Female Human Cleric/4

Asmodia's readied action goes off, and she Channels Energy to Heal/Stabilize (5/5) for 1d6 ⇒ 1 damage.

Have I rolled a single heal die over 1 this entire game?

Male Human Barbarian 5

Assuming my Reflex save doesn't apply, if I can't react

Concentrating the tiefling splits once more into twins avoiding any potential counters by LeVash and Bloodless. LeVash's blow pings off the Tieflings breastplate who doesn;t seem concerned whatsoever over the druids presence. They strike Bloodless square across the head with his held morningstar grinning widely at the bloodshed. 8 damage to bloodless "Flee while you can fools!"

Asmodia prevents immediate deaths while Bejis eats some delicious fire. Or he would but he cannot chew.

Meanwhile outside the Tieflings start to groan and stir.

Bejus may continue saving DC15.

Attacking him again. Though he would have also provoked an AOO when he cast as it is a Sp ability, not a Su. If so, then this attack would have gone before he split, and his attack...in which case he is probably very much dead before he does much at all

Attack 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 4 + 2 = 23
Damage 2d6 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (5, 6) + 7 + 2 = 20

Pending second attack until clarification given :)

I believe he 'cast' defensively

LeVash steps forward and tries to strike the tiefling again

Shillelagh: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16 - Dmg: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (1, 2) + 1 = 4...another miss, I'm sure, but at least I'm threatening him

Female Human Cleric/4

Asmodia steps to -G24 and assumes a full defensive stance to keep the tieflings from attacking her downed comrades.

LEVash has it. The First line of the post even describes it. But let's hope for that magic number.

1d2 ⇒ 2

Piff from Bloodless.

Ping from LeVash.

Oh ok, didn't see him make a spellcraft check so didn't connect the dots. You always have to 'concentrate' so it didn't really stand out :p

Male Orc Expert 5

Let's see Bejis make that save and channel his beeerrrzeerkerrr rage!!!!

Male Human Barbarian 5

Will save: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 1 = 7 Blah, almost out of rage too.

What's my burn damage?

status:
HP: 12/30; Used 8 of 9 rages; Raged 6 consecutive rounds

Male Orc Expert 5

None it was just thematics. You are not actually on fire. Though you did eat 14 damage from the spell.

As bloodless growls in frustration at slicing through another illusionary double LeVash attempts to smash the tiefling again and is thwarted by his armor. Calla is stabilized but still appears very much injured. Bejis struggles feebly against the will of Asmodeus. Asmodia finds herself caught between the wrath of an evil cleric and the moans and groans of tieflings as they rub their eyes and grumble about their massive headaches. They remain otherwise down for now.

As the Tiefling finds himself cornered he casts his spell like ability defensively once more determined to survive this encounter at all costs. He swings for bloodless once more hoping to kill the celestial before he manages to get lucky with those man hewing blows he's throwing. He lands another solid blow 4 damage The floating spectral mace in the meantime seems to have caught the "rollingbaditis" and fails to harm LeVash once more.

MAP!

Things are looking grim for the group who is up!

Male Human (Chelaxian) Druid (Urban) - 4

LeVash calls out to whoever is behind him, "Can someone kill the Tieflings before they wake?"

Shillelagh: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 - Dmg: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (1, 2) + 1 = 4...hopefully a hit this time.

Male Orc Expert 5

Magic number roll roll roll tell us the tiefling that we have pounded.

1d2 ⇒ 2

PIFF!

On the other hand this might end badly for the tiefling.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Druid (Urban) - 4

Now I'm a bit confused. Did he attack Bloodless *and* create another duplicate?

M Elf HP:33/33, AC:19/T:15/FF:14 - Percep: +10(LL Vis) F:+4/R:+9/W:+3 CMD: 20, Spd: 30ft, Init: +6 Rogue 4 (Pregen)

1/20

Bloodless swings again...

Attack 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 4 + 2 = 21
Damage 2d6 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (3, 2) + 7 + 2 = 14

Female Human Cleric/4

Asmodia charges the bastard at -G28 and strikes with her rapier.

