Sounds fine
Thranalas |
It's inevitable, I always get a horrible cold in early October. I'll post until better, but forgive the lack of prose.
Bonaventure! |
I was just reviewing my Faction Journal Cards, and I forgot to requisition items for the Master Librarian reward.
Before the start of an adventure, you can requisition up to three alchemical or magic items (except wands or scrolls with multiple spells) whose total gold piece value does not exceed 100 × your character level. You and your allies can use these items freely, but Zarta expects you to return any unused items at the end of the adventure.
So I can get up to 600gp. Would it be OK if I got a scroll of daylight (375gp), scroll of gust of wind, (150gp), and an antitoxin (50gp), total of 575gp?
Again, sorry, but this is the first time I've played the character since I earned the reward.
Bonaventure! |
Just checking in to make sure everything is OK.
Bonaventure! |
So assuming we finish this Silver Crusade mission, we have two more missions available, Grand Lodge and Sovereign Court. Any opinions?
I'd prefer Sovereign Court myself.
Bonaventure! |
Neither Radagast nor Jinsa have a ring of protection +1 or a cloak of protection +1, which of you want which item?
There are also two potions of shield of faith, I suggest that whoever doesn't get the ring of protection +1 get those.
I noticed that Grog only has a shortbow, we found a masterwork composite longbow (+2) that he could use to have better ranged options.

1. Both of your readied actions could not be triggered until after the minotaurs had acted, so you moved to after the minotaurs. 2. They're dead.
Sorry, I'm not trying to be argumentative, though I suppose I am anyway. Although as you point out it is a somewhat moot point due to the minotuars death, the underlying principle is still important.
The action occurs just before the action that triggers it. If the triggered action is part of another character’s activities, you interrupt the other character. Assuming he is still capable of doing so, he continues his actions once you complete your readied action. Your initiative result changes. For the rest of the encounter, your initiative result is the count on which you took the readied action, and you act immediately ahead of the character whose action triggered your readied action.

Regarding Faction Conditions
Dark Archive: Once during the adventure, you may make undead opponents confused for 1 round.
The Exchange: For the duration of one encounter, you may treat your weapon as if it had an enhancement bonus +2 higher than normal.
GM Blake |
More conditions:
The Exchange: When the Overseer GM announces that the Exchange objective is fulfilled, a cache of pristine and deadly armaments becomes available. At the beginning of one encounter, the PCs can activate this benefit to treat the enhancement bonuses of all their weapons as 2 higher for the duration of the encounter. Treat the effective enhancement bonus of mundane weapons as +0.
Grand Lodge: When the Overseer GM announces that the Grand Lodge objective is fulfilled, Absalom’s flag rises over Fort Tempest and emboldens the city’s defenders. At the beginning of one encounter, the PCs can activate this benefit to gain a number of temporary hit points equal to three times their APL (minimum 6 temporary hit points); these last until the end of the encounter.
Liberty’s Edge: When the Overseer GM announces that the Liberty’s Edge objective is fulfilled, freed slaves cast off their chains to join Absalom’s defense. At the beginning of one encounter, the PCs can activate this benefit to increase their land speed by 10 feet for the duration of the encounter.
Silver Crusade: When the Overseer GM announces that the Silver Crusade objective is fulfilled, the faithful of Sarenrae return to Absalom in force to heal embattled defenders’ wounds. The group gains one free use of the Aid Token’s Burst of Healing benefit that the PCs can activate at their discretion.
Sovereign Court: When the Overseer GM announces that the Sovereign Court objective is fulfilled, members of Absalom’s nobility rally the defenders and direct their household guards to shore up key areas. The group gains one free use of the Aid Token’s Timely Inspiration benefit that the PCs can activate at their discretion.
GM Blake |
Aid Token passed on.
As a reminder: Aid Tokens function outside of actions (or consider them a free action), so anyone can activate one at any time, even if it's not their turn (or even if they're incapacitated).

Heads up everyone. I'll be AFK from Friday 1300ish until Tuesday 0700. I will do my best to check in once per day, but I'm expecting it to be a bit difficult (I'll be in Washington DC as pit crew for my fiancee as she runs a marathon.)
Bonaventure! |
Given how difficult that fight was for us in our subtier, I'm hesitant to fight the next subtier higher. So I vote for the harbor.
Yen Jinsa Taishin |
agreed...
GM Blake |
Since the next minotaurs guards are the same as the captain you just fought minus the wings, resistances, and giant glaive, I am relieved you choose the sea.
GM Blake |
Here is everyone's Chronicle except for Jinsa's.
Once we resolve Jinsa's negative level, I'll upload his Chronicle, too.
Bonaventure! |
Alternatively, if Jinsa doesn't want to risk the temporary negative level becoming permanent, he can pay for a restoration with the 100gp material component to remove the temporary negative level before it becomes permanent.
Also, yes, thank you for running!
Chandu |
Thanks very much for running. Do we need to roll for boons? If so here goes:
Boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Also, just as a note, I actually get tier7-8 gold rather than OOT. This was clarified in one of the more recent guides. Its dealt with on page 10:
Step 5: Determine the Max Gold for the adventure based on the PC’s advancement rate and the subtier played. Circle the applicable value (F). If the PC’s level is not within the subtier played (such as a 1st-, 2nd-, or 3rd-level character in Subtier 4–5), circle the Out-of-Subtier gold
value or calculate the Out-of-Subtier value for Seasons 0–4 by taking the average of both subtiers and rounding up. For special scenarios with 4 or more subtiers, give the character the gold value for the tier that matches his character level, rather than the tier played. Write this
value beside area F and circle it. This value represents the total gold piece value a character receives for defeating all enemies and finding all treasure in an adventure
GM Blake |
OK. Thanks for the clarification on the gold. I'll get that fixed today.
I usually roll boons en bloc so I'm not waiting on people to report.
GM Blake |
Bonaventure: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Chandu: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Grog: 1d20 ⇒ 1

Yen Jinsa Taishin: 1d20 ⇒ 2
