The youth watches as Arturo attempts to insert the various stones into the ornate door, and casually steps in front of Einhardt, guarding her as the last gem slides into place. His face scrunches in anticipation of yet another negative reaction from the door.

After Arturo places the last stone, the door shudders a moment, and then opens!
A long hallway slopes down to a room housing a pool of glowing blue water. Shining gold leaf in exotic designs decorates the walls, ceiling, and pillars. A stone archway to the south leads downstairs.
This pool radiated powerful divination magic, and (you magically know) it is called The Pool of Seeing. As you look into the pool, you see glimpses of your futures, specifically your future in the dungeons under Thornkeep. You realize that some of these vision might be true, and some, not so much. (this ties into a pair of boons on your chronicles, which give you bonuses while adventuring in Thornkeep!)
As Poochie glances down the stairs, he sees Merian, hands on her hips, shaking her head. He decides that perhaps going down the stairs is a job best left to another day, and perhaps only after they've reported back to Venture-Captain Istivil Bosk in Daggermark.
This completes The Accursed Halls. Feel free to RP out what you are doing in the thorp before you leave, and your mission report to Bosk. We'll start the next level (with a briefing) on Monday, Jan 26, unless there are objections.

The brute nods at the future he sees in the waters, as if he expected no less. Still feeling a bit down from earlier, he is eager to get back to the surface world and relax a bit. He eagerly leads the others out of the Accursed Halls once they have stated their intent to leave.

Jaender smiles at the irony of the shadowy half truths in the water before him.

Jaender shuffles his little feet along as the group makes their way back to Daggermark to report, excited to head back already and see what these new depths have to offer.