Asmodia armed strike against Bastard 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16 if she hits, she will deal 1d6 ⇒ 5 damage.

Male Human Barbarian 5

Bejis will end the rage before his turn.
Fatigued for 12 rounds :-(

Full Round action - Will save 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 + 1 = 17 Figures

Bejis will 5 foot step to -J22.

LeVash wrote:

Move action abilities are fun. I highly recommend them.

With a heavy sweep of his blade Bloodless lands a deeo cut into the Tiefling who roars in outrage as he lashes back with a heavy blow of his own dropping Bloodless to the floor like a heap of potatoes. 7 damage As if sensing its casters rage the spectral mace clocks LeVash equally hard in the back of the head reminding it of its presence 4 damage. Through sheer will Bejis pulls himself free of the Tieflings spell but seems tired from the effort adn moves sluggishly towards the tiefling. Asmodia stabs one of the tieflings on the ground who cries out in pain and curses but is otherwise still alive. They remain on the ground clutching at their eyes. Enraged and bleeding the apparent cleric and leader glares with murderous eyes towards LeVash. Whether he simply forgot his defenses or is incapable of using them again he has not split into his illusory double this round.

GROUP IS UP! AND VERY MUCH WOUNDED!

MAP!

Female Human Cleric/4

Asmodia will continue striking the dazed Bastard with her rapier.

Asmodia armed attack against Bastard 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14 if it hits it will deal 1d6 ⇒ 2 damage.

Male Orc Expert 5

Just a thought if you have any healing left nows a good time to use it on the group that is currently getting its collective ass handed to it. They're all pretty efficient at killing people who can't fight back I here. :)

Female Human Cleric/4

Asmodia has the potions in her bag. I suppose I could ixney the last action and withdraw to make them available to everyone. I believe bloodless has a potion of cure mod. My last channel went to stabilizing Calla.

Male Orc Expert 5

Well Bloodless is currently sitting at -6 HP. He's apparently followed Calla to hell to make her stay more pleasant.

M Elf HP:33/33, AC:19/T:15/FF:14 - Percep: +10(LL Vis) F:+4/R:+9/W:+3 CMD: 20, Spd: 30ft, Init: +6 Rogue 4 (Pregen)

can't really do much with a potion of cure moderate in toe to toe combat... :( unfortunately that Tiefling was extremely lucky one too many times for poor old Bloodless.

Female Human Cleric/4

All right then, if you will allow me to retcon...

Asmodia steps back to -H23 and pulls a potion of Cure Light Wounds to administer to the unconscious Calla on her next initiative.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Druid (Urban) - 4

Alas, not a lot of options

Shillelagh: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 - Dmg: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (2, 4) + 1 = 7...not even close.

"Bejis, when you're ready, I'll do my best to bolster you."

Male Human Barbarian 5

Bejis closes in on the caster with labored breathing, attacking with his greatsword. -G19

He prays, "Gorum, guide my hands," as he makes his attack.

Greatsword, fatigued 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21 for 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (2, 5) + 3 = 10

status:
HP: 8/26; Used 8 of 9 rages; Fatigued for 11 rounds (including this one)

Male Orc Expert 5

As the tiefling squares off with LeVash he easily parries the blow from him. Meanwhile Asmodia sneaks into the room and prepares to revive Calla. Lurching foward Bejis gives his prayer and cause the tiefling to look up. With a surprised cry the Tiefling raises his weapon in a feeble defense as Bejis splits his head open and the cleric falls to the ground. Quickly the other three are dispatched and the group is left wounded, beaten, but victorious.

Female Human Cleric/4

And there was much rejoicing.

I suppose that we could force the cure mod potion down Bloodless's throat, gave a cure light to Calla, meaning Asmodia has one more. Would you like me to roll those cure potions or yourselves? Given Asmodia's luck with the healing die...

Male Human Barbarian 5

I believe that LeVash can use Stablize on the fallen

Once his comrades are not at immediate risk, Bejis looks to the Tieflings, saying, "Perhaps they had some healing potions as well."

