If we're going down that route I vote someone does a picture of Seelah and Kyra redeeming Amiri. If you know what I mean.

Spoiler:
They would be teaching her how to read and pointing out passages about goodness and honesty. It would be really cute.

Scarab Sages

Hey, all.
I have a commission for you. It'd be interesting to see multiple artists takes on the same character, but you can't always get what you wish for! ;)

Spoiler:

Mikalee of the desert

-Human,

-Osirion,

-Female,

-Barbarian,

-Over 6' tall.

-Tanned skin due to time in the desert,

-Black braided hair, like THIS. No head gear.

-Rides a heavy war-horse (with saddle) called ‘Ra’ (if you can be bothered to draw the horse).

-Weapons: Greatsword (primary), Javelins, Lance (on Ra) Dagger, Sling

-Armour: Decorated chain shirt with only one shoulder plate on right shoulder, with a symbol of Pharasma on the plate.

-Eye make-up, like THIS.

-Has tattoo of Pharasma on the left hand side of her abdomen.

Other than that, anything Egyptian goes! ;)

Thank you! :)

Cheers! :D

The Exchange

Oooh, awesome thread. I'd love to put in a commission or two if I may :) I'm also thinking that once I get back into practice I'll be happy to add my name to the list of people willing to do character drawings.

The first is for a Varisian (or two)

Spoiler:
The Mvashti Sisters

Twins related to (and up until recently were living with) Grandmother Mvashti in Sandpoint. I'd love to have my character Emyralda Mvashti drawn, the addition of her twin Esmyralda would just be a shiny bonus.

Em's Stats & background ~ I so need to update the journal >.>
Es has very similar stats, just swap the strength and wisdom around.

Both are stunning and more Varisian than a Varisian thing. Em is a battledancer and temple dancer (in some ways I see her as a chaotic monk of Desna!) and Es is a cleric of Desna. Both weild starknives (not that Em needs to)

For more ideas I have some existing drawings of them here, I especially love the ones by Kittencatty & Eva Wildermann (Eva is beyond awesome). I also made my own attempt here

And if people have time/the inclination for another:

Spoiler:
Wren

Priestess of Calistria in Korvosa. Her stats & background are here. She's minxy, occasionally bitter but usually quite down to earth. She has choppy short blonde hair (often looking as though she's hacked at it with a blade to keep it out of the way), dresses provocatively and is rarely seen without her whip, three daggers (although one of hers recently turned into a snake and ran away, damn planar critters) and her cohort; a pseudodragon. Feel free to use your imagination a bit on this one as you'll be the first to draw her (until I eventually have a stab at it)

Also think this is an awesome idea :). i know its cheeky but id like you guys to do two, if its not to much bother.

Spoiler:
Lorenzo Armand, pic. Pretty much, he is a bard and swashbucklery womenizer type. He plays string instroments mainly the lute, and he wears red and gold clothing (doublet and breaches or open shirt and breaches) with a golden Cayden Cailean symbol on a chian round his neck. He has an athletic build and is tanned.

Spoiler:
pic Tanrov Redhand, a shoanti barbarian ranger of the moon clan. He is bald and clean shaven, he is heavyly tattooed the main ones being the cresent moon in the centre of his forehead and stylized eyes on the backs of both hands.

Thanks very much :).

Oh dear god, that is such an adorable idea I have to at least try it! *is inspired*

Hey. I have a request for the awesome artists here.

Adela

Spoiler:

My CotCT character in our current Pathfinder game. :)

Adela is a human monk of Iomedae, 22 years old. Her build is rather small and light, standing 4'9" and 97lbs in weight. Her skin is olive - she would be dark haired, but her head is instead shaven.

Her clothing is pale in colour - she prefers to wear shades of white, cream or ivory. Generally, she wears loose-fitting trousers with sandals, along with a sleeveless top and a sash tied around her waist for a belt. Her hands and wrists are wrapped with bandages and each of her forearms has the symbol of Iomedae tattooed on them.

Her fighting style tends to be judo-esque - she's a grappler, but due to her own small size and weight, she tries to use her opponents strength and movement against them.

If D&D stats help, she's Str 13, Dex 14, Con 12, Int 10, Wis 14 and Cha 10.

If there's any other info I can give that would help, please just let me know! :)

As others above have said, this is a great thread! :D

lynora wrote:
Does Belsay wear shoes or is she more the traditional barefoot halfling?

She's a standard 3.5 kender-style, so shoes would be in order.

lynora wrote:
Does Hamish have a tartan style kilt or is this the older version of the garment? Either way what color?

I would go with the tartan; partly because they look cool and partly because I am unsure what you mean by the older version... (Quick Robin, to the Wiki mobile!)

For color, I would go with something like this maybe...

lynora wrote:
I'm suddenly blanking on the name of the monk. Okay, well, you know who I mean. Does he have any body art or jewelry of any kind?

I hadn't thought of any. Probably not much room for tattoos over the scars. I could see an earring maybe, but a nipple ring just doesn't sound like him, heh.

lynora wrote:
And is Swiz a 3.5 gnome? The grey hair makes me think probably yes, but I wanted to make sure.

Yup. 3.5.

Thanks!

Thank you Denis for posting your colored versions of Brand. I enjoy my character much more now that I can visualize what he's like more accurately, thank you Butterfrog for your rendition of Brand the Wizard. If i ever get the time to color brand as he is in my current game, I'll most certainly share it with everyone here!

Yeah, I should have paid attention to how you wanted him colored... I just sort of adopted him for my own. Glad you like the color job. I might be able to change some of the colors... what would you like different?

Dark Archive

Well, in my current game, he has a black hooded rat for his familiar. His staff is made of a silver metal, topped with a sapphire. His robes are blue, and his clothes underneath are black. Other than that, he's blond with blue eyes. I have a cloak, but I honestly don't remember what color it was.

Sheesh! I don't check this thread for two weeks and it goes totally off the chain. I just read through 500 posts on the old thread and all this one just to get caught up (but got to see a bunch of awesome new art all at once <grin>). Haven't even looked at the monster thread but will soon. The art is just getting better and better all around. I'll send you my email address right away Hugo. Good to see such a burgeoning art community :)

P.S. Can't wait to see the ladies all lined up in the Pathfinder montage.....OH! and the calender too ;)

I'm doing the same, but I'm really out of practice. Yikes, I didn't think the old skills could deteriorate that much.

I've found that people are not nearly as critical here as we all are about our own stuff. Don't be afraid to jump in. Don't worry, you'll do great and whoevers stuff you draw will just be happy to have the picture.

People here its awesome! There are no criticisme, just positive commentaries. But commissioners and commissionist know the skill level and gladly accept it as it it, I suppose that's why there are no nasty comments. We all know we are no DaVinci's and we do this for fun and practice so so far we have got along real nice!

So all new artists are more than welcome and be not "affraid" of hard critics! Jump in and help make more people happy and polish your skills!!! :D

I had received three surprises in the past days... and I MUST share these with you:

Check the Journal on the right side

Those without a deviant account may not see Merisel, since its "adult material"...Sorry about that...

Current status: Farelon on sketch is getting shape, should be ready on saturday night/sunday Morning. The Mag commissions HAVE to befinished tomorrow so hopefully on sunday I'll start the next female commission. I'm giving priority to the other commissions but I'm not forgeting those in line for so long now ;)

Ok, so I suck too. But I gave fair warning at the beginning. It should not be taking this long to get the posture of a single person right. but at least I finally got relative race sizes down. now I just need to also get the faces. my eyes always turn out half-anime, half-comic and half-wierd realistic thing, like I don't know where I want to go with them. really destroys the whole picture.
