Ferro lad calls for HQ defenses being activated and then sends signal to the Legionnaires on Weber World to head to Earth. "Matter Eater lad, head to communications and monitor all com traffic. Cosmic boy, WIldfire, Polar boy try to barricade ground level access points. We don't need a mob of people in here when things get ugly"

He paces a moment then looks to Light Lass "Care to fly with me to get a view above to see if there are any changes already?"

Matter-Eater Lad: I'm on my way, I have a feeling this is going to be interesting, and not in a good way.

Wildfire: On it bossman. The defenses are in place, we'll man them in case someone tries something.

Light Lass: I think we can do that. We should maintain a good enough altitude to avoid being easily noticed.

With everyone in agreement of your orders, they depart to their respective assigned locales.

What next?

Ferro Lad start to hover and flies forward abit. He turns turns to for Light Lass to follow suit. Once she has caught up, flies with her outside of HQ and up into the sky.

As you and Light Lass soar over the city of Metropolis you recognize nearly every building as it should be. The living districts of Metropolis appear to be unchanged.

As you continue streaking across the sky, you see the U.P. Builiding (or at least what should have been the United Planets building). The structure is quite similar to what it always has been, with the exception of a giant "S" (as in the Superman emblem) that stretches across the roof top.

Flying further, you reach the Time Institute, or at least WAS the Time Institute. The building is gone completely and within its place stands the Kryptian Cloning and Genetics Research Institute. This building is far larger than the Time Institute was, it literally stretches over several city blocks as well as towers over the majority of the other buildings in Metropolis.

You realize that Interlac is still the common language because you can read the sign. Had it been in some other language, you would not have been able to read it.

Checking over the many Science Police buildings you see changes as well. The Superman emblem is used here as well and the various SP outposts are all much larger than they normally would be.

The citizens of Metropolis seem to pass by living everyday, ordinary lives. They travel from one building to another in various ground and air transport systems. Throughout the entire city you see far more Science Police officers patrolling the streets and walkway. Everything appears very orderly and safe for the citizens of Metropolis.

You see the Justice League Tower standing tall and proud near the center of the city. Built in the shape of an "S" the building dominates everything around it.

Returning back towards the Legion Headquarters, you realize that its transformation must be completed as well. What you knew to be your headquarters is now a memorial to fallen Justice League members.

This should give you a basic idea of some changes throughout the city.

Let me know what you'd like to do at this point.

Hmm; we could move to intercept them; perhaps stay ahead of the time change; perhaps a holo emitter would change Shadow Lass' appearance if and when needed; if so, take a back up just in case.

ok; so lets get aboard the cruiser and take a time jumper with us and move to intecept those from Webers world.

Brainy; at what rate is the temporal expansion moving? Are then any known temporal sheilds?

As you have the last Time Bubble loaded upon the Legion cruiser, you turn your attention to Brainiac 5 for one last question or two. Meanwhile, Invisible Kid, Shadow Lass and Dream Girl board the craft.

perhaps a hologram (device) would change Shadow Lass' appearance if and when needed; Essentially, holgrams are recordings of an individual either live or pre-recorded. They have no phyical body when and often disappear when touched or the individual's passes through the image. They are not capable of combat or other complex moves. The speech is pre-recorded or can be "live" giving the person being hologrammed the capability of actual conversation.

I should point out also that Timber Wolf's face is pretty animalistic; enough that it could create problems as well. This may be corrected with make up but only by someone who is greatly skilled. Locales would assume he is a werewolf.

I'd suggest keeping Shadow Lass and Timber Wolf on the Legion ship as backup (and you may want it manned anyway). This allows you Invisible Kid and Dream Girl to walk around normally.

Your question about the temporal expansion moving and shields I am a bit uncertain of. Do you mean the rate of change that is occurring because of the time alteration? If that is the case, it is moving rather quickly and it is time to get out of the 30th century before it is to late. There are no guarentees that time travel will be possible in the alternate time line, meaning you would not have access to it if you wait much longer.

As for temporal shields, are you asking if there is some sort of shield that will protect you from the time change? If so, No there is no such device. Perhaps you could clarify what you mean so I can get a better feel for the question.

Ferro Lad looks around in awe a bit before looking trying to contact the others "Wildfire. Cosmic boy. Matter Eater. Do any of you still read?" He then turns to see if Light Lass is still around, hoping she is.