Unsure if anyone else is coming, Bejis wants to:

1. Check the Tieflings for potions, with the goal of finding potential healing potions.
2. Check the desk, beds, or other likely places for possible evidence. (Notes, logs, payment records, or evil ritual looking documents) Perception bonus is +6, not sure if there is a secret roll needed
3. Using some scrap cloth and his belt knife, start cutting the "mummies" wrapping while attempting not to touch them.

Female Human Cleric/4

Asmodia will cast Detect Magic and spend several rounds concentrating and sweeping the tieflings, and the foe that caused the group so many problems in the next room.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Druid (Urban) - 4

Levash will Stabilize both Bloodless.

"Hold off on the heavy duty healing, I've had 3 potions sitting on my belt since we first started all this that won't eat into anyone's personal stash."

Cure Light Potion on Calla: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Cure Light Potion on Bloodless: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Not bad...if that doesn't bring them conscious, I'll use a final potion on whoever is in worst shape

Cure Light Potion on <whoever>: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Male Orc Expert 5

As LeVash tends to the wounded the others do a quick search of the bodies and room. After several minutes of this it become apparent that this group is apparently the last of the Bastards.

An inventory:

By the Bed: A crumpled note that says the following.

Crumpled note:

[b]Palaveen-While we appreciate the work of your Bastards, the Council never intended for the relationship to be anything more than that. We should't need to remind you that if your tiring applications continue, we'll need to colve this in a manner less concerned with your continued good healt.

On Palaveen:
A Magical morning star
A magical breastplate
an iron unholy symbol of Asmodeus
A key to the chest across the room,
A magical potion
A wand.
350gp

On the Mummys(2):
A potion
A tanglefoot bag
A dagger
50gp

On the Tieflings(4).
LEather armor
A light crossbow
A short sword
12 bolts

In the chest after it has been opened:

A variety of things that appaer to be valuable.

An itemized list with exacting detail on what waas stolen from where and whether or not the owners were killed

A half finished letter to soemthign called "the Council" asking for more skeletal wolves to guard the lair and no small amount of frustration for not being granted an audience with them.

A leather bag containing about 50 of the wooden coins of Mammon the Bastards are infamous for.

A Masterwork Dagger
A Masterwork Rapier
A jeweled non masterwork short sword
A small bag of gems including one high quality pearl
A box of high quality jewelry

As to the rooms themselves they appeared to have been sparse living areas. Palaveen died on his own bed while piles of wrappings and a chess board with an unfinished game (black appears to have been winning). The other room appears to have been barracks with barrels of water and alcohol along with some dried fruits and plenty of meat. The personal effects of the bastards give a small portrait into their personal lives including crudely drawn pornography and a series of love notes that had apparently been passed between the two (both lovers appear to have been female). Well worn novels and even a contraband novelization of the long since banned murderplay the Six Fold Trial.

Female Human Cleric/4

Asmodia dispenses the potion of Cure Light she has remaining to any who wish to take it, channels beer into her tankard and giggles softly as she examines the pornography and love letters while sitting on one of the beds.

"Oh, how the good Lord Erastil's flock hath fallen," she coos happily, tipping back her tankard. "Well then," she says and folds the missives and tucks them into her purse. "What are we to do with these piles of filth?" she inquires. "I believe it would be an offense to the Good Lord to bury them upon hallowed ground, but... wouldn't seem right to leave em to rot elsewhere. And such a good number of them is likely to rouse suspicion."

Male Human Barbarian 5

Bejis says, "I could use a new healing potion, I used all mine up". Bejis would prefer to save healing potions for combat situations.

"How many of the living people on that list have items here?"

Bejis starts looking at the magical breastplate, and looks to the spellcasters of the group. "How can you tell if it's cursed?"

Female Human Cleric/4

"After we finish the beer, and decide what is to be done with the multitude of corpses in this place, we take these items to a safe place," Asmodia yawns, "and then we sleep. And when we wake in the morning, and our heads are clearer, we will identify the items."

