May he rest in peace. Prayers to his family in this time of grief.

R.I.P Well, I guess the traffic around my home is really going to be bad for a while ...

May he rest peacefully. He will very much be missed, especially now that health care reform is a hot button topic.

+RIP.

Very sad news.

May he receive in the next life all the rewards he was denied in this one.

I don't think the elect presidents there. I'm pretty sure that heaven is a theocracy. :)

Edward Kennedy was one of the most influental and enduring figures in Congress. While I usually disagreed with the mans politics, I could not help but admire his drive, his passion for his beliefs, his work ethic, and his lust for life

You know what? I'd like to believe that our community can do an obituary thread about a prominent person without throwing around a bunch of crap.

Removed some crap.

Thanks Gary. I apologize for my part in exacerbating the conversation; even if I was only trying to defend a dead man's honor.

My apologies Gary. I shouldn't have told such a joke this close to Ted's death.

Followed Gary and cleaned out a few more posts referencing posts he'd cleaned out. What a disappointing read this morning, guys. :-/

Farewell, Senator Kennedy. The Kennedy boys are together again at last.

And so passes the last Democrat who wasn't afraid of the "L" word. The Lion roars no longer.

Nope, and now the jackals slink out of the jungle to feast on the carcass....The battle for the Senate seat

Plus the inevitable legislative gymnastics over the appointing of an interim senator: The Mass legislature at work because now it's an emergency, despite having one Mass senator voting in Congress pretty much for the past two years.

Ahh Massachusetts, I love you so, though you treat me so bad, you forked-tongued harlot.

Ahh Teddy boy, I have a feeling we'll look fondly back on your reign, especially if your sleazy nephew Joe gets the nod. Ah well-a-day, better than Teddy's son Patrick I guess ...
