Also you have a Gallows of Madness table on your sign-up sheet as well, is that game happening? I'm signing up on it just in case.

This is starting on the 9th, but I'll be opening the Gameplay and Discussion today. I found starting games on a Friday to result in nobody posting until Monday.

The Gallows game is full (had a special application/recruitment thread).

I am interested in playing but have never done a PFS campaign. Do I need to register character first? Where?

With apologies to Isin, I'm going to take the first 3 characters ready to go: Melnop, Yelek Hssar, Sho Mikazuki, and Kyunjiro.

While new players are always welcome at my games, when I'm trying to fill unexpectedly empty seats, I'll always take 'Ready-to-Go' over simply expressed interest.

To answer your questions about PFS, you register a character through the Paizo.com account page. Down a bit and on your left (at least on my widescreen monitor) is the Pathfinder Society section. There you can register a new character. You might have to click register a new number first. Either way, click Download Your PFS ID Card to get your PFS Number (that's how your characters get credit tracked).

Then go to the Pathfinder Society page here and download the free Roleplaying Guide. That will tell you how to build a PFS legal character.

You can create anything using the Core Rulebook (as modified by the Additional Resources and Campaign Clarification documents, found on the PFS main page). Everything else, you need to own the reference PDF or physical book.

@GM Blake: I completely understand and thank you for the detailed response. I will get a PFS character built and hopefully be able to join a game in the future.
