The bulbous creature is absolutely confused when Bazzle appears out of nowhere and thanks it, then just a moment later shanks it in the side right between the rips and into the heart. He clutches his side only momentarily before falling over, nearly squishing the nimble rogue in the process. Meanwhile, Tarnagius makes a single strike with his longsword which catches the redactor off guard. Not only does it slice across the shoulder, but it also takes the redactor's left arm with it. Though he certainly screams in agony and clutches his wound, the man looks more determined than ever, ready to fight to the death.

Kethaera gets frustrated over casting spells and instead tries to smack the man on the head with her mace to put him out of his misery, but she misjudges the distance and just flails into the air.

As four redactors all run out of the darkness, Rexus blasts two of them with blinding colours, making them gasp before falling unconscious. Rexandi catches one with her dagger in a surprise attack, though the wound is rather superficial. He does spot Bazzle, simply because the Gnome doesn't have cover from the redactor's line of sight. Rexus yells "I got them! They will be out of it for a while!"

The redactor nearest Bazzle draws his sword cane and yells for a healing blessing from the Dark Prince, before casting a full spell upon his blade. The other redactor from that group, the furthest to the east, calls for justice, casts the same spell upon his blade, and moves towards Rexus menacingly.

The near-dead redactor faces down Kethaera and tries to slash her, but the blood covering his hand causes his sword cane to slip as it falls to the floor. The other one gingerly steps over the body of the Lout and hesitantly stabs Kethaera in the shoulder. A redactor in the back (the one who isn't blind) catches Kethaera off guard with a firebolt, which burns her face. Kethaera takes 11 dmg

Though Rexandi's attack does get parried by the redactor's much longer weapon, Bazzle manages to slip through the guard and get a very good stab into the redactor's chest. This particular redactor's wounds seem to be healing, however very slightly. Taking advantage of the darkness, he takes a single step into the shadows and makes a guard with his sword. Bazzle and Rexandi can see him ever so slightly, but he is concealed.

Tarnagius goes in for a stab, but the redactor brazenly blocks it with a reckless kick to Tarnagius' hand. Kethaera takes the opportunity to slip behind and flank, but she misjudges distance again and is left to swing at the air. Noticing this, the redactor takes a slight step towards the stairs and draws his dagger before lunging for Kethaera, but the nimble half-elf easily dodges back. The healthy redactor in front of Tarnagius makes a sweeping attack, but Tarnagius' armor saves him from any possible damage. That being said, Tarnagius suddenly feels dizzy and nausious as a redactor in the backline starts chanting. Tarnagius is barely capable of defending himself while his head remains in a daze. Tarnagius is dazed, he can't take actions this turn (sorry Tarn)

Rexus begins his duel against a single redactor with a forward step and thrust, which catches the man off-guard and wounds his left arm. The redactor swings his sword as a reflex, but it is completely ineffectual.

No more reinforcements are currently being heard.

As the redactor in the shadows continues to slowly heal, Rexandi stabs him right in his chest wound while Bazzle finishes him off with a jab into the heart. Rexus continues to stab forward at his foe, but the man parries it and ripostes for a devastating pierce into Rexus' chest. Blood drips down his silver trim tunic and he says "I... I doubt that will come out of the wash."

The wounded redactor fighting in a frenzy hurls himself towards Kethaera, but this time she takes the mace in both hands and smashes him across the face, killing him instantly. Tarnagius' foe hits nothing but reinforced armor, but a redactor from behind steps up and blasts both Tarn and Kethaera with fire. Tarnagius dodges the most of it, but Kethaera takes the full heat.

Swift, but not too threatening. A minor wound is formed along the redactor's right arm as Tarnagius gathers his senses and slices horizontally. Tarnagius charges down the stairs after the wounded redactor and leaps off the end of the flight with an overhead two-handed chop from his longsword. The attack slices down the redactor's face and smashes his skull in before he collapses to the ground. There's still one redactor remaining near Tarnagius, a healthy but incredibly frightened redactor who is on the verge of panic.

Meanwhile, Kethaera draws her wand of CLW and hops next to Rexus to keep him healthy. It's a very minor amount of healing, but still something. Rexus thanks her with a nod and a sigh of relief. Rexandi, are you sure you want to do that? I calculate that although you would have partial concealment, you'd provoke 2 attacks of opportunity. You can use an acrobatics check as a free action to help tumble, but you'll need your full speed to do it, which increases the DC by 10. I also looked to see if a charge was possible, but alas, you have to be able to see the target before moving.

There are two kinds of zombies here. The regular putrid ones, and the charred ember ones. The charred ember ones are Rexus' parents, and I've marked each of those with either the male or female symbol. The big black circle represents the darkness spell. There's still one redactor remaining, who's been unconscious this whole time. Since Rexus is now on the ground and unconscious, a coup-de-grace can be delivered as a full round action by either the mother charred ember zombie, or the regular putrid zombie just above him. Hope that helps.

Sometimes I have (a lot of) trouble remembering all the details, but technically the squares that are only partially covered by darkness aren't affected by the spell. So there would be no concealment. And no, even if the zombie was affected by concealment it can still see you because you're within 5 feet. It would have an attack of opportunity, but it would have the 20% miss chance too. Sneak attacks aren't supposed to work within concealment, but I keep forgetting that. And after checking, I've just learned that creatures who have darkvision can see through the darkness spell. Since we're at dim light, I would rule that low-light vision would also work fine. That means that Bazzle, Kethaera, the Zombies, and Rexandi can see through the darkness spell without issue.

These are the sites I used for this information, if you'd like to peruse them. Concealment, Darkness Spell, Vision and Light.

Bazzle stabs away at the zombie's torso, before shanking it right in the heart. The zombie fall onto its back and flails at the air before lying motionless.

Tarnagius' turn. Rexandi can alter her actions if she would like.
