After it. Those wizards need time to spell themselves ready for combat, if he stops to cast we can catch him.

Seeing the cleric keeping pace Aden grabs her hand to guide her as they run. Stay with me till your sight returns.

Wearing light armor, Toby easily keeps up and makes sure he yells so the others can follow. "Come back heeeeere."

Sunset just opens her mouth, raises a finger and watches pretty much every one race off after their 'Guide'. She pauses, reaches into a pocket and withdraws a coin. Flipping and then catching said token, she shakes her head and just sighs.

"And here I was thinking I were the impulsive one..." She mutters, shaking her head, as she begins to walk after her compatriots.

Hashar moves up at a steady pace with Sunset still bothered by the blindness of the explosion. He stays quiet and has his greatsword still out.

You all hear the voice of a beast like a bear or something similar say some unintelligable words

Agia clutches her trident and Aden's guiding hand tightly as they jog along. At the sound of the voice, she asks him quietly, "What's that?"

Aden, believing he might catch the wizard at the end of his spell. Charges (up to 40ft) the spot he last saw him, draws his sword during the move and swings hard at the spot he'd been standing as he cast. Unless he had a move action left

Toby gets his staff out and holding out to both sides of him, 'sweeps' the area for the creature.

Well the spell was a standard action so he disappeared before you got to attack, you get your attack action none the less but you don't think you hit anything

As for the Perception check, well that failed

No worries. Just depended on when during the round he cast. He could have cast, then move. In which case in swinging at air. Or he could have move+ cast in which case, I'm swinging correctly but his total concealment made me miss...

"Well..this is an interesting turn of events at least." She remarks.

"How many other minions do you think this 'Guide' were chasing has laying about the place?" Sunset asks conversationally as they move towards the sounds of their companions.

So...rounding up her fellows. (Hopefully by then their vision is back to normal) Sunset arches an eyebrow as she says,

"So, the 'Guide has disappeared....Seemingly literally. Who's left in this place to talk too?" She asks.

Aden is somewhat dissapointed.
Mages. Never straightforeward fighting them. You'd wish they'd just pick some sort of beast form and fight you face to face.

He keeps his sword out but regards his fellows.

"Figure out how to see again?" Agia rasps, "That poor thing that exploded was bright. Then I vote for taking this place apart stone by stone until we get some answers. If that thing was a student here, somebody must know of it. It certainly didn't seem to have volunteered for the assignment." She backs against the nearest wall and listens carefully for any threat, still holding her trident at the ready.

The Madwand is mad, "After we rough up the next mage we meet, the others should be more cooperative."

"Woah there mates. Remember, we're the one invited into the middle of an academy in a good sized city. Breaking things here might get us attention from folks who'd we'd be more in the like of asking to save our hanging becksides, than not." Though she grins.

"Now...hoping we flush out more of the folks that wish us harm, that I can surely look forwards to..." So saying she starts up again.

"Now...where are the stairs again..." She mutters, trying to remember the lay out of the buildings they've been walking through.

Well there are a few towers at the academy, you've been to the top of one already, there is one close by you could check out and another 2 at the other end of the academy

Alright before you reach the top of the tower, on the second to last floor your path is blocked by a statue holding a highly decorated saber and a hideous demond mask

Sunset comes to a halt and points her mace towards the statue,

"Ware the wee demons flying there." She calls,

"Trust me on this..." She whispers from the corner of her mouth, "There's something else floating about with 'em."

Well...at least exploring the place is interesting..." She adds.

So what are we supposed to say to them?

"We need to find out how deep this goes. Was that a renegade mage.. thing... or are the rest in on it? What do they want?"

"Well..the little flying things there certainly might be open to conversation?" She suggests, before stepping forwards and shouting,

"HELLO there! Who or what might you three be?"

The ugly mask replies in an evil but squeeky voice "We're guarding the tower"
The sword suddenly speaks in a regal but bestial voice like a snake "Shut up! There are the people we can't let past"

You hear a diabolic voice from behind the mask "Show us you're rune then boy"

"Oho," Agia says, "Big and ugly wasn't alone in his plots. And since this place is being guarded by entities that know about the runes, I think we need to get inside."

A demonic voice replies "Do you humans even know what you are dealing with here?"

"I'M ONLY HALF HUMAN!" He holds up his greatsword, "AND I DON'T THINK YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR MESSING WITH STATUE!!" He gives a long growl.

Suddenly the sword turns into a snake, and three creatures appear behind the statue, a small floating eye encased in metal and two tiny humanoids with bat like wings and horns on their heads, one yellow-green and the other red
