And there's our quest after we're 'safe'. Get Cross' body back.
I know you tried to move us along, leinathan. I hope you're enjoying the detour. For me this is priceless. Simultaneous back story reveals for MLE and Cross. Possibly a little more party friction -- possibly some party bonding.

Hazrond |

You know, I calc'd it out, and if we go extra and consider the torso to be 3 "limbs" and the head to be 2 then it would only cost about 990 credits to grow Cross a living breathing functional body. Assuming we had the proper facilities. (oh look, there is a biological research station nearby that's ripe for the pickings :P)

'Cross' |

I feel like that is making some very specific assumptions about Cross...
Anyway, I'm having a lot of fun with the characterizations here. I wanted Cross to be a subversion of many of the 'Lone Wolf' tropes and having MLE around to easily read him and give context for his actions helps that out tremendously.

'Cross' |

Caught up now, choosing to remain passive until the MLE/Amaryst bonding scene finishes up.
Ironically, MLE's capacity for brain-murder is the aspect of her Cross would most understand.

Hazrond |

okay so for the paths we have available i can see two main ones.
>Head to Cyrune and hide out till things calm down, which could give us time to compose ourselves and possibly lead to getting work there
>Head to Castrovel and hunt for information relating to this secret military op and who funded it
alternatively, we could also possibly veer off of the existing story paths and latch onto a different nearby hook, if we so desire.

'Cross' |

Cross is more interested in seeing Kev settled safe somewhere. He trusts Castrovel about as much as the Earth government at the moment. No one conducts commando raids on heavily guarded foreign compounds in the heart of their power for purely altruistic reasons.
In the short term, Cross is going to be interested in taking on some cargo hauling work or potentially seeing what can be salvaged from that bio-lab (though he’s going to insist on a solid quarantine in hard vacuum before letting it inside the ship).

MLE-1138 |

Emily is a little afraid to stick around Tau Ceti for long, since it's populated by mostly humans and connected to Earth's government. She's also curious about the biolab though, wondering if it might be something related to the psychic project.

therealthom |

Longer term goals : Settling K-van is also high on A's priorities. She still thinks he's Smyrna's kin.
Amaryst would prefer to stay clear of Castrovel. She trusts the government there well enough on its own, but not the corporations. For all she knows the 'rescue ' could have been mounted by corporate interests who wanted to poach Earth's research. If that's true Castrovel could be more dangerous than Earth.
Cyrune seems like a really safe option for K-van, MLE, and Maldor. Amaryst will want them to make an informed choice about the matter before she agrees to go there.
Intermediate:
Wherever we go, taking cargo to finance the trip seems a very logical plan.
Bio-lab?
Near term tasks:
Try to phone Smyrna.
Buy some extra clothes and stuff if needed for K-van, MLE and Maldor.
Re-evaluate healing capabilities
Amaryst doesn't need any gear right now.

Zenvisk |

Zen is essentially neutral about where to go from here. As far as they are aware, Shirren do not have their own home system, instead settling wherever they are allowed and/or choose to.
As for short-term goals, they would be fine with going to the bio-lab, especially seeing as how there would likely be interesting technological equipment just laying around. They would also be somewhat interested in learning what is up with the sinkhole situation on Khal. However, they know that investigating that could be risky due to the systems close relations with the Terran government.
As for the purchasing of items, they are not particularly in need of anything just yet. They will likely point out that getting extra food supplies while we have the opportunity might be a good idea.

Maldor Brock |

Mal is just fascinated with being in space!! It was always a dream of his as a child, and now here he is! He is also extremely in the debt of this crew and will go along with (just about) anything they suggest...

therealthom |

leinathan, rather than shopping on station, with your permission, I'm going to assume Amaryst had a couple pairs of overalls and two more nice outfits on the ship. That would bring her wardrobe to 2 sets of work clothes, everyday clothes, armor, and 4 'nice but unremarkable' ensembles.

