Fuzzfoot: You do not see any Aspis badges on them, but you know that this is an Aspis warehouse.
Ash moves out of the building, hearing growls on the south side he decides to go north while Nemesis attacks a guard, hitting him. Oleander
fires two arrows that both miss.
The guards line up behind their companion, loading crossbows.
Fuzzfoot sees the animal handler with his hyena coming through the doors! The handler unleashes the hyena and it attacks Fuzzfoot! Luckily for the halfling the beast is distracted by the fire and misses.

-Quinray- |
Continuing his performance, Quinray then turns to the boxes and some of the guards and makes the sound of his performance turn into a shower of razor sharp, crystalline shards. Quinray uses chord of shards, to deal 2d6 ⇒ (5, 2) = 7 damage unless the guards that are caught in the 15 ft cone make a Reflex Save DC 15.
Van Potter |
Van dimensional slides out of the building and 10 feet behind the animal trainer and his hyena. The arcanist then casts Color Spray on the both of them.
Spent 1 Arcane Reservoir point to Dimensional Slide to 10 feet west of the animal trainer. Color Spray DC 14 Will.
GMG |
@Quinray, how do you want to place your 15ft arc? I think you can only hit one guard if you want to exclude Branson and Nemesis.
@Van, I put you somewhere that you could see from inside and allows for hitting both enemies with your Color Spray, please relocate if you wanted to be somewhere else.
Will Save Grey: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Will Save Hyena: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
Branson hits his opponent and Van is suddenly outside of the building, spraying the hyena and it's handler with color. The hyena goes belly up while the handler drops his greataxe

That is fine. Mostly trying to cause a little mayhem and destroy some boxes as well as hurt one thug...unless I can take a step forward onto the boxes so I can harm one more. I placed a triangle on the map so you can see how I am trying to aim.
Fuzzfoot Hogan |
"I'm the mad bomber what bombs at midnight!"
Fuzzfoot, seeing a hyena that he has fewer qualms about damaging, tosses a bomb at it.

Reflex Save Purple: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Reflex Save Grey: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Quinray's spell pierces the eyes of the guard that Branson hit earlier, knocking the man down. Fuzzfoot then lobs a bomb at the hyena, wounding it. The splash does not seem to hurt the handler as much as it could.

Nemesis Melek |
Nemesis holds her unholy symbol high, and her enemies find their very flesh beginning to smolder away.
I channel negative energy, excluding Quinray, Branson, Oleander, and Fuzzfoot. A DC 16 Will save halves the damage.
negative energy damage: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6
Oleander Anwamanë |
Hmm, just noticed the hyena is unconscious so redoing attack, this time against grey
attack: 1d20 + 8 + 2 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 8 + 2 - 4 + 1 = 8 < favoured enemy, NL,
But misses badly.
GMG |
Ash moves along the side of the building and opens the door. Now all the doors are open. Oleander dramatically misses her attack against the hyena handler, even though he seems blinded. Nemesis then channels the wrath of Ymeri, causing searing flames to erupt from all guards.

Even though the fire in the warehouse is spreading the guards continue their attack. The frontmost guard drops his crossbow, draws his scimitar and steps closer. He attacks Nemesis with a mighty slash, luckily the pathfinder can duck away in time to limit the damage to a minor wound.

The other guards fire their crossbows at Quinray and despite the cover from the crates and boxes manage to hit him once. They then reload their crossbows.

Nemesis Melek |
Nemesis's golden eyes begin to glimmer balefully as she presses her supernatural assault.
Same as before: I channel negative energy, excluding Quinray, Branson, Oleander, and Fuzzfoot. A DC 16 Will save halves the damage. I take a 5-foot step back afterwards.
negative energy damage: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 6) = 10

