GM Tyranius Gameday VII: Assault on Absalom Special (Inactive)

This is tier 7-8, right? I was originally hoping to bring my L9 investigator as he would be one game short of L10, but due to the outages, he won't be around for a while. So bringing Bambang, my L8 occultist. I think there's another in this game, so hope we don't step on each other's toes too much.

Unfortunately with the outages, my monk will not be available in time. So, I have to switch to this Investi-Rogue.

Any preference druid, alchemist, shaman.

I like them all. I really enjoy the defuff/control a shaman can offer.

This is going to be a fast moving special. I will be posting multiple times a day to try and get us through as many of the events as possible. Though I can only go as fast as the slowest poster.

With that being said, if you have not posted in 24 hours I will bot you to keep the table moving forward and give you guys the best possible experience.

The official start date is not until Oct 1 but we have been given the green light to do the mustering and preparation portion here until then to ramp up our roleplaying. :)

Tak will copy theo took a potion of Fly, and some evil outsider bane ammo of a type someone else can use. Anyone can claim it if they want.

I will also take evil, outsider bane ammunition (of a type useful to a ranged character.

I was on the fence between Blade of Bright Victory or Life Bubble. 10 hours of immunity to Cloudkill and the like was too good to pass up.

Thanksgiving this weekend (the proper one, not that odd american turkey day version).

Internet unlikely... so will be somewhat quiet til Tuesday.

Try to find the social encounters I can't help on anyway, til then =)

Though I think someone mentioned that some of the tables (I think the card ones) can't help with the silver crusade and liberty's edge missions at all.

I'm good going down the list in order.

As soon as we get in melee range of these folks (probably next round) I'd say we should activate the aid token and send it along.

Here is what boons you have received from closing locations so far. i will add them into the Boon link above with the rest.

Dark Archive: When the Overseer GM announces that the Dark Archive objective is fulfilled, Pathfinder agents begin broadcasting illuminated signals that confuse the Black Echelon agents. Once during the adventure, the PCs can activate this benefit grant all undead creatures present the confused condition for 1 round. If an undead creature confused in this way attacks a PC, it takes a penalty on its attack rolls equal to half the group’s APL.

The Exchange: When the Overseer GM announces that the Exchange objective is fulfilled, a cache of pristine and deadly armaments becomes available. At the beginning of one encounter, the PCs can activate this benefit to treat the enhancement bonuses of all their weapons as 2 higher for the duration of the encounter. Treat the effective enhancement bonus of mundane weapons as +0.

Grand Lodge: When the Overseer GM announces that the Grand Lodge objective is fulfilled, Absalom’s flag rises over Fort Tempest and emboldens the city’s defenders. At the beginning of one encounter, the PCs can activate this benefit to gain a number of temporary hit points equal to three times their APL (minimum 6 temporary hit points); these last until the end of the encounter.

Liberty’s Edge: When the Overseer GM announces that the Liberty’s Edge objective is fulfilled, freed slaves cast off their chains to join Absalom’s defense. At the beginning of one encounter, the PCs can activate this benefit to increase their land speed by 10 feet for the duration of the encounter.

Silver Crusade: When the Overseer GM announces that the Silver Crusade objective is fulfilled, the faithful of Sarenrae return to Absalom in force to heal embattled defenders’ wounds. The group gains one free use of the Aid Token’s Burst of Healing benefit that the PCs can activate at their discretion.

Sovereign Court: When the Overseer GM announces that the Sovereign Court objective is fulfilled, members of Absalom’s nobility rally the defenders and direct their household guards to shore up key areas. The group gains one free use of the Aid Token’s Timely Inspiration benefit that the PCs can activate at their discretion.

I just have to say, these boons are fantasic! Makes me wonder just how tough its going to be latter on.

Let's try and get the posting rate back up to what we had with Part 2. We still have a lot of ground to cover :)

I saw reference to us getting one on the GM thread, on Monday morning... but don't see any mention of it here.

We have a bunch of bonus we earn from the skills portion at the beginning.

With this encounter nearly over you now have two options.

1. First you can pursue another Minotaur commander in which case you attempt to sneak past another guard post to reach the next highest sub-tier commander.

2. Or Alternatively, you can go to the harbor and fight the Silent
Tide

Can we really do another bit in 2 days or less?

Depends on the posting rate really. Definitely don't have enough time for taking on the Silent Tide but it is your choice if you wish to try and take on the more challenging Tier 10-11 commanders.

Or we can wait for the next portion on the 30th.

Considering we are down Crios and the last one nearly took Anduris out in a single round, I'm okay waiting. However, if the party wants to take down another one, I am game to support the group's decision.
