Boons and Vanities:
Skill Boon: As an immediate action, you may reroll a skill check before success is determined. You must accept the second roll, even if it's worse than the first roll. You may only use this ability once. On using this ability, check the box and line through this boon.
Impressive Find: A representative from the Pathfinder Society--an organization of archaeologists and explorers--has heard of your discoveries in Taldor and its former colonies and invites you to join the Society as a field agent. Once you earn 12 or more Fame, your superiors award you one additional Prestige Point (but not Fame) in recognition of your excellence. You cannot have more Prestige Points than Fame, and if you would exceed this maximum, the bonus Prestige Point must be spent immediately or lost.
Well-Earned Reward: You restored Honaria's good name in Taldor. If you helped Remaio reclaim his own nobility, he is extremely grateful and offers to subsidize the cost of purchasing several items that you found during your adventures. If you instead spurned Remaio, others within the court found your actions amusing and offer you the same discount. You may purchase the treasures listed below at a reduced price: broken figurine of wondrous power (alabaster pegasus)(1000gp), treeform cloak (4500gp), and wand of heightened awareness (10 charges; 100gp)
Knight of Taldor: You successfully supported Remaio's bid to redeem the Alcasti name and restore his status in Taldan society. In recognition of your services to Taldor, Princess Eutropia herself made you a knight of Taldor. You gain a +1 bonus on Diplomacy checks when interacting with nobles in Taldor, and a +1 bonus to Intimidate when interacting with the common people in Taldor. After your considerable assistance, Remaio is in your debt. You gain a free courtier's outfit. Additionally, Remaio helps you prepare for one of your future missions. After rolling a Knowledge check at the beginning of an adventure, you may call upon Remaio's contacts to gain a +5 bonus and treat the Knowledge skill as if you were trained in it. Alternatively, you may grant Remaio's bonus to another PC. When you use this bonus, check off the box next to this boon.
Karela's Gratitude: Guaril Karela remembers the valuable information you provided him. His contacts in Nirmathas offer you a selection of ammunition. You may spend 1600gp to purchase 10 pieces of ammunition selected in any combination from the following list, or 800gp to purchase 5 pieces of ammunition. When you use this boon, cross it off your Chronicle Sheet (+1 keen, +1 coated in blue whinnis poison, +1 merciful, +1 disruption [limit 1])
Zurnzal's Foe: You defeated Zurnzal's protogee Cetenna. You gain access to the following unique magic item at the listed discount: Slippers of Venomous Webs (discounted price 8000gp).
Inside Knowledge: As a former member of the Aspis Consortium, Magali Delroya is well informed about the organization's activities, and she shares some of her information with you. You gain a +2 bonus on Knowledge (local) checks about the Aspis Consortium and can roll such checks untrained. You can cross this boon off the Chronicle sheet to take 20 on a single Knowledge (local) check about the Aspis Consortium.
Lord Avid's Recommendation: Lord Avid is impressed that you managed to complete your mission without using his writ, and he speaks highly of your discretion. You gain a +2 circumstance bonus on all Charisma-based skill checks against nobility while on the Isle of Kortos. You can cross this boon off your Chronicle sheet to lean heavily on your connection to Lord Avid. If you do so, the circumstance bonus on one such Charisma-based skill check increases to +4, and you can apply it while interacting with anyone on the Isle of Kortos.
[ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] Chef’s Secret Recipes: You have found Chef’s fiercely protected secret book of recipes, which includes techniques for using spices to draw out the maximum flavor and benefits of almost any drink or dish. Whenever you drink a potion or extract of 3rd level or lower with a variable numeric effect, you can check a box next to this boon as a swift action to maximize the benefit received (for example, when drinking a potion of cure light wounds that would normally restore 1d8+1 hit points, you could check a box next to this boon to heal the maximum possible amount of 9). Alternatively, you can check a box next to this boon when stopping to eat to grant you and up to five allies a +1 alchemical bonus on Fortitude saves for the next 24 hours.
[ ] [ ] [ ] Emilio’s Family Treasure (Grand Lodge Faction): As thanks for rescuing him, Emilio Bucsa has gifted you with a vial containing a drop of his blood and copies of Amynta’s notes on the location of his ancestral treasure. Since Emilio has well-founded concerns that Amynta could have spies watching for him at the site, he has left the recovery of this treasure to you. You may spend your downtime to check one of the boxes that precedes this boon. Upon checking the third box, you uncover the ancient Varisian cache, earning you a number of gold pieces equal to 100 × your current character level and restoring up to 2 expended Prestige Points as your archaeological findings are reported to the Society.
Society Infiltrator: Your expert infiltration of Amynta’s estate has impressed the Society, which provides you with a special dispensation to aid you in similar endeavors in the future. Characters with this boon can purchase disguise kits at half price. This reduction in cost does not stack with any other boons or abilities that reduce the cost to purchase disguise kits, and disguise kits obtained in this manner cannot be sold for more than was spent to acquire them under any circumstances.
[ ] [ ] [ ] Sommelier’s Private Selection: Despite your discretion, at least one of Amynta’s business rivals appears to have learned of your raid on her estate. You have received three bottles of a rare and potent vintage as congratulations. As a standard action, you may check one of the boxes next to this boon to draw and drink a bottle of this refined beverage, healing yourself for 1d8 hit points per 2 levels you have (maximum 5d8). The effects of this beverage may be maximized using the Chef’s Secret Recipes boon.
Debt to the Scarred Sage: As a representative of the Jeweled Sages, you promised that Grandmaster Torch would be welcome to participate in confronting any threat to the organization. Whether this is ultimately to your benefit or not remains to be seen.
Study of Infinite Spells: Although you were unable to learn spells directly from the book of infinite spells, the Pathfinder Society rewarded you for the recovery of such a powerful artifact by allowing you access to its extensive spell libraries. Choose any number of spells of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th level so long as the total spell levels do not add up to more than eight. You may scribe these spells into a spellbook or formulae book by paying only the scribing costs (see page 219 of the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook), or you may teach them to your familiar as appropriate.
Borderland Keep (property vanity—15 PP): You have taken command of Fangwood Keep as a representative of either Molthune or Nirmathas. Managing the keep increases the number of followers you can retain at any one time by 1. In addition, you may forgo rolling your Day Job at the end of a scenario to manage the fort’s operations, patrol the surrounding territory, and launch raids against the enemy. Doing so allows you to recover 1 Prestige Point as you earn the acclaim and support of the selected nation, though it does not increase your Fame score. Any Prestige Points in excess of your Fame must be spent immediately or are lost.
