I would not bring that 5th in until this arc is complete.
Part of the slow post rate is due to trying to maneuver two groups to be in the same location at the same time. That will not happen again until both groups are around 8th to 10th level. :-) Plus the World Series distracting me, plus the election distracting me plus some long hours I have logged at work lately due to missing time for injuries.
This adventure sets up BOTH Tables for the future though your paths lead one group to stay in Sharn and the other group to leave Sharn which is why I had to pace you both a certain way.
Now that we are here I am hoping PC and DM posting rates will tick up a bit.

Just to get it out there, I'm super leery of the groups crossing swords. Been trying to avoid that ICly.
As am I. This should be a cooperative effort though I don't want to lead the characters down any certain path I think there is a middle ground that can be found once the two groups interact and determine how each got to this point...

Welcome New Players:
Xetovia Phlogiston Here4daFreeSwag - Human Vampire Hunter.
Toolbox Helikon - Warforged Artificer.
Dev Blake DeviousDevious - Human Wilder.
Invisidot into the Gameplay thread then delete that post. That will bring you into the Campaign as a player. Your Table is Table II which is the Discussion thread. Once you have all signed in I'll give a few more days for you to ask questions before we proceed.
The rest of the group is in another thread with Table I. I will bring you three into the plot separately and you will meet up with them once the sidequest is completed.

I am taking liberties with those of you who had no backstory so I can assimilate you easily into the adventure.
Will have the first post for your group up tonight. The others in your group are still detained elsewhere you will meet with them soon enough but I wanted to get you all rolling.
Those liberties sounds good to me. :)

@Dev Blake and GM the Dragon Below/Pierce:
When Dev Blake made the headlines in the Sharn Gazette, was he referred to in a colorful nickname, like, maybe the Wild Jewelsmith (as an example, nothing binding); sort of like how DC's Superman is known as the Man of Steel to the Daily Planet or Marvel's Spiderman as a Wall-Crawling Menace, courtesy of the Daily Bugle. And what would be the Knowledge Local DC's to know this fact, if Dev wishes to utilize on this some more?
Was just this wild thought that came to my "fevered" mind with all that stuff with the Sharn Gazette...

Heh funny idea :-)

ha, I'm not sure if I'm famous enough to merit it, but I'll roll with whatever the GM wants to do as far as newspaper headlines.
RE: the Lord of Blades, I can't make the DC 11 roll untrained, so I won't have heard about him, unfortunately.
Next run of the Gazette I'll see what I can do :-)

Good to hear about that upcoming Gazette news. ;)

@Dev: Pretty sweet workshop there. :)
@Tool-box: It'll be a neat element when your warforged gets accused of favoring "organics" over his own. ;)
@GM the Dragon Below: Heh, wonder what sort of scandal could our Lady find herself in when her latest entourage consists of a young craftsman, a warforged, and a young lady in some nonstandard Silver Flame outfit? ;p

@Dev Blake: Yeah, somehow ended up tripping the "anti-babaji" defense-grid and gotten myself totally disintegrated by them orbital lasers; luckily, a quick seance with Customer Service later, I was able to be wholly reconstituted again, just in time for my latest postings (a quick shout out and thanks to Sharaya, of course). :)
@GM the Dragon Below: Good to hear. :)

Xetovia, Tool-Box and Dev - get in any last RP you wish to by Thirsday evening (EST time) as I will then move the action forward.
Note that you will temporarily be stepping into another thread for that scenario and I will link you all to it.
Good to hear, GM the Dragon Below; hopefully, we'll be meeting up with the other table/groups without too much trouble. ;)
Just as a minor aside (it shouldn't really affect anything ultimately), I was just wondering, should I retcon the background part about how the Argent Anthracites/Thrane might've spearheaded the development of Qadiran Silversheen special material with the discovery made in the Forgotten Forge thread with the Silversheen axe?
It does make more in-world sense that House Cannith possesses the requisite crafting knowledge to make the material for Silversheen (as proven with the other group hired by the houses).
Alternately, both viewpoints could be considered "true" in so much that the ancient House Cannith pioneered the creation of the Silversheen material, which the Thranish theocracy/Anthracites could've then "claimed" with the loss of Cyre; kind of like the real-life situation where Nazi Germany's rocketry tech ended up benefiting both the U.S.A.'s and the then existing Soviet Union's respective space programs. ;)
Whichever way you would prefer to have it, I'm fine with either of your ruling on this matter with the origin of the silversheen material.
P.S. Come to think of it, it was never defined in the Qadira sourcebooks (to my own knowledge) as having any outward qualities for differentiating it from your bog standard alchemical silver. Would this hold true for this Eberron game as well or do they have enough subtle differences between the two special materials that somebody who knows of both materials could figure out which is which?

Actually, now that I've had time to mull things over, it's not really actual background material with the Anthracite/Ancient Cannith/Silversheen stuff; it's more like an unofficial head-canon than anything, so I'm not really all that "married" to the concept.
I figured that it would help inform how Xetovia might react to a certain Minotaur in the other group. Come to think of it, the same could theoretically apply with how a certain Elf in the other group might react upon discovering that Xetovia has a Targath machete on her person. :)

Alchemical Silver must be forged into the metal.
Silver Sheen is a temporary use item that gives silver properties.
That the Cannith made Silver Sheen weapons is more due to the process that they used more than anything else. Consider it a difference that ONLY a Metallurgist or someone who uses silver with frequency would care about.