'Cross' |

Cross is going to pick up two sets of 'professional' clothing for Rollo, Mal, MLE, and Zen. They're 5 credits a piece so it is a grand total of 40 credits. The profession in question is commercial ship's crew. What I'm imagining is something akin to business casual wear with a slightly uniform look that is modified for the rigors of space travel. If the three people most likely to hang around Jin look like they are part of a semi-professional entourage, they are less likely to draw attention.
Amaryst has her own wardrobe, Jin is fine standing out a bit for our cover, and Cross will take Kev out later for some shopping.

leinathan |

Yes, of course.
Feel free to RP on the station for as long as you're satisfied by, but do let me know when you're ready to move on, and where you'd like to go.
Anyone with any particular interests should nominate a place, and then we can perform a majority vote.
You decide if Rollo, Korvan, and K-Van get a vote.
After you leave the station, there will be no, "actually, I purchased XXYYZZ earlier". If you don't do any shopping now, you lose the opportunity to until the next time you come to a merchant.

Maldor Brock |

If he can pick up a Medkit or a few Healing serums and a survival knife, Maldor will...

leinathan |

When we get loot, you need to be responsible for tracking it, please. I would prefer to double-check your acquisitions than to track everything for you.
That said, each person got a personal stake of 600 credits, and there are just over 8,000 credits in the group fund.

leinathan |

Oh, and if you're buying things, please be explicit and specific about what you're buying. Please have a Gameplay post where you say "ok I go to this shop and buy it" as well as a Discussion post where you're like "ok I bought an autotarget rifle (x credits), 60 rounds of ammunition (y credits) and one mk 1 healing serum (z credits). I have W credits remaining."
A basic medkit is level 1, and costs 100 credits.
A medpatch is level 1 as well, and cost 50 credits each.
Only mk 1 healing serums are available here, as mk 2 healing serums are a level 5 item. Mk 1 healing serums are 50 credits each.
As I said, any item of item level 4 or lower is available at this station.

Amaryst Geil |

You mean this post?
That's the one. Thanks. Search wouldn't find sink hole or various spellings of Khal.

I think any healing items Maldor wants should come out of the group fund. I'll chip in on those purchases if the group as a whole doesn't agree.
Via Rollo, Amayst buys a battery (60 units) and 30 rounds (40 units).
If the group wants I'll track the common fund OOC. It's not something Amaryst would want to do in character. She'd want everyone to have access.
Hazrond, after the alley fight, Jin scooped up a pulsecaster and the boss thug's cestus. Any plans for those?

Maldor Brock |

Mal already has a medkit (basic); an injection gun (for medicinals); two vials of analgesic for field surgery; and two canisters of sprayflesh. Thought another medkit and some healing serums would be wise purchases...
So recommend purchasing a spare medkit and a handful of serums (four?) That will be 300 creds total from the group fund.
Out of his own pocket, Maldor purchases a survival knife (95) and the clothes from Cross (5), leaving him 500 credits.

Hazrond |

Wasn't a cestus, was a Thunderstrike gauntlet. A sonic weapon. I planned to keep it.
As for the pulsecaster, I could part with it, but having a nonlethal backup is always nice.
Sorry for being a bit slow this week, im in a bit of a slump and i can't really think of anything offhand Jin would actually want to buy.

therealthom |

Gold star, Amaryst!
Alright, if you don't want to buy anything, the next step is a majority vote on where to go next.
Thanks, guys! I couldn't have gotten that gold star without you!

This is a fun game. Thank you all for playing, and double thanks to leinathan for running it.

...
That's cool. I had a little interest in the gauntlet, but A had other priorities just after the fight. Better get them on your sheet.

therealthom |

Guys, is it ok if we use gaelic for the lashunta (Castrovelli) language? I don't think anyone had set a language before, but I might have missed it. If there's a declared precedent I will conform to that.
I probably murdered the translation for roinnt. There's a number of translations offered for it. I had started with 'sharing' in English.

Amaryst Geil |

At Tau Ceti -- group loot 7700 credits.
Spare medkit
4 healing serums.
We should spread the serums around. Amaryst had one already. Whos' in need?

leinathan |

They took both the bot and the hovercraft.
Lashunta is currently set to romanian, but as the party's lashunta party member, I wouldn't mind if you switch.
I still need to go back and see what Zenvisk used for Shirren so that I can record it in campaign info.
Currently, there are actually 8,575 credits in the communal fund (it was just over 8800, and then Maldor spent 300). I will edit that and add the group healing items in a second.