I did forget the second round of fire damage on Red last round.
Fire Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Fuzzfoot throws another alchemist's fire on the crates that aren't burning yet, between red and yellow (I put a fire icon on the map).
Ranged Touch Attack vs Square: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Splash damage to red and yellow possible, plus additional crates.
Damage: 4 = 4
"OK, gang! We might want to think about getting out now..."
Van Potter |
Van moves south 20 feet, draws his Magic Missile wand, and fires an arcane bolt at the animal trainer.
Magic Missile damage to trainer: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
27 charges remaining on Wand.
Branson Davelock |
Did Red drink a potion this round? If he was right next to me when doing so, that should have provoked an AOO from me. Also, did you apply his bleed damage from my fist attack?
GMG |
Branson: no, that was a reminder for me that he drank potion on round 1, so that I knew to adjust his stats
The party quickly handles the guards and their accompanying hyena. After a few more seconds the warehouse is blazing and the Pathfinders are on their way to the next location.
Calling battle, assuming you quickly disperse from the area of the warehouse
Oleander Anwamanë |
"Lets head off to our address.
Says Orophin, who takes pity on the unconscious guards and drags them clear of the fire. She doesn't take quite so much pity as to not check their pockets first though.
GMG |
You find
3 potions of shield of faith
4 oils of magic weapon
1 cure moderate wounds
1 enlarge person (CL 3)
1 bulls strenght
Branson Davelock |
Branson grabs an oil of magic weapon.
So that we're on the same sheet of music, the oil will work on his fists right?
"You know, I may have resistance to many forms of energy, but fire isn't one of them, so can we keep the pyromania to a minimum? Is anyone injured?"
Fuzzfoot Hogan |
"OK, we've done our act of sabotage, so let's get back on track with finding the amulet. 342 Free Trade Square I think we said?"
Fuzzfoot will take a potion of shield of faith.
And, of course, anything not claimed will go into his pack as well. No point in leaving anything behind.
Ash Crane |
Yes, one thing to set fire to a building, another to let guards, even those working for Aspis, get burnt alive
I would also like of the SoF potions, too!
"We still must get the word on the street about the feelings for the Consortium; perhaps we can find our ally if we can find there are enough anti-Aspis folk to choose one, too."
Ash then hands out a wand to little Van. "Would you use this on me, yes?"
Mage armoring!
Nemesis Melek |
So that we're on the same sheet of music, the oil will work on his fists right?
I'm afraid it won't - you want a potion of magic fang for that.
I take both a potion of shield of faith and an oil of magic weapon.
"One of them got me," replies Nemesis to Branson's question. "but I can tend my own hearth."
wand of cure light wounds on self: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Van Potter |
All this fire reminds me of Cousin Piro. Shame we had to put him down.
"Yeah, no problem." Van replies to the Tengu, casting Mage Armor on him from the wand, "Let's split before more Aspis shows up and head to that address. The quicker we can get this job done, the better."
Oleander Anwamanë |
Oleander grabs a shielding potion and the curing one.
"The day is yet young. We could stop off in a pub near the address and observe the place while we get a feel for how folk react to the consortiums misfortune."
Oleander Anwamanë |
Yeap, lets find out from friends first, to avoid putting a wrong foot. The warehouse was taking an opportunity that was presented.
GMG |
I am back! Thanks for waiting.
While moving to free trade square you notice there is talk on the streets that the Aspis are looking for some people who burned down their warehouse at the docks.
Free Trade Square is the busiest part of Bloodcove. The streets swarm with merchants and wagons buying, selling, and transporting food, spices, and antiquities. Lot number 342 sits on the southeastern edge of the market, bordering the fringes of Warehouse Row. A run-down-looking stall dealing in lamps and oil occupies the space, though the poor quality of the lamps may be an indicator of why no customers are anywhere near the stall. The owner, a thoroughly bored middle aged Mwangi man, sits behind the counter making fishing lures.
Oleander Anwamanë |
Oleander approaches the man, looking skeptically at him.
After looking at the various lamps she suggests in Taldane
"I'm looking for a lamp to help me Find a Path."
GMG |
Bluff to pass secret message: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
"Any lamb will do the job" the man grumbles while he continues making his fishing lures
Van Potter |
"Ya know, we need a good one to illuminate the road." Van tries next to pass on the secret message, and although he looks amused, he does a terrible job at it.
Bluff to pass secret message: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
GMG |
"Then pick one, I do not want to know what you gnomes do in those 'dark rooms'" the man smirks. "And if that was a pick up line: I am not interested"
Oleander Anwamanë |
Was that first bluff, for Oleander? If not, well, She'll try again.
"I need to Find a Path, and I thought your Lamps would be helpful."
bluff to pass message: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12 <- favored enemy bonus!
Someone want to aid another here?
Fuzzfoot Hogan |
Fuzzfoot uses some inspiration to tru and get the message accross.
"I think what she is trying to say is, if you were to help her pick the right lamp, the path she could find would be of a great, if not quite so obvious, benefit."
Bluff: 1d20 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (16) + 1 + (1) = 18
Nemesis Melek |
"Not all flames burn with the same light. One such as I will accept only a singular specimen, one truly fitting for the path I follow."
