The ratfolk look at Aleda, and then looks around, and without a second thought, stabs at her.

Striking from the shadows, Alder slashes with his daggers at the closest ratman.
Aleda, though surprised by the stab dances gracefully out of the way and draws her sword in a single fluid motion. With a flourish, she slashes the ratman and sends blood flying in an arc that might have been beautiful if not so gruesome.
"Someone recently told me people don't like it when you draw weapons in town." mocks Kali as she whirls her scythe off of her back and wades into combat.

Can I see them? How far am I from them? I'm assuming we are in an alleyway no more than 10 ft. wide, correct? In which case the fact that Aleda and Alder are already in melee with the Ratfolk, soon to be followed by Kali (who goes after me) means there probably isn't room for Jonas to Charge (or even engage in melee without moving far enough to provoke)
For lack of a better option (or clearer description): Jonas will draw his Greatsword as a Free Action (Quickdraw), and interpose himself between Shellin and the Ratfolk as a Move Action. Then Jonas will ready his Standard Action to attack the first Ratfolk to come within reach.
Finally noticing that his erstwhile 'allies' were already in combat with the Ratfolk, Jonas draws his greatsword with surprising swiftness and darts forward. Recalling the Dungeon Tactics 101 lecture he attended long ago, Jonas interposes himself between the Ratfolk and Shellin. "In combat a rogue should be behind the frontline, protecting their casters from whatever slips through..." He recalls, as he readies himself to strike down the first rat to break through the front line.
