Woke up dizzy at 12. Maybe I shouldn't stay so long after returning from overtime in the middle of the night.

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Wednesday! Although it's starting off a bit chilly here in Houston, it's supposed to end up really nice.

Scarab Sages

WTF Agents of SHIELD?!? That was ten tons of awesome in a one ton bag! Poor <redacted>, though. I was really starting to like him. Think he'll make a great villain, however! Way better than <redacted>.

Scarab Sages

F+%#ing stoopid crappy wifi here at the office. Had to turn it off on the phone.

Rough day ahead. Lost another one of our dogs. Paintball was an affectionate, sometimes playful, wonderful Dalmatian that we were lucky to have with us for 2 of his 9 years of life.

Hard to handle after losing our other older dog a few months ago.

Sorry to hear that. Positive waves.

Scarab Sages

Short and sweet today folks. Plenty to get done.

Morning, I am feeling a whole lot better today, I had an upset stomach yesterday.

Glad to hear you are feeling better.

No fun, but I'm glad you're feeling better.

Thanks for the well wishes all.

I really need to get on the ball and watch this show.

I like the Agents of Shield show. Sadly I have missed more episodes than I have seen. I need to go back and watch them while they are still up on the station website!

Just finished up with another batch of job applications. I had a phone interview for an interesting corporate level job yesterday that seemed to go well. I'm also taking a hard look at buying a business.

While it definitely is not a vacation, I have been able to take this time to catch up on some learning. With apologies to Freehold, I am much more social media savvy now and I am catching up on my business reading.

All in all, I think this hopefully brief sabbatical will refresh my batteries.

Hope all is well with everyone else in FaWtL world.

hey glad to hear things are going better for you, at least in part. I'm roughly the same, although I had lunch with a friend yesterday that got me in better spirits, although last night was rough. Got the second job today and I think I will stop by the comic book store to talk to people and say hey. Will flip through latest issue of kick ass.

I think you're doing fine as you are with regards to that show.

rags, handsome bastard that he is, raises an excellent point - arrow is an amazing show. You should watch that instead, ebon! Quality show, truly.

Thought I would try out my new alias here

I do enjoy Arrow. A few episodes had me wanting to throw things at Oliver though!

I tried 'The Banner Saga' soundtrack for writing, but still prefer Halo's.

I just realized that both Tommy Wiseau's "The Room" and James Nguyen's "Birdemic: Shock and Terror" take place in the Bay Area over a surprisingly short span of time. Does this mean that they take place in the same cinematic universe? We may never know.

Mom returns tomorrow from Poland. I will probably need to wash dishes because I doubt Dad will do this - especially if he goes for morning shift (I have no idea, he was already asleep when I returned from work).

You come visit me in Houston. I've got every SHIELD episode saved on my DVR. We'll do a marathon.

Hello, just a quick status update. Three weeks of Writer Block. I really need to do something about it. On the bright side, I haven't been completely uninspired, though my mind seems to focus mostly on Fate Stay Night related fanfiction or spin-offs. Also, Kingmaker got cancelled again for this week, so I'll be playing GURPS again on Saturday. So, how is everyone else here doing?

Dark Archive

Morning one and all. Hope ya'll are well today, and have a good one ahead. A bit dull here, weather wise, but not cold, and not wet, so, you know, pretty good. :) Thursday! Game night tonight, looking forward to it. Nothing like a TTRPG to lift one's spirits.

I have the kidlet this weekend! \o/ I also have classes in the capital, but that's okay. Parents are helping with minding while I attend them. It has been... 16 days since I last saw him, so I am looking forward to the weekend.

I have not seen the agents of SHIELD, but have heard very mixed reviews. probably will not watch, or at least, not before I catch back up on GoT and TWD. Winter Soldier was good though.

@Tordek - Good luck with job hunting! Or business buying! Whichever, good luck. :)

@FHDW - If you're familiar with "Bow chicka wow wow", it's supposed to sound like that. If you're not familiar with that, I do not know how to explain better than TFY. :P BTW, Monster Musume has a new Chapter up. In case you didn't know. :)

@Icy - Stressed currently, but keeping busy with work, and looking forward to game later. Good luck with the Writer's Block, I hear it can get pretty frustrating.

btw, are walls of text okay? Would a mini blitz be better? I see blitz's more commonly than walls of text here. Maybe I should break my posts up more. Hmm.

I do not mind walls of text, but I cannot speak on behalf of my fellow FaWtL's.

*hugs* At least if Liverpool & Everton win all their games, then the title is yours. :D

Very sorry for your loss Ebonfyre, words fail me.

And that's great news LordSynos, sounds like an action packed weekend.
Hope your focus goes exactly where you want it, to both Drejk & Icyshadow.

You missed one more line to make it haiku...

I don't either, but I still recommend spoiler-blocking it for the sake of those who do. For those of us who will read through it, it's a minor extra click that doesn't hurt anything, and for those who want to avoid it it's a small gesture that will be appreciated.

But yes, blitzing is also a respected alternative here. Just ask the local zombie population.

Father woke me up when he was leaving for work around 6... Mother woke me up with phone call around 9... Back woke me up by being in discomfort multiple times. I want to go back to sleep. Preferably on better bed.

Good morning FAWTLY FOLK! Happy Thursday! It's gonna be another beautiful, but busy, day here in God's Country.

Speaking of...

During our early March drive to New Orleans, we passed some bovine-populated fields.

Me: Charlie, look at the cows.
Charlie: I don't see no cows.

A few minutes go by.....

Me: Charlie, this is God's country.
Charlie: I don't see no God.

In other news: Orthos strange dreams time is go.

I recall that I was some kind of paranormal researcher or examiner of some sort who had to use codes and math to calculate things about the supernatural and/or send messages unnoticed by the enemy force. I don't recall what that force was, but I do recall people being quite intimidated by it, and a lot of things being on a need-to-know basis. I and my fellow researchers were on the trail of something notably big, and I spent most of the dream coding down numbers and complex calculations somehow connected to this force.

Near the end of the dream, we had to bring in some people - not part of our team or chain of command, I think, which probably made them witnesses of a sort. I recall my superior giving a stripped down version of my calculations, minus most of the numbers, to some of the people to read and see if it triggered any reactions or memories; sadly it didn't. I then, with some difficulty, convinced him or her (I don't recall ANYBODY'S face from this thing) to let me add some of the numbers to the things we were giving the civilians.

The last thing on the list was a column of repeated words:

VOICES
VOICES
VOICES
VOICES
VOICES
VOICES
VOICES

I don't recall how long it was. But I started adding some of the numbers from my calculations along the right side of the column. I recall the first number was 737.

When I started writing the second number (which I don't remember), there was this inhuman screech, a scream (perhaps my own?), and a tearing sensation, and I woke up.

Perhaps I shouldn't blitz through fey-focused books right before bed. I'd spent the 45 minutes before falling asleep reading through M. Todd Gallowglas's Dead Weight - The Tombs: A Tale of the Faerie War. Consider it Kingmaker research but apparently there are some side effects.

Scarab Sages

Love that kid.
