He toasts the buxom Calisro Benarry with a wink. "Bottoms up, Cap'n!"

A hidden door in the wall flies open, releasing a putrid stench. Armored bodies pour out of the opening, gathering into a tidal wave of rotting flesh and steel that quickly reaches the ceiling.

Before she can respond to Glen's invitation to 'back that thang up,' Calisro Benarry cries out, "Are you lot going to be scared off by a few dead bodies? Come on, let’s go!" She draws her blade, preparing to fight.

The inquisitor draws his enchanted elven curve blade and holds the sword aloft. "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness!" Heedless of the danger, he charges into battle.

"Let's set up over there," the inquisitor suggests. "What do you think?"

Glen helps pack up the artifacts the team finds within the cave. "Not a bad day's work, friends."

Once the party is ready, and hoping he'll air dry soon, he sets off for the garrison.

Arriving outside the squat stone fort sitting atop a small rise a mile east of town, he can see the signal lamps at each cavern entrance. "Wow, it looks like a starry nightscape."

The inquisitor waits for one of the more charismatic members of the team to hail the leader of the several soldiers stationed along the fort’s roof parapets, who are observing the distant pinpricks of light.

"Yes, sir, we've got urgent matters to discuss with your commander. We're here with the governor's blessing."

His life link with Berosius heals some of his wounds, and the oracle's burst of positive energy heals the rest. "Thanks, Ber-bro!"

Pangs of hunger beginning to gnaw at his gut, Glen draws on a reserve of luck borne of his experience as a Pathfinder.

Glen flies out of the gashadokuro's reach and casts another spell, freedom of movement, which he hopes might keep him from being grabbed and swallowed by the creature's gaping maw.

Then the inquisitor renders his judgment. "I judge your unholy mass with sacred justice and destruction!"
