I'm just assembling furniture this weekend. A LOT of furniture. Man, one day I'd like to meet the guy who makes the instructions for these furniture kits and kind of punch him in the mouth!! Lol just kidding, but I have silently cursed them out a few times today.

That's a charming story. Remind me to avoid Rovagug in the future will you?

Just for the sake of expediency, lets say that Darian, after much struggle and fuss, manages to get Bardy into the wagon.

Click here for a youtube video that resembles Darian's attempt to subdue Bardy

Bardy looks at Baptiste in alarm and then glances warily down at the arms protruding from his belly yu half human? Is human trying to get out?

Cognizant of the fact that his "in your face because I'm a freed slave" attitude isn't going to win him any friends, Bardy tries a different tact. He remembers hearing about a tradition amongst the cleaner folk whereby offering them food is a sign of friendship ... or peace ... or something like that.

Bardy sticks his whole head in the slop bucket like he is dunking for apples in a barrel. After an alarmingly long period of time you start to think he might drown in the bucket, up comes his head with a mouldy bun clenched between his teeth. There is a river of unidentifiable sloppy goop running down his beard and onto his shirt. He spits the bun onto the table and declares in triumph ...

HAAAAAAARRRR! See dat? I dint even gets my hands dirty! Want a bite?

Ok, I'm going with a Gully Dwarf cleric. DM, should I stick with the Pathfider racial adjustments for dwarves? Or should there be some adjustments?

Pathfinder Dwarf: +2 con, +2wis, -2cha
Gully Dwarf?: +3con, +2wis, -2cha, -2int?

Or something like that? Rationale being they aren't too smart (-2int) but are able to survive on a diet of rats and garbage (+1 extra con).

He's probably going to be a former disgraced chieftain of a clan now forced to head off into a life of danger in his disgrace.

And a bunch of us lurking in the background. Dragonlance was a pivotal series for me and I will forever hold its memories close. I am getting my kids to read the books now.

Well, I hate to say it but since Gunk failed his sense motive check and he just met Curden he would probably believe he was in league with the bad guys given his actions. I mean he did shoot some of the guards and now he seems to be negotiating an alliance with the kidnapper. Can we get an updated map DM Caleth?

Gunk casts shield on himself and readies to charge.

Ages ago I made this character for a Kingmaker campaign that started off really well. We had a good group and a good DM but things just went flatline after the first outpost encounter. I'd love to find a DM and some players interested in starting this AP or even Skull and Shackles.

Is there anyone interested? I suppose starting with a DM to create the world would be best.

good call vuvu. I just might do that.

Oh another funny story was one time we encountered a rainbow colored wall that we needed to pass. It was second edition and I forget the name of the spell but basically every color of the rainbow had a completely different nasty effect. Each layer would disappear once its effect was used up. It went down like this:

Roll d8:
1 = the red layer of the wall ... take 10d6 damage
2 = the orange layer of the wall ... permanent blindness
3 = the yellow layer of the wall ... get hit by chain lightening
4 = teleported to the 9th plain of hell
5 = save or die

and so on.

At that point we were down to 3 party members and we didn't have a dispel magic or anything else left to combat the layers of the wall and none of us felt like making death save after death save for every layer. However, we did find a box of newborn kittens a few rooms earlier. After 30 minutes of debate we finally decided that the kittens would serve a greater good if we pitched them one at a time into the rainbow wall dispelling each of the layers one at a time. I'm sure peta would have a problem with this tactic but it sure worked great! We took out every single one of those layers with no death and no one died.

Ok, just a few points of clarification as tonight is geek night and I fully expect to hear about this lol

1. By "all these archers were picking us off one by one" he means that the enemy archers didn't land a single shot; not even 1 point of damage. I however almost took one of them out in the first round prior to your fantastic fog cloud spell. You guys were hiding behind a wall at the time.

2. It also bears mentioning that said ranger has "undead" as my favored enemy TWICE. So thats +4 to hit and +4 damage to every single attack. However, you took me completely out of the fight AND the tank as well.

3. Yeah, sure I lived but the cleric had to burn all of his healing spells on me. Those arent for me! Those are for the tank. Thats valuable party resources you misallocated! 8)

4. By "there was no chance of his dying" he means I was down to 8 hp and lost my dex bonus to my ac and couldn't run away. I can see why one might think I was invulnerable!

5. I almost forgot a critical incident. Way back on the Shiv we were constantly being hit by snares and traps. The same druid had the spell "detect snares and pits" but refused to cast it on me when I was ahead scouting because it would ... and I quote ... "be a waste"

8)

PS who is driving tonight? you or me? if its you I need to pick up some beer so your tactics seem reasonable!

Oh and Adamantine Dragon, I will keep you posted.

Um, hoping I am posting in the correct place. Is anyone aware of a thread that helps noob DMs in setting up a PBP campaign here on the forums? I am new to the world of PBP other than as a player in one campaign that seems to be falling a bit flat.

Thanks for the reminder. I really should put all my gear on that character profile. I've put it on paper but the DM needs to know it too I suppose. I do much prefer actual paper character sheets over digital ones.

updating now as I didn't put my armor on there nor did I put my rope and grappling hook and iron spikes.

Oh, and DM Trav, how much detail do you want on those online character sheets?

Do you want all AC stats? Melee AC, FF AC, touch AC?
All skills? Trained and untrained?
Weight?
Food use tally?
Ammo? Oh, and BTW I have 8 daggers listed and those are for my ranged attack ... and to a lesser extent do intimidate.

Cheers.
