sides, it was that the Panamanian canal = honest work where you actually got paid CASH MONEY, so it was time to get out of Jamaica(father's side) or Barbados(mother's side) and get in on this good deal.

Any way you can track down the buyer to buy them back?

Fffffffffffff.

That bites Moorluck. Seconding Jack, hopefully you can have some luck chasing down wherever they shipped off to.

Morning everybody. Stayed up late last night and played Skyrim. Is there something wrong with this?

Is it normal?

What is 'normal'?

Correction. I meant abnormal. >:)

having a vector of length one is a normal vector. Is it orthonormal?

Umm...a vector can't be orthogonal with itself?

Spending a whole day playing mass effect. I've been meaning to start the game for ages, but just now finally got around to it. So far so good although instructions on what button does what would be helpful.

This has been my consistent strategy for video game play....some people get a bit annoyed when I do better than them when they knew what they were doing and I was just button mashing. I say this just means I have a good strategy. ;P

As someone once famously said: "Mrgh."

Or in other words, if I have to be sick, could I at least be sick enough that I get to stay home from work?

If resorting to violence didn't solve the problem, you didn't resort to enough of it.

That's a perfect description of what happened when my brother and his best friend challenged me to a Street Fighter 2 tournament (or was it Dead or Alive...? A game where you were supposed to beat the snot out of each other, anyway). *grins* My brother had to buy a new control after he smashed his against the floor.

You must occasionally promote peace and nonviolence to keep 'em off balance.

So tempted to make a political quip on this, but... in my current state of mind I should probably avoid trying to be clever. So instead...

...nudity!

All my friends seem to love female infiltrator Shepard, which I find interesting. I want to make my Shepard a female adept.

Working on that now. First step would be in tracking my brother down, and getting the info from him... one way or another. And whoever has them had damn well be willing to give them back. I don't want to get ugly, but I'm afraid that I will if he doesn't cooperate.

O yes and here is a musical reminder of tonights programming for those that may have forgotten.
I wanna do bad things with you.

When you came in the air went out.
And every shadow filled up with doubt.
I don’t know who you think you are,
But before the night is through,
I wanna do bad things with you.

I’m the kind to sit up in his room.
Heart sick an’ eyes filled up with gloom.
I don’t know what you’ve done to me,
But I know this much is true:
I wanna do bad things with you.

But all sets of one vector are considered orthogonal. Also the zero vector dot product with the zero vector is zero. And the zero vector is orthogonal to everytihng.

Ah I see where my confusion was. I was confusing lines and vectors. I have trouble remembering the definition of orthogonal since my textbook used different terms. Had something against orthogonal for some reason. Then in that case yes it should be orthonormal. I think.

Well, I got the wildflowers and sunflowers in. I also redid another garden bed and planted haricots verts in it. Sadly, my rebellious grass still waves defiantly at me.

I so need to get the umpf to go outside and get a mower and mow that damnable yard, yet again. It's just hot and damned humid right now.

A nice day with my family. My niece Maggie is a delightful child. Very happy. The only time she fusses is if she's tired, hungry, or has a dirty diaper. Other than that she's pleasant and happy.

And everyone loved Charlie, including my great aunt and uncle (paternal grandmother's brother and sister), who had never met him before. My great uncle is cool - a WWII U.S. Navy vet.

And we got plenty of pics with the 6 of my parent's grandkids who were in attendance.
