I apologize terribly, I must have missed the first call to arms as this is my first time seeing this thread.

I still haven't run a single PbP, but I'm currently slated for some others. That said, I'm more than confident in my ability to play an additional one, if you're still interested in having me. Tita is currently taken, but I had an idea for an admittedly light-hearted Barbarian, if you're open to something that's a little more zany without being a burden.

I'm green as it gets with PbP, but I'm a quick learner and I've done my research. I'll be able to hit the ground running. I use my current profile as the format for all my characters, so if there's any missing info on it, let me know and I'll happily fix it! I have everything under spoilers because I only use my phone, and it's less cluttered that way in mobile.

Just FYI, even if I didn't, I don't believe rejecting a character based on concept is allowed in PFS. I think as long as it is a legal build and the player hasn't played the scenario before (exception being some form of a replay), the GM must seat the player. Just for your future wild, outlandish builds ;)

Pretty sure I'm all set with Mort now, got his purchases up to date. He's going down the intimidate feat tree and has a brutal boon if/when he makes successful checks. Unfortunately I'm still working on earning the end reward, see below.

Brutal Reputation:

(2/10)Brutal Reputation: You have developed a reputation as an intimidating figure and fierce combatant. Once per adventure, you can enhance your reputation. Your reputation grows if you succeed at an Intimidate check that is written in to an adventure or successfully demoralize two or more foes during one combat. Your reputation also grows when you confirm a critical hit against an opponent whose CR is greater than your character level or suffer (and survive) a critical hit that deals an amount of damage equal to at least 5 times your character level, leaving you with a permanent, visible scar. When you achieve any of these goals during an adventure, ask your GM to record the adventure’s name and her Pathfinder Society number on the blanks below. Once you have successfully built your reputation in 10 adventures, word of your deeds provides you with an enduring benefit.

I don't think I ever gave Mort a specific height, but probably 6'3 or 6'4. Tall, strong and imposing.

This is a relatively minor encounter, so I'm not going to worry about it here, but does anyone know hoe illusions interact with allies? In this case, Lara is firing her bow as though the illusion isn't there.

I can see this going two ways:

  • Allies know it is an illusion, but interacting with it in ways that may indicate it isn't real would provide enemies with saves
  • Allies don't know it is an illusion and need to have their own interactions to figure it out.

    I appreciate all of your input on the matter, but frankly any rules text, FAQs, etc are what I'm really looking for here.

    If I were GM, I think I'd rule it that allies saw her casting a spell and know her abilities (which do not include summoning such a powerful ally), so they're in on the illusion.

    But firing or casting through it as if it weren't there would give enemies a new save.

    Admittedly I have no rules or FAQs to back this up, just my own $0.02 worth of opinion.

    Giving enemies a new save and that you all would have had some sort of conversation about what each of you are capable of is what my gut is telling me too.

    Unless rules are found, from this point on I will run it that way.

    To be clear:
    Friendly illusions don't need to be communicated between PCs, however actions that suggest the true nature of the illusion to others will prompt a saving throw.

    That's pretty generous! Thanks. I've always played it that the caster needs to whisper to his allies that he's about to cast an illusion. My bad, I should have done that.

    But it does makes sense that something of this proportion would be obvious that I can't do, to my allies.

    Either way, if we pretend it's not there, that should definitely give them a save. I agree.

    This makes me wonder if a PC can do a Bluff check to give the baddies a negative on their saves. If so, it'd be a Standard action I'm sure, but possibly worth it in some situations.

    I don't know, I could see a water elemental being porous enough that a random guy who didn't know any better wouldn't bat an eye at an arrow flying through the spray.

    I see you have a combination of traits that give you better net results, however it is something to consider since you could replace one trait (and possibly a feat) with whatever you want.
