Hey all, sorry I've been incommunicado- lots of changes in my workplace have occupied my time this past week. But I'm back, so let's do this!
Male Witchwolf Cavalier lvl 2 HP 18(18) AC 19, touch 11, flat-footed 18 (+6 armor, +1 Dex, +2 shield) Fort +4, Ref +1, Will +0
Well, I think one purchase should be a wand of cure light wounds. And with the left over gold for camping supplies. What about you all?
F Changeling Druid 2
A cure wand sounds great.
My vote is for a cure wand and a barge- a flat river-craft that can accommodate ourselves and our mounts. A barge is worth a lost wedding ring, especially in these parts?
Male Half Elf Swashbuckler-1/Rogue-1 (HP: 17/17; AC 15, 13tch,12 ff; F+1.R+8, W+0)
DEFINITELY the cure wand.
The barge doesn't sound bad, but would we have the skills needed to navigate it? I don't know if a profession or something would be required.
Usually that would be Profession (Sailor). Which might not be a bad idea for some of us to invest a point or two in if we're going to be living in a place called the "River" Kingdoms :) I don't have it now, though.
(I do have some "Ride", as I came with a horse (named "Triaxus").)
F Changeling Druid 2
Both good points, Orrik and Nedyr- you'd think that as I'm GMing Skull & Shackles Prof(Sailor) would be on my mind!
I thought a barge - or similar boat- would aid us in transporting people, livery, and resources in our travels, as there's a fair amount of waterways.
As far as camp supplies, how are we tracking resources- and does that extend to mounts? If so, food should be a priority, though Survival checks might take care of that. Beyond that, maybe tools like canvas, rope, block and tackle, poles, grappling hooks, tindertwigs/flint & steel, and even a small investment into antitoxins.
Male Witchwolf Cavalier lvl 2 HP 18(18) AC 19, touch 11, flat-footed 18 (+6 armor, +1 Dex, +2 shield) Fort +4, Ref +1, Will +0
Maybe we can do something similar to the other Kingmaker game I am in. The GM tracks how much rations we have left, but we still have to purchase them to add to the total amount we have. There is a little notice at the top of the page with how many rations we have and such.
For other things... Well, Tents might be good buy. And those two antitoxins too. I should already have a flint and steel and some rope. And everyone should have a mount already.
F Changeling Druid 2
When I played in a KM campaign years ago (that fizzled out in book 2) we as a group used Survival checks to gather food and relied on rations if we failed the check.
That made it easier to track resources - and one player was the de facto quartermaster, and I'd agree Markov it's easiest if one person is tracking resources, GM or otherwise.
Male Witchwolf Cavalier lvl 2 HP 18(18) AC 19, touch 11, flat-footed 18 (+6 armor, +1 Dex, +2 shield) Fort +4, Ref +1, Will +0
That reminds me. Once we level up again, I am going to have to put a few more points into survival. Being an order of the dragon cavalier and not being able to hunt for food for everyone... Well, is a disappointment to all order of the dragon cavaliers! >.>
F Changeling Druid 2
I have all sorts of random personal gear EXCEPT rations! I think the antitoxins are a good idea as well as the rations. Tent would be useful if we run into weather.
Will Bokken brew us potions? How will that work?
M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA
Bokken can brew anything up to third level on the adept spell list.
Ordering (anything not in inventory) takes two weeks!!!
Male Witchwolf Cavalier lvl 2 HP 18(18) AC 19, touch 11, flat-footed 18 (+6 armor, +1 Dex, +2 shield) Fort +4, Ref +1, Will +0
I say we place the order, and the rest we get rations if nothing else. Surviving out in the wild is one thing, but being hungry is another.
F Changeling Druid 2
Tent, rations, antitoxins. I can't think of anything to order as of now.

