Reinar does not crit doing 20 HP of damage to the undead dwarf. It is destroyed. The soul chain and hammer fall to the ground. We remain in initiative. The burning embers remain airborne. Each link of the chain shows the shadowy visage of its trapped soul, its face twisted in a silent scream of horror.

Zevon Vierding |
Zevon gives the forge a wide berth, making his way to Cirthana. The wand flashes in her direction.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
It seems that this chain still binds souls in torment. Are we able to free them so they may find peace?

Destroy the chain and the souls will be released at long last.

Reinar then drops down on his knees, panting.
"That was tiring..."
Rage over
Kerrdremak |
As you exit the tunnel Kerrdremak addresses Reinar "Future king, you entered with the battleaxe of Glintaxe, did you not? Did the forge spurned destroy it? The king has an even better battleaxe that will be your prize for his defeat. It is +1 and human bane. He calls it Manfeller."
Reinar Rolstad |
"Thanks, I'll make good use of it.", he says to Rhen, inspecting the hammer.
As they exit the tunnel.
"Yes, we met the fake ghost earlier and i lost his axe fighting the forge spurned. I don't exactly know what you mean by +1 or human bane, but this Manfeller axe sounds like a nice trophy."
Lady Cirthana of Iomedae |
Cirthana gathers up her soap, hairbrush, and perfume and leaves the room. She is gone for quite some time. When she returns she is soaking wet but clean and carrying the full plate. She wears a loose white shirt, brown pants and boots. She sets the plate against the wall to dry and dons her chain shirt. She works with Edgrin and the children to get them as comfortable as possible. "I will be glad to take watch at any time. I suppose you already have that worked out by now."
Kerrdremak |
Day 5 the sun rises at 6:00. 12 days to full moon
"There are two bloodscale warriors mounted on slurks below. I wish to use diplomacy to get them to join me. We need a plan should that fail. The makeshift elevator will only hold 600 lbs. The shaft drops 30 feet down into a large, mostly square chamber."
Rhen Vemsa |
"Be ye sendin' the children home or be they staying them them Kobolds" Rhen shudders a little at mentioning them "I will also be goin' down the elevator first with ye."
Rhen pulls out his sword and waits for the others
Kerrdremak |
"I suppose some of you could hide in the cauldron while I parley. I will need to know how much each of you weigh. We could get more down if I go first with some of my men and you are lowered while I take my time turning them to our side."
Kerrdremak |
"Obey the humans until I return. Long live the Truescales."
"I will whisper when we are ready for you. Remember, 600 lbs. No more."
Kerrdremak takes the bloodscale and other kobolds down below. He leaves enough behind to operate the elevator.
Kerrdremak |
Kerrdremak attempts to turn the bloodscales.
He starts with a bluff to make his diplomacy easier.

diplomacy V DC 15 kobold 1: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Kerrdremak can feel the crown on his head.
"Zevon, you may peacefully enter. They have joined us. Order the remaining warriors to man the elevator until our return."
