3/5

This Guard joins the ranks of the many other guard miniatures already on the market. I have a particular fondness for this one. I really like his outfit most of all. It feels very European.

yes, i know i'm short!

2/5

maybe 2 1/2 stars here but, i found that guard mini to be too short... the mini was not badly painted however. I got rid of mine!

Quick Mooks, Into Fireball Formation!

3/5

Sculpt Quality: Solid
Paint Quality: Solid
Comment: I don't expect a mook to have the best sculpt or paint job. Everything about this mini is how I'd expect a generic/common mini to be. WizKids/Paizo took extra care in packaging to ensure that the weapon didn't arrive bent.
Recommendation: Worth It
*Review based on 3 minis of consistent quality.

Bad Paint, Good Soldier

3/5

The paint is ugly & poorly applied, and the weapon is bendy (why not glue them to the base, when they're held that way? sheesh...). Despite my disappointment, several of them together do make an impressive military force.

Halt! Who goes there?

3/5

Another decent mini, another muddy paint job. Can someone please remove muddy red and black from the choices the painters are given? The sculpt is fine -- and as a bonus it came in a little plastic holder to keep the weapon from getting bent -- but my goodness this thing is hard on the eyes. The eyebrow choices could take up paragraphs by themselves, but more importantly we have some paint bleed on the hands from the sleeves or very poor choices on how far we let the sleeves come down. The colors are frankly atrocious and make picking details of the outfit difficult, making it look worse than it actually is. It's an ok mini, but not one that pops on the table.
