Something I just noticed in the rules Jondar's rebuke death doesn't work if your knocked unconcious by nonlethal damage but not yet in negatives.

gm 3

old houserules:

1. Angels are not immune to petrification.
2. Vermin Heart(APG) allows mind affecting spells that affect animals to work on vermin Awaken also works with vermin heart. Also mites get vermin heart for free just feels right if they cast spells
3. No obsidian Urumis These just do not make sense as obsidian is not flexible.
4. Scout rouges get handaxe proficiency for free (I just think it feels right and aren't shortswords more powerful)
5. You can put a flag or torch in a locked gauntlet if you really wanted to.(I don't think you can by raw but this makes more sense.)
6. I give out a +2 circumstance bonus if you make an intimidate check on someone who is prone and you threaten him.
7. Please no player vs player combat.

New houserule even though no one has taken the feat yet but this seems badly worded on this feat. On net adept and the other feats in ultimate combat it should be net proficiency not exotic weapon proficiency net in the prequisites. This actually seems stupid as if you wanted to make a net based character you might take teh beast master half orc alternative racial trait or if you are a grippli.

Is everyone waiting for someone else to do something?

Male Half-Orc Inquisitor of Gorum 2

WOrk's been a bear.

Your Humble Narrator

Ditto

gm 3

I don't seem to have Nesteruk's formula book accessible for some reason but it must contain the spells for tommorow.

HP 12/17, AC- 15 T- 11 FF- 14 CMD 16 F +7, R +5, W +4, P +8, In +1, AOO +6 Half-Orc Alchemist 2

Sorry its on my Herolab. Same formula prep as yesterday, Enlarge Person and Shield. My only other level 1 spells are Cure Light Wounds and Shield.

Winter Witch 3

Any Suggestions on my two 1st level spells to prepare

  • Chill Touch
  • Cure Light Wounds
  • Enlarge Person
  • Icicle Dagger[UM]
  • Obscuring Mist
  • Reduce Person

  • Male Orc Expert 5

Enlarge person is good for one of the umpteen billion smack beasts we have. BEyond that I really dont know anything about ice witches so I can't really say.

Male Half-Orc Inquisitor of Gorum 2

CLW might be handy if Jondar goes down.

    Expert 3/Slacker 4/Layabout 2

Back on Jan 31 Symas said he was interested in a new PC, but we haven't gotten him into the game. If we went back to town that would be an easy way to pick up his new PC.

    Symas are you still in?

    gm 3

I have pmed him some about a new character.

I am. I created this new character.

    gm 3

I want to know who is on what watch and when.

Male Half-Orc Inquisitor of Gorum 2

may have trouble posting for a couple days. Work melt down.

    gm 3

Chardak Hope everything gets better and that you don't work in a nuclear reactor.
I may not be able to post much the 24th through the 31st though but maybe one day in there I will have time it is my spring break. I also need what spells Anna Prepares.

    gm 3

I think if I need to know when to npc someone and then post you can change your actions if I haven't yet had an enemies initiative yet. Although therealthom has a ton of work now so I don't expect him.

    Sovereign Court

    Male

I pretty much check in daily, but i'm waiting for other people's actions.

Most PbP's i'm involved with use a 24 hour rule, with weekeneds being the exception. 24 hours since someone's action is required, the DM takes it and moves on.

    Expert 3/Slacker 4/Layabout 2

holy heavens you guys are moving fast. I fully endorse GM_wu DMPCing Chardak while work sucks.

I'm afraid thats not how stabilise works. Even once your 'stabilised' your still in negative HP, it just means you won't bleed out once you collapse after casting it.

Just to be clear. Its not going to let you continue to act on negative HP.

Right you are. I won't be able to contribute a string of standard actions. That will teach me to skim the PRD.

I still stand by the stabilize. Jondar and Anna don't have to worry about Chardak and can act freely in the near term. I'll be able to take a move action each round. I'll have the option to contribute a standard action if it warrants going further negative and "unstable".

    gm 3

You still collapse after casting stabilize. Since stablize says -1 or fewer hit points it works with orc ferocity in that you don't lose hit points after that but you still fall unconcious but are stable until you take damage agian. No actoins at all since you will be unconcious. Stabilize helps with the bleeding part not the falling unconcious part.

Male Half-Orc Inquisitor of Gorum 2

My bad. For some reason I was confusing stable with the disabled condition. All clear now.

    gm 3

what spell did Chardak end up casting in the end?

Male Half-Orc Inquisitor of Gorum 2

We can roll with the bless and not retcon any posts. That's most expeditious.

As an aside I would have wanted to go with stabilize and let both Jondar and Anna take offensive action. Although I really do appreciate the healing Jondar.

    Well struck Tark!

    gm 3

LYle just noticed in your character sheet there is an error your light crossbow attack bonus is too low looks like you forgot the size bonus to attack rolls. It also applies to ranged touch attacks like acid splash.

Yeah, I did. Thanks for noticing that and the arcane +1 on my spells during game.

Thing is that is months from my birthday. Odd coincedence.

    gm 3

Random question I have been wanting to know for a while. What ethinicities are Anna's parents? Also Where does the last name Millner come from Jondar? I want to know hopefully it isn't a type of beer.

    Winter Witch 3

I was raised mostly by a Yuki-onna, as Northern raiders were a cause for me becoming an orphan.

If I had to guess; I'd say both were half-elves with Ulfen blood.

Can you tell I've only really ever played non-magic classes? Hah. Thanks for catching my mistakes. I've only played Wizards, and sparsely. Thought I'd try something new, and I'm not doing a very good job.