Cosmic Boy: Were still here, but incredible changes to the HQ has already taken effect. The place seems to have become a mauseleum for the Justice League. I'm talking hundreds of heroes that have died starting with the 1980's on up till recent, that's nearly 1,000 years they seem to have existed. I only recognize a few of the statues though, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Flash, The Batman, and a huge assortment of Superman. It seems there are several of him, each with a different name, and they were in service far longer than their earthling counterparts.

I'm calling everyone together, this place is manned with high tech security and some sort of pseudo Science Police. We've got a lot of civilians here as well, practically falling to their feet over these heroes. Were trying to formulize a plan as we speak. Gotta go....

Ferro Lad: Yes Light Lass is still with you. Down below, you see what appear to be about 50-60 civilians that have gathered together at a city plaza. There are seveal officers (8)present. The Science Police Officers have gathered around the civilians and have their weapons pointed at them. Make six Perceive Target rolls. You should find it under your Areas of Expertise. If you don't find it let me know. I will make the same rolls for Light Lass.

It appears that the Science Police are dealing with crowd control and their methods may be violent, depending upon what kind of weapons they are using of coarse. At this point you have no idea why the crowd gathered or what has happened to garner the attention of the Science Police.

Also you recall that you and Light Lass were amongst the dead based off of Dream Girls vision. In addition Mon-el was dead as well. The other 6-8 dead Legionnaires were not named specifically so you do not exactly which ones are included in the Legion death toll.

Ferro Lad: Ferro Lad, this is Matter-Eater Lad, we just found out that Lightning Lad, our Garth is a member of this Justice League. I found a statue of him. Looks like him and Supes are buddy buddy, and a dead Saturn Girl is lying at their feet.

"Ok; team; let us get in the ship and meet up with the others and get underway to stop this villian in the 13th Century or minimally to gather what information we can to help the others defeat him.

I think once there we should work in shifts with Invisible Kid and Dream Girl on days; Shadow Lass and Timber Wolf on nights; and myself in swing shift to work with both."

Once onboard; I will move our craft at maximum speed to our rendevous and meet the others; on the trip I will familiarize myself with Earth of this period and the terrain we will be encountering and various local customs and period dress if available; if not; we will figure these things out in our primary recon after I bring the cruiser into orbit over 13th century earth.

sorry about lack of posts; been in the hospital and recovering.

did you need a pilot skill or is Lighting Lad good enough pilot to just take a 10; so to speak; seem pretty straight forward unless we have to blast out of here with peeps on our tail.

First off, sorry to hear about your trip to the hospital, hope your felling much better. My apologize Lightning Lad, I meant to say you'd be taking a Time Bubble instead of spacecraft to the 13th century. The time bubble is about 8-10 feet across/height.

If you want to meet the Timber Wolf as fast as possible, I would suggest taking one extra person with (say Matter-Eater Lad) and board the time bubble upon the ship. Meet Timber Wolf half-way in space and all of you take the time bubble back to the 13th century, leaving Matter Eater Lad to bring the ship back to Legion HQ or elsewhere if he decides.

While rondevouing with Timber Wolf you can access Legion records to get an idea of what the 13th century is like. Go ahead and make an Academics: Specie Studies, History roll (see AOE)to see how much of your research you can recall when necessary. To attempt the AOE roll a d20 and add your Intelect bonus and 1/2 your Concentration bonus (round up).

If you succeed at a challenge score of 20 you can reduce the Untrained modifier from -4 to -3.

If you succeed at a challenge score of 24 you can reduce the Untrained modifier from -4 to -2.

If you succeed at a challenge score of 28 you can reduce the Untrained modifier from -4 to -1.

These modifiers being temporarily however; long enough to handle your visitation to the 13th century.

Yes you can fly the spacecraft to meet Timber Wolf without making a piloting roll. You can also take the Time Bubble to the 13th century without a die roll as well.

((Go ahead and roll for me; busy of late))

Ok; hope another team member will help with the study since this isnt my area of expertise; will ask other team members to study; maybe one will make us a cliff's notes version.

Academics, history

can we fabricate clothes and armor like chainmail but from our modern materials. A 4 in 1 weave is fairly typical; so would like to make a more complex weave, maybe Brainy can help. Am thinking of various cover stories, so need gear to fit in. With a armor; we should be able to affect decent disguises; with a full chain coif and full helm; and the padding underneath we should be able to disguise skin colors and timber wolfs beastial features. Ever see the movie Hearts and Armor; hehe one knight wore scale mail and wore a chicken styled helm.
