Hello all and welcome to my Outpost I Table of Assault On The Kingdom Of The Impossible. This will be a Tier 1-2 Playthrough in Classic (regular) mode.

Following in the great footsteps of HMM our VC for Online PbP I want to get to know you and your character while also letting you know some of my expectations as well.

About me
The names Gary Pepper and I wanted to let you know a little about myself, I am an avid gamer, father of two and love to “learn it all”. I am still relatively new to the PbP GM gig but I feel with each game my style grows stronger. I’m the Venture Agent for my local area. Covering two stores and a contact for other home games in my area, which as you can guess means that I have to handle VA things as they arise. If I’m stuck in something I will let you know. :)

Some Expectations
I prefer games to flow at about 1 to 2 posts a day during the week and 1 to 2 over the weekend. I understand work, life, school and Venture Officer duties come up from time to time and like me posting while at work is a no-no. If that is the case for you if you could please try and check in before and after work if possible that would be great. We can find the right pacing as we go along.

I tend to post around 8 AM PST/PDT Mon-Fri and again at Noon PST/PDT. The weekends are wild for me so I get maybe a chance to post once or twice at random times.

Please let me know about any absences or crazy work days expected. If you're headed to a Con for a few days, that's okay, just let me know. I'll tell you about my crazy days too, for example Tuesdays are very busy between work and Society night so I may not post until way way late or possible the next morning.

Speaking of Cons I will be running a Con the last weekend of April. Not that I foresee us taking that long to finish this but thought I would still let you know.

I'm hoping that botting won't be needed, but I ask that everyone try to have a 'bot me' spoiler in their profile with key strategies and pre-formatted dice rolls. Happy GMs are safe GMs :p

I'm hopeful we will all have fun. I want enthusiasm, silliness, sound effects, team chemistry... If you want that too, I think we'll have a great game together that you can laugh about later in the future.

Do not think it’s crazy to have someone throw the halfling at the enemy hovering 20 feet in the air.

I like you :), Asking for success and we haven't even started yet. I too am looking forward to the fun that these older Scenarios allow. Also I will definitely try my best to knock a few chips of his shoulder.

If you were incorporeal would you be GM Ghost Pepper?

Urban Bloodrager says it replaces KNO Nature for KNO Local, but Bloodrager's class skills include KNO Arcana, not KNO Nature, does anyone know of a correction for this?

I checked and looks like indeed for the Urban Bloodrager, Know Arcana and Know Local are correct and Know Nature is removed. There have been no changes (corrections).

No problem. Assuming that Golthwur spends the night undisturbed, as you may have guessed, he has some demands of words for the party in the morning before they set off with the caravan.

I don't want to presume the other party member's actions before then, though, so I will hold off posting until you move to the caravan, everyone says they are leaving Golthwur alone, or someone posts that they are or plan to disturb Golthwur.

If you use the run (x4) outside of combat, you do not have to run in a straight line, and you don't lose your dex bonus to Ac the next round?

A special Request
Hello all, this is going to sound odd but stick with me if you will. My son is doing a project for his school called Flat Stanley's Travels and I was wondering if any of you in our amazing community wouldn't mind helping out for a few minutes this weekend.

If you would like to help out:

If you do not know about Flat Stanley it is a story written by Jack Brown and Sara Pennypacker. It is a humorous tale of a boy who becomes "flat" when his bulletin board falls on him. Stanley realizes there are some advantages to being flat, such as the ability to slide under doors, between bars, and even scanned and mailed across the world to friends and family.

How can you help?
If you wouldn't mind takeing a few minutes this weekend and on your travels take a picture of Stanley with a landmark, visiting another city, experiencing what all the world has, or anything else you can think of.

This is a great opportunity for my son and his whole school to not only learn about different places but also to learn about different cultures too.

The school is tracking where Stanley has traveled on a giant world map and will be posting up all the pictures for the students and staff to see.

If you would like to help please download Flat Stanley, take a picture, and send it to me with a little note of where he was.

All photos are needed by tomorrow night (about 38 hours from this post time)

WhAT is the best way tech-wise to go aboot dis? Download the flat dude on a laptop, take the pic on a smart phone, upload the pic to the laptop, and i guess photoshop...what is the simplest way...

If you have a printer you could print out Stanley. If you have a second phone/Tablet you could download Stanley to the second device hold it up/prop it up with Stanley on the screen and take a picture with the first. Similar to this.

@ All - Thanks for a great game! I had a lot of fun. I appreciate you all letting Golthwur be Golthwur and putting up with him. Even better that--at least in his mind--other than that business with trying to win over the sorceress (which he will likely never admit again unless cow-towed by Mei), everything went essentially as he had planned! Imagine how pompous and arrogant he will now when he next embarks on a mission!

@ GM Poblano Pepper- Thanks for running the game. I am learning how much work being a PbP GM can be (and how rewarding). I really appreciate your embracing of creative solutions, particularly the result of the "staged -fight-that-never-became-a-staged-fight". It brought a big smile to my face when I saw how it all played out (and, as Golthwur would note, it happened "Without all of that unpleasant physical contact and fighting nonsense.")

Golthwur completed one faction goal and will be making some purchases, so he can safely engage in one of his favorite pass times, adding spells to his book!

Good game all. Little bit worried when we didn't have a healer. But we avoided two fights, which helped out a lot.

Update:
My convention I have been organizing/preparing to run, Konocti-Con, starts tonight and will continue through to Sunday late evening.

I will most likely not be able to Answer any questions until Monday 4/30. I may try but no promises ^.^

I will also be closing this thread out on Monday as well. It has been fun and I look forward to more games in the future with all of you.
