HP 12/17, AC- 15 T- 11 FF- 14 CMD 16 F +7, R +5, W +4, P +8, In +1, AOO +6 Half-Orc Alchemist 2

Just spotted this thread on my rounds, you might want to link it into a campaign with recruitment or provide a link from tehre so people can find it easier.

Nesteruk's ready to go, stat block in profile.

Winter Witch 3

IC Game Link

Male Human Cleric/1

Jondar is ready to go. Unless there is something you want changed Gm_wu.

Can you make this game into a campaign using the tools DM? Its just every other game i'm in is a campaign and thus I can browse it from my campaigns tab. At the moment I have to look for this game manually which is a pain as I like to have it all in one place.

I have Symas in his profile. All set.

HP 12/17, AC- 15 T- 11 FF- 14 CMD 16 F +7, R +5, W +4, P +8, In +1, AOO +6 Half-Orc Alchemist 2

Huzzah, it has a campaign!

gm 3

I had set it as a campaign but you need to post in the IC thread for it to show up under your campaigns.

HP 12/17, AC- 15 T- 11 FF- 14 CMD 16 F +7, R +5, W +4, P +8, In +1, AOO +6 Half-Orc Alchemist 2

Gotcha, thanks. It didn't seem to 'take' for a while.

AC 20, FF 19, Touch 12; Hp: 34/57; Saves: Fort +8, Ref +4, Will +7; CMD 24; Perception +11

dotting

AC 20, FF 19, Touch 12; Hp: 34/57; Saves: Fort +8, Ref +4, Will +7; CMD 24; Perception +11

K, so I have chosen Paired Opportunist as my feat. For comboing later. :)

Human Jack of All trades

GM_wu here is a tool, I use a lot in my GMing and it helps in immersion and gives an idea of the NPC.

Tool: Generic NPC aliases
(Example Below)

Richard (The barkeep):
"What can I serve you today, Ager's 11, BlackJack or Dragon Ale?"

Human Jack of All trades

you only need a minimum of 2 generics
Male and Female

Though I have 6 Generics to cover Non-recruitable, Non-romancable NPCs,
Recruitable and Romancable NPCs and the very rarely used Child NPCs
(needed for Crown of the Kobold King that's coming up.)

Now I understand what that alias does and I think it is a good idea.

Yeah, I made Symas an alias (obviously), and put the character sheet into the alias profile, if that works okay.

Yes that works nicely.

Still looking for Chardak to post in the IC thread.

HP 12/17, AC- 15 T- 11 FF- 14 CMD 16 F +7, R +5, W +4, P +8, In +1, AOO +6 Half-Orc Alchemist 2

Well it is christmas, expect very slow posting generally (myself included) until we're a little past the new year :).

gm 3

checking Chardak background he does live in town although with his traits he is not well liked but I think he may be known in a hamlet.

In other news I sort of have a lot of time to post right now being on winter break from college. I think my being prompt with responces made there be so many posts already.

Other random question: Would it be helpful for the players to have notes on who the different npcs are and put them in the generic npc profile?

Sovereign Court

It would yes. I often create an alias for an NPC if hes going to be recurring or is particularly important anyway.

The Exchange

I agree. If they are going to be recurring NPC that I would like to be able to check them out.

Male Half-Orc Inquisitor of Gorum 2

Checking in.

I am very happy to be playing with you all. Many high quality players. I hope I can hold up my end.

Will be doing family stuff until January. Travelling to houses without internet. I'll post as often as I can.

Thanks for the check in to tell us where you were during this busy time.

GOt a couple minutes.

GM_wu, what if Chardak joins the party somewhere out of town? As a halforc, it makes sense that he wouldn't hang out downtown to overhear the mayor's initial pitch. SAy the little girl's mother, may I call her Karaina, hears about the expedition and tells Chardak. He's just returning from trying to track the little girl -- a hopeless task in the rain.

That way he's got a good reason to join the group (the disappearances may be connected) and there's no need to hold up game play waiting for Chardak to appear in character.

I especially dug Karthan's intro.

I really like this idea.

HP 12/17, AC- 15 T- 11 FF- 14 CMD 16 F +7, R +5, W +4, P +8, In +1, AOO +6 Half-Orc Alchemist 2

I resent the implication that half-orc's don't belong in towns like other folk :D.

gm 3

I think it varies by the half orc in question. I was not trying to say that but I think half orcs are more likely to be bullied as childrensince they are different than human dominated Golarion. Also part of it may be in the half orcs head of not feeling welcome because of past events or someone being mean to them once. It could Chardak as a character does not like being in town and feels uncomfortable there.

HP 12/17, AC- 15 T- 11 FF- 14 CMD 16 F +7, R +5, W +4, P +8, In +1, AOO +6 Half-Orc Alchemist 2

Yeah i'm only teasing. Nesteruk himself was bullied as a child ans is socially awkward at the best of times. Hes learnt to cope with towns and cities but usually keeps himself to himself.

Thank you. :D

You might want to amend that to coming into town from a hopeless track. It seems we're all headed to the inn for a bit of info gathering and getting dry and fed before heading out.

gm 3

RIght before I leave for a delayed holiday meal everyone starts posting typical ;p

Male Human Cleric/1

lol, just trying to keep you on your toes. :)

gm 3

Chardak can walk in anytime he wants now.

Male Half-Orc Inquisitor of Gorum 2

Got back lat toinght. Will post Tues. AM.

gm 3

Chardak that was pretty good timing actually.

Male Human Cleric/1

I am fine with the DM rolling init and perception checks.

Sorry for the slow post. I've been sick the last few days.

Definitely okay with me to have the DM roll initiative. Thanks for asking first too.

Male Half-Orc Inquisitor of Gorum 2

OK with me if GM rolls initiative. (Perception or sense motive too if it comes to that.)

Male Orc Expert 5

I'm with Chardak. Do what you have to do to make things go faster.

Sovereign Court

Same (obviously) :).

What did you draw the map in GM? That works out well.

Male Human Cleric/1

I have a registered copy of Dundjinni if you want to use that GM_wu. I also have Campaign Cartographer but there is a steep learning curve with that software.

If you want it let me know and I'll send you the reg key for it and you can download it from the link above.

Your Humble Narrator

As for me, I simply recommend Maptools. But hey, maps are a luxury not a necessity.

Male Human Cleric/1

Maptools would work well for this too. Then you could just post screenshots for each round.

Human Jack of All trades

For me photoshop does great for maps

Male Human Cleric/1

Yeah, I've tried using Photoshop to create maps but the always look like crap. I do use it sometimes after I have created a map in CC3 or DD3.

Human Jack of All trades

I take the maps paizo makes and photoshop areas as needed and get the grid made for player icons.

gm 3

I used Gimp. I first made a 40 pixel by 40 pixel square with a black outline around the edges then used a tile feature to make it into a map. I made seperate images for the maggots and pcs. Oh and I used the text tool to label each square.