Male Witchwolf Cavalier lvl 2 HP 18(18) AC 19, touch 11, flat-footed 18 (+6 armor, +1 Dex, +2 shield) Fort +4, Ref +1, Will +0
Okay, 2 antitoxin comes to 100 Gold. a tent for each of us costs 10 gold each, so 50 gold. Ordering the wand costs 750 Gold. All that added up we have spent 900 gold so far, leaving us with 100 gold and 5 silver plus items we haven't sold yet.
So selling the shield nets us 79 gold and 5 silver. Bring up our gold to 180 Gold. We still have the seven +1 Flaming crossbow bolts, a scroll that we're waiting on what it is, and some dust of illusion. Does anyone want those items? If not, we can sell them for more funds.
And when we returned the ring, we got free room and board, right?
Also, I haven't done rations yet, but considering... How about spending 20 Gold for 40 rations? We would be able to stay out for 8 days and supplement what we hunt to make it last a bit longer.
Edit: Just noticed the limit on how many rations we are able to buy, so with each ration being 5 silver, we spend 12 gold and 5 silver for all 15?
Male Half Elf Swashbuckler-1/Rogue-1 (HP: 17/17; AC 15, 13tch,12 ff; F+1.R+8, W+0)
I hate book keeeping, so I'm happy to defer to Markov's plan
F Changeling Druid 2
Sounds good. I have a bunch of leftover gold to throw down on supplies, so Markov let me know what we need to settle with Oleg, happy to pitch in.
I think we should keep the flaming bolts. Magic weapons are always useful, and if we collectively lack a crossbow, I'll order one from Oleg.
Sell the Dust of Illusion - curious what is the % rate for selling Oleg gear?
And Yes, buy all the rations.
I believe Orrik said he could ID the scroll, waiting on the GM for the reveal?
Male Witchwolf Cavalier lvl 2 HP 18(18) AC 19, touch 11, flat-footed 18 (+6 armor, +1 Dex, +2 shield) Fort +4, Ref +1, Will +0
GM Kenderkin, I have to ask, do you know what Hexes have been explored already by the previous players? I am feeling we had a few more hexes cleared then that recon map or the hex map shows.
Edit: If we sell the Dust, that is an extra 600 Gold. I don't mind that. >.>
M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA
I will double check it, but Bokken, the spider and the radish patch are all pretty well in that first sweep....
Map check
Somehow you guys stayed right on course....
Male Witchwolf Cavalier lvl 2 HP 18(18) AC 19, touch 11, flat-footed 18 (+6 armor, +1 Dex, +2 shield) Fort +4, Ref +1, Will +0
What about the Kobold lair? I know we went there following Mikmek.
M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA
You guys (at least some of you) do know where the kobolds and mite lairs are,(and the defeated bandit camp) but have not explored & mapped those hexes yet.
Traveling through a hex is much faster than exploring a hex.
Male Witchwolf Cavalier lvl 2 HP 18(18) AC 19, touch 11, flat-footed 18 (+6 armor, +1 Dex, +2 shield) Fort +4, Ref +1, Will +0
Alright then! We can start with the old bandit camp and then work our way to those other locations?
F Changeling Druid 2
Sounds like a good plan. I'd say it's best to map out these locations first, since they've been traveled through already.
Is the camp a good place to maybe set up a supply depot or a safe place for us to work from? Seems like Oleg's will get farther and farther away as we progress...
M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA
Spoiler tagged an important item in the game thread, it does need resolution for the sake of the campaign info tab.
I might have to make an official rule about rations on the first day after eating a hearty breakfast.....
Male Witchwolf Cavalier lvl 2 HP 18(18) AC 19, touch 11, flat-footed 18 (+6 armor, +1 Dex, +2 shield) Fort +4, Ref +1, Will +0
I have to ask, anyone better at keeping track of our spoils of exploration than me?
F Changeling Druid 2
From here on out I'd be happy to help as a second book-keeper-
I'm running Skull & Shackles for my home game and tracking resources for 2 PCs so a bit busy however-
If it works for GM and you, you post the loots and I'll track down the details, including resale value and who takes what from the spoils.
