Welcome back Nedyr. I hope things are getting better for you then. The list I posted earlier have many good applicants to choose from. So maybe we'll get around to choosing a couple players soon.

Also, has anyone heard from Alexander? I hope things are going okay for him. If he doesn't return, we might have to choose another player. But I rather not if possible.

Well, with what we have already for characters that applied already, we can choose three of them then.

For my suggestion, I think the wizard Orrik, the Druid Mahrig, and the bard Millicent duFore. I think that will balance out our group and be able to carry on if we hear nothing from Alex for a while.

Does Nedyr or our GM have any suggestions for players from the recruitment thread?

Hm, I got a feeling flu season hit near where you all live as well? Seems so quiet now a days and I am becoming concerned about this story dying before we can continue. I know that Nedyr is around, as our GM Kenderkin is too. I guess I wish there was a bit more activity here.

Ok. I went and looked over the names and such. These seem pretty good to me as well . If we let Millie in, sounds like she'd be a distant cousin to Nedyr (same noble family trait). Hopefully the player won't mind a relation.

I'm very fond of dwarves so Orrik might be my favorite.
As for Mahdrig? Druids are both handy and a bit worrisome. HOpefully we won't have too much clash with nature vs city growth if we take her in. But that's not the only way to play a druid and I could be having some class bias unfairly here. Normally I prefer clerics for spiritual leaders ;)

There was Thessk, Cleric of JalaiJatali if you like. He's the only cleric that applied. Though so far, we have two set for now.

So Millie and Orrik sound like are two of the chosen. So who is going to be the third?

Lizard Man sort of threw me off though the kobold lizard man interaction could be amusing. On the other hand, I'm not throwing the druid away either as the wilderness talents could save our butts.

I'm happy to defer on the choice of third to our DM. Which one Kenderkin thinks would fit his future plans best etc

I have messaged the player that is going to play Millicent "Millie" duFore. I haven't heard back from them since they replied on Jan 16th. I am beginning to get concerned that they may have lost interest. I hope not.

But I feel we really should choose the third new player and see about getting this PBP restarted. I would hate to see this die so soon, well maybe not so soon after joining.

Hey all! Mahdrig checking in, thanks for the invite!

I'm looking forward to joining the group. I'll look over the gameplay so as to get an idea of who everyone is.

As for Mahdrig, happy to answer any and all questions. Most info is in her profile and I can add to or adjust accordingly to fit into the campaign.

Mahdrig is a druid and sees fire as her "patron." Fire destroys but also cleanses, and is a natural element that is tightly wound into her being alive.

She suffers from terrible nightmares, but is close-lipped when asked about them.

She claims to be a half-elf... but something about her isn't quite half-elveny...

I don't require it, as usually I roll an attack roll and tell who the attack is against. I leave it to the honor system for you to keep up with your hit points and whether or not the attack hit or missed.

In fact I prefer it when the PCs post about the attack and how it did.....

Alright, I have not heard back from the player of our Bardess. So I think we might as we start since we do somewhat have a decent group. So what do you all think? We got a arcane caster, a divine caster, a roguey type and a front liner. So with that, I do think we are ready. Just got to make sure we have the provisions all sorted out before we start our exploration.

Though, going back to the bard. If you do want the player of the bard to be a part of the group, I'll message him to see if he is still interested or not.

Having a bard would be nice, but a diviner and a druid are nice, too! Let's set out and if the bard gets back to us, I'm sure the GM can slide him in at an appropriate locale.

Also, I'm going to defer to Markov and Nedyr for the next port-of-call. I'm not sure what your strategy is for exploration,what you've seen, etc.

I have put in a marching order....let me know any "assumptions" you want to include....such as single file, staggered interval, distance kept apart, etc.....OK with real world terms such as "ranger file" and "rally point" are fine with me....

Night watches can also be staggered by having a fresh person on with one who has been on for awhile....

If you want to arrange hand signals or rally points feel free.....I can note them fairly easily.... Or we can use the standard stuff the Army infantry or rangers use....pace beads and clicks???

Now adding up all the coinage we have from that. Going to get it to a gold standard.
Copper Coins 7,420 = 742 Silver Coins = 74 Gold and 2 Silver.
Silver Coins 2,132 + 321 = 2453 Silver = 245 Gold and 3 Silver
Gold Coins 302 + 249 = 551 Gold
Platinum Coins 13 = 130 Gold

Now adding up gold totals, it comes to...!
1,000 Gold coins and 5 Silver. I was not expecting that amount. Plus anything we sell. I have a feeling we're going to sell the masterwork light metal shield. And I have a feeling that wedding ring belongs to a certain couple that we are staying with.

Does that all look correct? I hope I got it right. >.<

And for the Nightwatch, I'll take what ever you want. Though if Orrik knows the spell Keep Watch, I'll be okay with keeping a look out the whole night. >.>

I think the wedding band might be Swetlana's as well, and Nedyr would agree on returning it. The woman makes great pies


Sorry about being quiet -- very busy week. (Had a talk to give to the rest of the faculty.)

Orrik doesn't know Keep Watch, but he could put that on his list to look for.

He does have Read Magic, so he can figure out the unknown scroll.
