Flyndal Danwrick wrote:
"Hrmph. Prayers for gobbers? Don't tell me those useless buggers get an afterlife!"

I'm sure some of you are already aware: There are four goblin deities! Five, if you include Lamashtu.

Goblin Hero-Gods:
The four gods now referred to as the Goblin Hero-Gods were initially minor Barghest deities in the service of Asmodeus. The four found that when they killed mortal creatures the spilled blood turned into Goblins. They swiftly secured the loyalty of their new creations.

Lamashtu created a realm in the Abyss and gifted it to the four gods. In return, they made sure the goblins worshipped Lamashtu.

Today, most goblins revere Lamashtu above all others, and recognize the four hero gods as equal secondary deities. However, a few tribes have favorites amongst the hero gods, and some even revere one or more of them ahead of Lamashtu.

Their names are Hadregash, Venkelvore, Zarongel, and Zogmugot.

Hadregash, the strongest of his kind, helped organize the goblins into the first tribes.

Obese Venkelvore is the consort of Hadregash, and the only female goblin deity among the group. Despite her obsessive desire for feeding, she is considered the most attractive demigod among the goblinoids.

Zarongel appears to be the most wolf-like of the four and has hair composed of magical fire. He is believed to be the origin of the goblins use of goblin dogs as pets and mounts.

It is said that Zogmugot looks out of every piece of beach glass with his baleful, colorful eyes, and can see what those who come down to the beach are up to and if he isn't happy, he'll trick them out into the riptide by having a nice bit of something shiny floating on the waves lure you out. He's the one that chooses if a goblin who falls into the sea drowns or washes back up on shore. It is also believed that worshipers are rewarded for their piety with prime pieces of trash which wash up on their beach.

Cëanel 'borrows' a torch from Desh, ready to light it when they re-enter. "I...had assumed it would be a translucent crystal spire," he says, sheepishly, but still full of elven pride and petulance.

He knots his brows together in thought. "So. We know the place is shrouded in magical darkness, thus preventing any attacks at range on our part...except for Desh. Desh, do you have a bow, perhaps? Ah, only javelins. Pity. You may borrow my bow if you wish. I can summon another darkvision-enabled creature, but that will be it for the day, I fear, and my only scroll of that nature. I may be able to aim a greasing spell in the dark, but I am not sure, and we will have to be careful of it as well. Our close combat is hampered by the rubble on the floor." He heaves a sigh, shaking his raven locks.

"Naturally, there may be more goblins, or other creatures attracted by the sound of battle. Nevertheless, we are Pathfinders, sworn to duty, so my meager suggestions are that each person carry a light save Desh, and Desh both leads and fires arrows, and we crawl along until we find a safe place to hole up in this dark green hellhole. Does anyone else have augmenting, or superseding, ideas?"

Sorry for the quiet on my part … i’m at a conference. Thought I’d have internet, but it’s ridiculously slow. I’ll check in as I can, but it’s unlikely to be much, and then we’re into the weekend … where again my ability to check the boards is limited (ya know, cause I get to be with my wife and kiddos).

Desh puts a hand on Kohinoor when he sees the woman about to expend more of her divine energies, and he fishes out a healing wand. ”Reserve your strength for combat when you can. Use these when we’re able.”

The Channel brings Desh up to 9 hp, so I’ll roll the remaining healing off my Wand of CLW, assuming Kohinoor is willing to help Desh out. :)
Wand of CLW, x1 charge: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6; back to full HP.

Desh ignores the back-and-forth about souls, it doesn’t seem to be something he’s considered much. When the preiestess is finished praying for the tiny monsters, he picks up their bodies a few at a time, carries them unceremoniously out the front entrance and throws them down the cliff-face.

If anyone looks askance at him, he shrugs, ”We don’t know what kinds of scavengers or threats the bodies might attract.”

He nods at Cëanel’s suggestions, helping the crew redistribute his own torches so that they might have ready access to them, then mutely helps them get the torches all alight.

Then he begins inspecting rooms and structures around them, sniffing floors, looking for animal tracks, poking at walls and oddities, and generally trying to glean any available information.

Just looking for any clues about what we may be facing. In the room in which we’ve fought as well as in A.3.

Revealing more of the map.

A2: The footpath climbs up to a jagged hole in the side of the green glass tower. The light outside the tower does not penetrate into the building more than a few feet. Beyond that, it’s pitch black.

A3: Piles of rags and bones are piled up into nest-like beds around this circular room. A door to the northeast leads to other rooms.

A4: This large foyer seems to have been the main tower entrance, but the grand doorway leading outside is now a broken mass of glass rubble. Crumbling archways lead to the north and south.

A6: From this curving room, doors lead east and west, and a passage leads south. A small table with four rickety chairs sits in the middle of the room. A pair of dice lies on the table amid cups and plates.

Taking 10 on perception, Desh notices a goblin hiding in the shadows.