    Winter Witch 3

I used to make only melee characters or the odd sorcerer.
After some time playing and trying other classes, I got used to the other classes.
It became easier to play them, and I can now play any of the 4 roles (Assault, Skilled, Arcane, and Divine)

Very nice. I'll take this opportunity to do the same.

    gm 3

I used to play a lot of archer characters. I think the only sorcerors I used where npcs. And I play a lot of rangers. I also in another pbp have a level 2 cleric.

Male Half-Orc Inquisitor of Gorum 2

PbP is a good place to try new classes because you have plenty of time to look up rules. It also helps if you have a sharp GM like Wu checking you.

Chardak is my first inquistor, my first non-PHB PC. I've made some mistakes. Completely forgot about the judgement in that first orc fight and we could have used every edge we could get in that one.

I've played a little of everything in the PHB although never to high levels. Never a druid. Someday, just to see what it's like I'll try a druid. I have a soft spot for rogues. I like skills.

Agreed. PbP has a lot of advantages that I really like. That is definitely a good one. Nice to get it all straight.

    Male Human Cleric/1

I just made up the name didn't think about where it came from but could say that Jondar's great grandfather was a miller and changed his name to Millner.

    Male Orc Expert 5

So after a long process of looking at my games I've decided to drop a couple. Ssadly this one did not make that cut. The reasoning behind this has nothing to do with the slowness of the game or any conflicting playstyles with GM's or Players.

Rather it has more to do with a selfish desire to promote the setting I've been investing time into by running a game on these forums. If you don't already know I do a lot of free lance writing. One of these companies recently released it's campaign setting which has been doing relatively well as 3pp goes. Now with the release of this little piece of work I've been hired on to have a bigger role in the molding and fleshing out of the setting to the point where I'm in the midst of creating an outline for a module I wish to write.

However I need to get more familiar with the setting. So on top of reading nearly a dozen books I realized I can never really understand how it comes together without actually running a game in it. So sadly I've been forced to cut somethings out (about three games total including the Living Pathfinder games I've been participating in. I do apologize I know I've not been present as is so I sincerely hope this does not inconvenience you. Thank you for taking the time for tolerating my shenanigans.

Just imagine Karthan riding back off into the fog. He'd make a handy npc from time to time.

    Expert 3/Slacker 4/Layabout 2

Tark, sorry to see you go. Seeing your alias in the recruitment thread was one of the reasons I applied for a spot in the game.

Didn't know that you freelanced, but it makes perfect sense considering the quality and depth of reasoning of your posts.

Best of luck with your expanded role and new module.

    gm 3

I am sorry to see Tark go as well You were a great player.

On another note should I recruit a new player to bring the party back up to 6?

    HP 12/17, AC- 15 T- 11 FF- 14 CMD 16 F +7, R +5, W +4, P +8, In +1, AOO +6 Half-Orc Alchemist 2

Probably best to just keep us at 5 if its convenient for you.

Good luck, Tark. See you on the boards.

    Loot! Loot! Loot!

    1. really well made greataxe the half orc in breastplate had. (Nesteruk)
    2. silver key on the half orc (Nesteruk)
    3. a bottle contianing a white milky liquid (Nesteruk)
4 bag of 40 silver coins, 2 gold ones, 6 copper pieces (Nesteruk)
    5. normal quality breastplate. (Nesteruk)

    6. well made shackles (Nesteruk)
    7. 6 reaming falchions from the fight yesterday (Nesteruk)
    8. 3 heavy flails (Nesteruk)
    9. three suits of studed leather armor (Nesteruk)
    10. 30 silver peices .(Nesteruk)

    Symas' gear held by Chardak

    1. short bow and arrows (taken by Chardak and he's keeping them)
    2. Short sword (1d6, 19–20/×2, P, 10 gp, 2 lbs)
    3. Dagger (1d4, 19–20/×2, 10 ft, P or S, 2 gp, 1 lb)
    4. Backpack (2 gp, 2 lbs) with , bedroll (1 sp, 5 lbs), waterskin (1 gp, 4 lbs), torches x5 (5 cp, 5 lbs), piece of chalk x5 (5 cp), flint and steel (1 gp), thieves' tools (30 gp, 1 lb),

Nesteruk might be getting a little weighed down. We should decide what we're keeping and redistribute the gear. The NPC woman could carry some stuff and we should put her in some armour for her own protection.

    HP 12/17, AC- 15 T- 11 FF- 14 CMD 16 F +7, R +5, W +4, P +8, In +1, AOO +6 Half-Orc Alchemist 2

Yeaaaah... For clarity, i've not claimed any of that except the greataxe! Can we get a value on everything non-magical and then try and identify anything magical- and then we can work out everyone's share!

    gm 3

Rember you have not looted anything from the half orc encounter

    HP 12/17, AC- 15 T- 11 FF- 14 CMD 16 F +7, R +5, W +4, P +8, In +1, AOO +6 Half-Orc Alchemist 2

Can we assume we go back and do so while seeing Karthan off?

I'd like to take the Dagger, if I may.

I know. I wrote it that way because you'd been listed as finder and we had figured out who was carrying what. Made for a funny picture of Nesteruk lurching around trying to hold all that stuff.

    Lyle Shortwick wrote:

Fine by me. If you can use it, it's yours as far as I'm concerned. Also, I've got Chardak snatching that bow. That's just him. I'm always open to discussions about the loot split. So if he appropriates something you think he shouldn't, speak up and no hard feelings.

    [spoiler= Loot!Loot!Loot!]
    1. really well made greataxe the half orc in breastplate had. (Nesteruk)
    2. Symas' short bow and arrows (taken by Chardak and he's planning on keeping them)

    Unclaimed (Community) loot
    2. silver key on the half orc (Nesteruk)

Mr. DM, sir. Did the key go with the shackles?

    gm 3

Yes the key went with the shackles.

Chardak is proficient with the breastplate if he wants it.

Although Lyle Symas' dagger is medium sized.
