Draw From the Deck:
Draw from the Deck: You have recovered a psychically charged harrow deck, commonly used for telling fortunes. You can expend its remaining energy to draw a card at random as a standard action, and you gain a +2 enhancement bonus to the ability score that matches the suit of the card drawn until the end of the adventure. If you do not have a harrow deck available, instead roll 1d6 to determine the suit (1 is Strength, 2 is Dexterity, 3 is Constitution, 4 is Intelligence, 5 is Wisdom, and 6 is Charisma). While the actual card you pick has no mechanical effect, you can roll a D9 (with physical dice, you'd roll a D10, rerolling 0) to fully simulate the draw for flavor purposes.

Oloch will cast guidance on himself and Crowe and shield of faith and then use warmind on himself before entering the cave

So 7 rounds left for the guidance of Crowe,8 rounds left for the guidance on me and 9 for the shield of faith and 10 for the warmind

Erasmus simply follows the others inside, having no other preparations to make.

Silver Crusade

Green luminescence shines from fungi on the walls of this cave, while the winds outside create an animal-like howl as they whip past the entrance. A narrow path runs along the northern edge, and a deep chasm slick with moisture splits it from another ledge to its south. To the east is a bridge, fuzzy with dark green mold.

The entire cave is dimly lit. The cave itself is cool, and the air is still. The chasm between the west walkway and eastern ledge is twenty feet deep. At the bottom are bones, weapons, and various other pieces of equipment.

Inside, a horrific creature waits. A swollen, brainlike bulb encrusted with fungal shelves squats atop several ropy legs. A wide mouth bisects the bulb’s crown.

An unnatural voice echoes in your mind.

How do rainbows swim?

As soon as you're in the room, please make two will saves. Knowledge (Nature) ID's the creature.

DC 14 Will Save #1 (Mind-affecting, Divination):
You feel the creature accessing your thoughts. Images of scenes from your life seem to manifest on its body, flashing for brief seconds.

DC 14 Will Save #2 (Mind affecting, Fear):
The flashing images on the creature's body are deeply unsettling. You have a -2 on attack rolls vs. the target.

Spoiler:

Hakon: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Crowe: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Erasmus: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Kyra: 1d20 ⇒ 1
Oloch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Rivani: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
C: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

Effectively, it's party->them. You can act in whatever order you desire. Dr. Q will act after the party but before bad guy. It seems we've lost Rivani, but if she does come back, we'll consider her in permanent delay.

Will save 1: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Will save 2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

And since she got a 1 on init, I think I'll just kick back and see where folks end up before I charge in.

Fumbus | HP 40/56 | AC 22 20 | resist fire 2 | Fort +11, Ref +13, Will +7 | Infused reagents remaining: 0 | Hero Points: 1/2

Ugh.

Male Human Skald 1 | hp 9/11 | AC 15, T 11, FF 13 | Fort +3 (+4 while performing), Ref +2, Will +2 | Init +2, Perception. +3 | Active conditions: +2 Str/Con rage song, +1 Will rage song, -1 AC rage song , +2 STR from harrow, -1 str Poison

Will: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

This monster, this horror is nearly to much for Hakon. readying all he has he blows his horn starting a song and leading the charge.

Inspired Rage:

"Hakon can give all allies who accept it a +2 morale bonus to Strength and Constitution, a +1 morale bonus to Will saves, and a –1 penalty to AC. Allies can accept the bonuses and penalties on a round by round basis, but while accepting the song, they can’t cast spells, use abilities requiring concentration, or use Intelligence-based skills, Dexterity-based skills (except Acrobatics, Fly, and Ride), or Charisma-based skills (except Intimidate). Once this song is active, he doesn’t need to spend any action to maintain it but can end it at any time. He can use this ability for 11 total rounds each day, which need not be consecutive. Allies who have their own rage or bloodrage can use their own bonuses and penalties if they choose, but they can’t use any of their other abilities like rage powers or blood casting."
If accepted:
+2 Strength
+2 Constitution
+1 Will Saves
-1 AC
Can't cast, concentrate, or do most non-combat skill checks.

Oloch accepts the raging song which makes his blood boil as he double moves into the room

"Smash brains!"

Just to check, the ridge we are on and the platform the creature is on are the same height? so we could jump across if we wanted too (and didn't have armor check penalties and stuff)?

