thanks for sticking with us, this is one of my favorite games (and im in a lot of games)
The Nameless GM |
I don't know what happened to Annabell and Crispy, but they might want to join in. Something important has happened.
Marcel, Scab, and Edward, thanks for actively posting, even when I'm not. You'll be recognized for that later. For now, combat!
Again, any questions on how the new Init works, bring it here.
Vincent "Scab" |
dang, how is my DR less than half of Marcel's? did i do something wrong?
The Nameless GM |
Has anyone noticed that Crispy hasn't done squat in the last few posts?
He's just standing there in a slightly heroic pose waiting for stuff to happen. Just like Mark in The Gamers.
Crispy, please post. And these robots have a special kind of setting to go for the weakest looking enemy that isn't doing anything.
I will GMPC you and make you pull a Freakazoid and run straight into combat with your arms above your head going "ZZZUUUUMM!!!"
Vincent "Scab" |
i think i messaged him and Annabell, unless I am mistaken. I might have gotten them confused for people i've messaged in other campaigns.

The number of override keys is getting kinda stupid, so I'll help you guys out just this once.
Blue Key: Security Captain's key
Yellow Key: Head Mechanic's key
Green Key: Unknown
Red Key: Unknown
All three keys look like a regular key, except for a large curved part extending from the side near the tip. It fits in the keyhole it was designed for.
There is something else about these keys, but that will be saved for another post. [/mysterious GM]

still having fun!
so crazy about the mouse. funny how one small creature can really muck everything up

Marcel is ahead of us so i was letting his scene go through and then report results to us
Tenro |
posting this in all 28 of my games (although some of them are dead, i am pretty sure... and others are quite slow so my absence will not be missed overmuch):
There are two hurricanes heading for Hawaii, where I live. One is supposed to land on Friday after being downgraded to a tropical depression, the other is supposed to land Sunday with experts unsure as to how much it'll be downgraded after colliding with the mountains.
I'm sure everything will be fine, so no need to worry. People are freaking out for some reason, but I remain in a state of relative readiness.
I anticipate a loss of internet, at a minimum (they can barely keep it together under optimal conditions). Likely loss of power as well. A time without electricity could last anywhere from four days to four months (with some time around one to two weeks being more realistic).
I'll be on between now and then, but if i just disappear, check the news, hahaha.
The Nameless GM |
Indeed, Tenro. Stay safe.
So I have a question for you guys. This may change the way the game is played, and if you guys don't like my idea, just say so. I may be the GM, but I want to make sure my players are happy and having fun.
You guys have fairly high DRs against damn near everything. Doing a little research, I've been able to find on the guide we have for our weapon index a small list of armors and their associated stats (weight, AC bonus, ACP, etc).
While the list is small, it does have everything we currently have. It even includes a list of DRs associated with specific types of damage.
This would only slightly change our current setup, since we would still have DRs, we would still have AC, and some of the more confusing rules can be removed. (My whole concept of +1 weapons and armor, for example) It'll feel a little more like Pathfinder, but still feel like Fallout.
If you guys don't like this idea, then no harm, no foul.
Just an example, your new ACs would look something like this:
Crispy = 15(Scavenge Mail) (You'll get the option to change since you wear next to nothing anyway)
Annabell = 17(Combat Armor, Light)
Edward = 16(T-45d Power Armor)(You have some high DRs against stuff, so a 16 isn't too bad)
Marcel = 13(Scavenge Mail)(You'll also be giving the option to change since your armor choice is kinda off)
Scab = 15(Scavenge Mail)(Your armor is kinda weird too, so we might give you a chance to change)
Again, if you guys don't like this idea, you can just say no and we'll continue as is.
I personally think this would work better, since we have a better chance to get hurt and roleplay it a little better. I'll make sure I don't kill you guys. I'm not much of an @$$hole.

Hey guys, sorry I've been so quiet recently. I was on a 2 week vacation, then I had to start packing for moving and now I'm moved to a new home. I haven't been able to log on to Paizo a whole lot more than once a week, and when I do log on so much is happening that I can't comment on what has happened because I (or at least Crispy) haven't been able to understand what has happened. Can someone tell me a 3 sentence gist of what has happened in the last month?
The Nameless GM |
You took a job with Annabell's Druid clan to rid their sacred caves, a Vault, of an unknown evil. So far you found revolvers, robots, and override keys. Almost found the boss.
That good enough for you, brother?
And don't worry about not posting. Life comes first.

We got in the vault under the swampy druid marsh, where we explored, resulting in the discovery of several keys and passcodes to allow further access after killing some robots.
this vault's secret purpose was to create a sort of Eden, using nuclear power to let plants grow in any soil, which caused a big tree to rupture the vault and spill out to create the marsh.
We are accessing a secret lower level, where there is a big ol' deathclaw, which will almost certainly kill some of us.

Layer of water roughly 6 inches deep. Your shoes are gonna be wet.
There may be conduits around. You just have to find them, and hope you weren't standing in the water when you do what I know you're gonna do.
Gamer minds think alike!
Also, no one has said anything about the idea for the AC change. Any thoughts?
Vincent "Scab" |
Whatever helps with veracity is fine with me. I might look at some other armors.
The Nameless GM |
Let's admit it, we've all cheated at Fallout by looking at the Wiki, or at any other game. Even Pathfinder!
So, in honor of that tradition as old as gaming, I'll provide in a spoiler what each of the options will provide for you as a combat boost. If you look or don't look is completely up to you.
- Leave it alone
- I'm not gonna tell
- You can't get it out of me
- Did you really think I'd tell you? :D
If you looked here, send me a PM saying so, but don't tell the other players! I've got a plan in mind I think you guys will like.
The Nameless GM |
Sorry bout the lack of posts, my friends!
Should have said this Friday, but Happy Halloween!

Ok, gonna admit, didn't see that coming.
I like where Marcel went with that. I really enjoy seeing you guys Role-play this out. This, in my opinion, is what makes this game one of the best.
The spoilers on that post appear like in New Vegas involving faction rankings. Technically, Marcel is now Vilified against the Enclave. Good work.
Hope the little bonuses you guys got help to ease the burden!

ugh, i really hate when people consider 1's on skill checks critical failure.

Now I feel like an a$$hole. I didn't read the result, I just saw the nat 1. My bad.
Tell you what, you don't take the damage, but you accidentally lock yourself out of the computer. The DC would have been higher than a 13 to get into the computer in the first place. Sound fair?
And something I'd like you guys to know, due to changing situations where I am, I am only able to post on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and the occasional Sunday. Sorry if this slows things down any further than it already has!
