Drizzle searches the ruined dining room. In the sideboard he finds 32 pieces of fine silverware, 8 china place settings, 2 vials or a familiar liquid (potions of Cure Light Wounds), and a large bottle of fine brandy that appears to be about a century old.

Red Petes |
Red gets to his feet and rubs his temples. He stares at his brother for a moment after Blue finishes spouting gibberish.
'Right, he got dumber... somehow.' Red moves to the remaining closed door and examines it for traps.

Red explores the next room (9) and finds the kitchen.
A diverse assortment of cooking utensils hangs from pegs lining the walls here. In the center of the room is a knife-scarred wooden table. A wide, shallow fireplace fitted with cooking hooks of varying lengths occupying most of the east wall. Atop the table is a jar labeled “cookies.”
In an elongated glass box attached to the wall near the door to the dining room and bearing the label “In case of fire, break glass” is a wand of some type.
There are 2 additional doors to this room, one connecting to the adjoining dining room (south wall) and one on the north wall. Neither appear locked.

Blue gets a forlorn look in his eyes as he watches his brother leave the room, like an dog who's owner is leaving to the store.

Red doesn't find anything of interest in the fireplace.
Drizzle opens the glass case and finds a tiny tag attached to the wand with the word "smotherbegone" written on it.

Blue continues to babble.
Red opens the north door and peers inside.
This appears to be the pantry. Shelves laden with foodstuffs line the walls, and bulging canvas sacks sit heaped in the corners. Some of the food has been expertly preserved in jars, but most of it is rotten or rotting, and the room smells accordingly.
Many of the jars, crates and sacks bear the logo “Gnome Farms.”
Red Petes |
Red covers his nose and mouth and quickly slams the door closed. 'You can have everything in the pantry Blue, my gift to you.' Red tells his brother over Blue's incoherent stream of sound as he walks past. The more lithe Petes brother cautiously makes his way up the stairs, hoping they don't open beneath him or turn into grasping undead.

'Segeyo usamoni gose tuyun pune usito.' Blue says forlornly to Robious.
When Red re-entters the room the babbling picks up in speed and excitement, reaching a fever pitch hearing his brother's generosity.

Blue babbles on at his discovery.
Meanwhile, Red climbs the stairs into a large alcove (17 on second floor map). He sees an ebony statue of a man with a plaque that reads, "The Spy."
He could swear the statue's eyes are following him.
Facing south, a large open area opens to the great hall below, and he now sees the massive dragon skeleton up close, suspended by thick metal wires from the ceiling. A catwalk surrounds the great hall area leading to additional rooms.