You post the spoils list here, and I'll post distribution and keep a running total of what's in the bag (things we haven't sold or used.)
This way we can all see what's available and discuss how to best use our gear. If you can compile - since I assume you have a list of stuff from before - I can take that and go with it.
Does that sound good? Teamwork! Let me know your thoughts!

I know the paizo site has had loads of extra traffic lately and for everyone posting has been harder than usual. Thanks.
F Changeling Druid 2
Hey all, I am out of town this week end and have spotty wifi, I'll check in when I can. Go ahead and bot me if needed, ranged attacks and spells.
Hey guys -- I'm currently on the road. An unexpected family issue came up a couple of days ago, so my wife and I made sudden travel plans. I'll be back next week. I think that I'll be able to keep up with the game, but in case I'm slow posting, you know what's happening.

Now the dangerous part telling the fey which pranks are the best!!
M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA
Just a note the pipe and comb thing are not in the AP, but common sense says these are things fey want!!

Orrik now wants to recruit Perlivash as a familiar :)
M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA
Good luck...only time will tell....
Oh and again I added the word "Dragoons" to this....
Male Half Elf Swashbuckler-1/Rogue-1 (HP: 17/17; AC 15, 13tch,12 ff; F+1.R+8, W+0)
I think Perlivash will more likely take Orrik as a familiar ;)
M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA
I will assume you show Perlavish the map....
According to him....
He and Tyg live in C7
There are/was traps in B6
The bandit camp is/was in D8
The bear and temple is in D6
The giant frogs (hot spring) are/were in D4
The "dragoons" are way off in F4
Edit. I have added this information to the campaign info tab.
Male Half Elf Swashbuckler-1/Rogue-1 (HP: 17/17; AC 15, 13tch,12 ff; F+1.R+8, W+0)
Hey guys, sorry about the long silence. Coming back from the trip, not having really had a spring break, the daily routine hit me pretty hard, and I just failed to keep up with things.
Going to catch up with the game now.
F Changeling Druid 2
glad you are back, Orrik!
M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA
If you guys are hacking a people path it will take some work, if you are sneaking in use the checks I described (along with stealth), if you are going to cut a path suitable for your mounts to ride in it will take until nearly nightfall to finish.....
If you have other plans....let me know
M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA
Mahdrig is up! In the game thread....
M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA
So everyone needs to roll that will save.
If you make it you remember that post, if you don't make the will save then you do not remember the "forgotten one" at all (including what it said)........
M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA
OK so you have a nice spot to camp....
M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA
Sorry to put some extra stuff in there for you, lots of the bookkeeping in kingmaker happens at Oleg's....(and gives me a chance to update the campaign info thread...unless I forget...)
NPCs introduced
New wanted posters
etc, etc, etc......
Is anybody keeping a list of explored hexes and what we found in each one somewhere?
Oleg's is in hex B10, correct?
M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA
Campaign info tab.
Yes Olegs is there. As far as I can track. There are hexes you have explored and hexes you have heard some about.
Male Witchwolf Cavalier lvl 2 HP 18(18) AC 19, touch 11, flat-footed 18 (+6 armor, +1 Dex, +2 shield) Fort +4, Ref +1, Will +0
Alright. By what was listed in the campaign tab, looks like the C1 and D2 and the hexes around them are a good idea to clear out before we start going through the forest.
What do you guys think?
M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA
I think as you clear portions of the map I will just put in large swaths of a revealed map for ease of reference....
Male Witchwolf Cavalier lvl 2 HP 18(18) AC 19, touch 11, flat-footed 18 (+6 armor, +1 Dex, +2 shield) Fort +4, Ref +1, Will +0
Thank you so very much for that. Its hard to figure that out when the previous group didn't really have a map posted.
M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA
No worries, If we can finish out the top section and then work out a good plan, I think we can carry on with no real issues. I will keep naming them in the campaign info tab.