Asmodia looks over the more involved texts, including a second glance at the crumpled note. "I am certain that once the buzz has worn off, something about that note will prove mighty ominous. For the moment, howver," she yawns again, "I have not the mind to decipher its intent. Assuming there is one..."

M Elf HP:33/33, AC:19/T:15/FF:14 - Percep: +10(LL Vis) F:+4/R:+9/W:+3 CMD: 20, Spd: 30ft, Init: +6 Rogue 4 (Pregen)

"Ugh, that hurt a little more than I expected. Thought the heavens must have needed me and decided it was time for me to go."

Bloodless looks slightly upbeat about the whole matter, as though no one told him he was unconscious or something.

"And we seem to have recovered a decent haul too!"

Half-Elf (Chelaxian) Female HP 109, AC 26/18/21, F +13*, R +11*, W +15*, Init +8, Per +22 Inquisitor 13

Calla wakes with a groan after Asnodia pours the potion down her throat and looks around groggily. "Ah see we seem to have won," she says, getting up gingerly, and reaching for one of her own potions.

She wipes away a few flakes of dead skin after quaffing the potion, her usual pale complexion returning as the burns instantly disappear.

After listening to a recounting of the events and Asmodia's mention of what to do next, she reminds the group "Unless someone killed them, the Bastards mah spell knocked out should still be alive in the other room." I assume someone bound them at least.

At Bejis' question, she holds out her hand for the breastplate and quickly casts detect magic.

Cure light potion: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

I'm adding Tark's list to the party treasure in my profile unless/until someone claims something.

Spellcraft check on breastplate: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Spellcraft check on mace: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Spellcraft check on Palaveen's potion: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Spellcraft check on wand: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Spellcraft check on mummy's potion: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

Female Human Cleric/4

Tark's post assumed we killed all of the Bastards, at least that's how I read it. And Asmodia would have poured the potion down your throat, but is cool. :P

Male Orc Expert 5

Pretty much. They had another three rounds of stumbling about blind and stunned. Honestly LeVash could have walked in and started clonking heads until they were all dead. No ned to waste time with that.

Calla:

+1 Breastplate
+1 Morningstar
Potion of Disguise Self
2 Potions of Cure Moderate wounds.
Wand of Cure Light wounds (11 charges)

Taking the time you can discern that most of the stuff with the exception of the list above and the first line of valuable items still belong to living people. The rest belong only to the dead. Whether or not they may ahve heirs or surviviving family that is beyond the scope of the list.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Druid (Urban) - 4

"So we return what we can, with a little note that it's courtesy of the Haloran League, and everyone is happy. The rest we sell and divide...makes for a good night's work."

Female Human Cleric/4

"Aye, redistributin' wealth is somethin' I can get behind," Asmodia announces, rising and sloshing her beer a bit. She chuckles and channels some more, nodding and pumping her eyebrows in Calla's direction. "If you fine sirs, and you mistress, might then be excusing me, I think I'll go above and let our friends inside, so as they might be assistin' me in ridding this holy place of these gods-damned bastards!" Asmodia snarls.

Asmodia renews the Light, casting it on her holy symbol, and after kicking a dead bastard, hurries upstairs to inform the larger party of their victory and her desire to begin cleansing the temple.

Half-Elf (Chelaxian) Female HP 109, AC 26/18/21, F +13*, R +11*, W +15*, Init +8, Per +22 Inquisitor 13

Calla smiles slightly as Asmodia kicks one of the bodies. "Finally, liquor lass does something that makes sense..." she says quietly, mostly to herself.

Yep, and all adjusted. Presume once the loot is allocated its time for shopping and a bit of a lull? ie is this mod all over bar the shouting?

Female Human Cleric/4

I wsas unawares we had even left the temple. Except for Asmodia saying she was going to inform the league and get some guys to get the bastards out of it, I assume this is all taking place in the dungeon. I will adjust for level three shortly. Leveling requires a bit more attention to game than I can afford with my mother being poorly.