Male Male human air elemental bloodrager 1 hp 13/13 AC 17, touch 11, flat-footed 16 (+6 armor, +1 Dex) Fort +4, Ref +1, Will +0 Init +1; Senses Perception +4; Active Conditions: Poisoned (-2 STR dmg, Blessed +1 Attack)

Will: 1d20 + 0 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 0 + 1 = 20

Looks like that ointment really helps!

Crowe strides in, accepting the song, keeping up with Oloch (double move). He carries his earthbreaker ready to smash someone.

Let's dance, Seymour.

”Kyra” | Female NG Medium (Keleshite) Human Cleric of Sarenrae 4 | HP 35/35 | AC 17, T 10, FF 17 | CMD 15| F +6 R +3 W +9 | Init +0 | Perc +4 | Speed 30ft | Channel positive energy 5/5 (DC16), Rebuke death 7/7 | Active Conditions: None.

Kyra moves and casts shield of faith.

As she missed the first ST, what are the effects, or can I tell?

"Well, that was interesting! Have you ever seen a rainbow, brain thing?"

Silver Crusade

It's detect thoughts, which is why your images start showing up.

When Crowe advances, a tendril lashes out from the plant towards him.

AOO: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

Dr. Q moves into the room nervously, drawing a crossbow.

The creature unleashes a hideous otherworldly shriek. It proves unsettling, leaving two of your number retching. [ooc]If you have a product that grants you a reroll, I'd encourage you to use it now.[/o[[c

Kyra Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Crowe double moves again to get over the bridge, but stops a little short to try to avoid some AoOs.

Next round, hope to be choppin' broccoli.

Oloch waits to see if anyone is going to throw ranged weapons at the creature before double timeing it after Crowe

Is the bridge difficult terrain or can you cross it normally? If it doesn't count as difficult terrain Oloch will end his movement SE adjacent to the creature

Delaying till after the others have done their things, then moving. Preventing them from having a -4 for shooting into melee in case it comes up

Male Human Skald 1 | hp 9/11 | AC 15, T 11, FF 13 | Fort +3 (+4 while performing), Ref +2, Will +2 | Init +2, Perception. +3 | Active conditions: +2 Str/Con rage song, +1 Will rage song, -1 AC rage song , +2 STR from harrow, -1 str Poison

After looking it up and finding most agree that you can't take free actions while nauseated; I guess I have to use Saving Finale.

will: 1d20 + 2 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 - 2 + 2 = 14
Don't know what the 2nd +2 is. But it was in your roll.

Hakon moves pass Oloch.

If he is able to shake off the Nauseated condition:
He starts back up his song.

”Kyra” | Female NG Medium (Keleshite) Human Cleric of Sarenrae 4 | HP 35/35 | AC 17, T 10, FF 17 | CMD 15| F +6 R +3 W +9 | Init +0 | Perc +4 | Speed 30ft | Channel positive energy 5/5 (DC16), Rebuke death 7/7 | Active Conditions: None.

Realizing that there is not going to be any room over there, Kyra will sheath her scimitar and draw her sling. And that's all she gets to do.

Fumbus | HP 40/56 | AC 22 20 | resist fire 2 | Fort +11, Ref +13, Will +7 | Infused reagents remaining: 0 | Hero Points: 1/2

Using my shirt re-roll on that save.

Mavaro will, 2-star GM: 1d20 + 2 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 - 2 + 2 = 14

Silver Crusade

No penalty for crossing the bridge. Mavaro and Hakon are both fine.

Another tendril swings at the bloodrager.
AOO: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

Hakon heads across the bridge and rushes pass Oloch to stand bellow the beast plant thing. Draws AOO.

Kyra will do her best to plant a sling stone in the beast

To hit: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (13) + 0 = 13

"Obviously this thing does not want to talk."

Having an idea, Kyra then sends some thoughts its way...

Instead of trying to fry our brains, perhaps you would prefer we try and find a way to get you back home? If you would prefer us to help instead, cease this antagonistic behavior and raise all you appendages in the air.

Silver Crusade

It croaks, "What a tremendous fuchsia light it makes!

It slaps Hakon with a tendril.

Mavaro and Crowe are up.

Fumbus | HP 40/56 | AC 22 20 | resist fire 2 | Fort +11, Ref +13, Will +7 | Infused reagents remaining: 0 | Hero Points: 1/2

Mavaro double-moves toward the bridge in a roundabout way.

Silver Crusade

Crowe steps up, swinging mightily with his earthbreaker. There is a loud squishing sound as the hammer falls, then it unleashes its full might on him, though really does little more than wiggle its tendrils at him, though its wounds knit together a bit.
