Here is our discussion thread. I will be asking you for your info for the chronicles later. Feel free to post any questions or comments here.


dotted and deleted... this is a quest with pregens or with our own characters? if pregens, where can we see a list of available characters?


I will be traveling from Saturday morning until Weds. night (driving up north to see the eclipse). I will try to check in at least once a day, but if I miss a post time, please feel free to bot me to keep the flow going. I don't want to hold up the game.

The adventure states you can use pregens or your own characters. Since we're all learning the rules together, pregens may not be a bad idea, but that's up to each of you to decide.

We start in a few days, so it's probably time to start talking about what characters you guys are planning to bring.

I can certainly go with a pregen, since I'd like to apply credit to my -702 which still hasn't been built. I'm open to any of the options, so I can go with any role.
But I'd like to try the operative if it's not anyone's first pick.


I'm currently attempting to create a character, but some of the rules are still confusing me a bit. I think I've got about 50% of a character set up, though? c: But if she's not ready in time, I'll happily play a pre-gen. ^o^

For now, I'll play Iseph, the pregen android operative, if that's okay.


I am almost done with a rat pilot (operative, it looks like). Could also go the mechanic route, or an envoy.

I hadn't looked at the pregens - does one eliminate the need for the other? I would have thought operative was a pretty broad class from the looks of it.

I have no problem changing into the Pregen for an unused class if you guys don't want to have repeat classes. But from what I could see Sarangari and Obozaya are soldiers with different focus.

They definitely do look to have different foci. I personally don't mind two soldiers.

Two soldiers is not a bad overlap, especially since no one is doing a highly related class, like solarian.

In terms of pacing, we have 6 weeks to cover 5 quests, but I expect the starship battle quests to take extra time, so I'm aiming for one quest a week. To make this happen, I really need you guys to post every day.

Please make sure that you have read over my botting policy in my profile.

Yeah, I really hope they give us Starfinder avatars soon. It's on someone's todo list, we've been told.

We're getting started, guys; please make sure you read over the botting policy in my profile to know what to expect.

None of us are completely comfortable with the rules yet, so we will be learning together. Please let me know if you see me making any rules errors, and we will talk things through.

I'm glad to hear that at least one character has a high number in piloting. I tried an in person game last night where the highest piloting was +2, and it took forever and was truly ugly.

I know it's a crazy weekend for lots of people, so we can wait a bit longer to hear from everyone else about their ship roles.

I think with Miya's rather, er... suboptimal skills... She might be best as a passenger, orz. She'll fill whatever role she's given to the best of her ability, but if all roles are filled, she'll, um. Try not to get in the way?

Looking at the starship rules and as an envoy with lots of charisma skills Elektra makes sense for the captain role...even if it might be weird having someone like her being "the captain" of the ship...

Here's my suggestion based on what everyone has posted:

It's not the only possible permutation, but it seems to make the best use of everyone's skills, while prioritizing pilot and gunners which are most critical to be solid.

I'll wait a day or so to see if anyone would suggest a different arrangement before we start.
