Kibbo and Jarrdreg pick the valuables off the bugbears. They return to camp with 9 javelins, 3 morning stars, 3 leather armors, an axe, 3 light wooden shields and 4 days of trail rations. They offer the treasure to anyone who wants it. Cirthana takes 3 javelins. Kimi takes a light wooden shield. Edgrin takes 3 javelins.
Day 7 the sun rises at 6:00. You have 8 hours of travel time. 10 days to full moon.
You have to wait nearly an hour for Kimi and Cirthana to finish their grooming before heading out.
Bulgard attempts to locate the tracks left by Milon. DC 16
You pass the sticks that Rhen stuck in the ground out of frustration after the Jeva encounter. You see the remnants of your campfire. You have traveled all you can today. You know it is just another day to town. As you begin to set up camp, Jeva comes running out of the woods with arms held wide and her doll in one hand. She is headed for Rhen.
"Rhen! Rhen!" When she gets to him, she gives him a big hug and says "I missed you! Got any more of that tack?" She jumps up and down in anticipation, clapping her hands as the doll is flung back and forth. She seems to have a several new scars. .
Welcome back, girl. Cirthana, do you kn-know of any way to cure lycanthropy? This girl turned in our presence and damn near killed us all.
He looks at Jeva.
Do you understand that we will have to take measures to protect everyone while you are near us?
Kimi walks up to the little girl. "Hi. I'm Kimi. You look like you have been out here a while."
Ignoring Bulfard Jeva replies "Hi. I'm Jeva. You're pretty. Yes, my house burned down and I stay here with Annie now. He would not let me go with them. Made me stay by myself in the woods. I woke up and they were gone." She holds up the ragged doll and points at Zevon.
Savram joins the girls "Kimi, can you fix her up?"
Mikra just looks at her, mouth breathing and says "Wow.....Awe..."
Kimi responds "I sure can. Let's get you fixed up. Show me where the water is." She gets the soap and hairbrush from Cirthana. The two girls run off hand in hand towards Jeva's water source. "We'll be right back!"
"Elara came to me for help. I am very aware of the situation. No one knows if it is natural or afflicted in this case. So far, everyone bitten has been killed. We hopefully decided to proceeded as if it were afflicted. At first, I thought the only two methods to cure an afflicted would be far too expensive and well out of reach. Then, one of the followers at the church heard of a case where adventurers passing through Shudderwood were able to cure one of their own. They were able to use the spell Remove Curse when the afflicted was transformed. He was cured. That spell is not out of reach. It can be cast for a quite reasonable price. Sharvaros Vade is the only person in Falcon's Hollow who may even remotely be able to cast that spell. He and I have a history. I suspect him of necromancy based on things I have heard. He suspects I know far more than I do. So, we avoid each other as much as possible. Him doing me a favor, even after returning Savram would most likely be futile. Oregent is two days by horse from Falcon's Hollow and large enough to have someone capable of casting that spell. As the followers happen to travel there, they are asking and reporting back to me."
The two girls return about a half an hour later. Jeva has been bathed, her hair combed, and she wears Kimi's jacket. It is a little large for her. The tattered dress has apparently been discarded. "Jeva is an orphan. She survived the fire. Who here can take her in? My mom and I don't have much but we could keep her fed. Jurin, would your dad treat her good? I'm not so sure."
Jurin tells Kimi. "Pretty sure he would say no. Not the best place for a little girl anyway. What about the Hebbradans? Yes! She could look after Mikra and I go over there almost every day to read to him. I'll ask Mr. Hebbradan when we get back."
"Bulgard Merkenkin, it just dawned on me... what you said earlier. You fought her in werewolf form? Was anyone bitten?"
As Jeva comes running towards Rhen his smile gets large, he tries to hide it in his beard though.
"I thought ye gone lass" Rhen's hands move her hair back so he can inspect her new scars.
"What gave ye these lass? Twasn't us was it?" Rhen gives Jeva some tack once she has returned from her bath, taking the girl up onto his shoulders and carrying her along as they return.
"Don't know. It was there when I woke up one morning. You would never hurt me and that nice man, Bulgard, said no one would ever hurt me again. Thank you for the tack!"
Zevon steps forward, giving the wolfling a wide berth.
Indeed lady. I was. We encountered the girl en route to the Crucible
"Oh, Zevon Vierding, this is cause for concern. We must watch you carefully and take precautions in just nine short days. More reason to hope she is afflicted and more reason to have a spellcaster available by then. Oh, and we made a deal to trade wands of cure light wounds while you were unconscious. I feel badly for that. Here." She hands you your wand while giving you that glowing smile that is a little more glowing than usual.
"Does Lady Touchy-Feely needs assisties with armor?"
"Call me that again and I will sell you to the Lumber Consortium. And, yes, please"
Kibbo covers Jarrdreg's mouth. Jarrdreg pushes Kibbo away and quickly says "Okay, Lady...Cut-em-up."
Reinar trips and falls on his face. The children all break out in laughter.

Cirthana says "You spend far too much time prone, Reinar Rolstad."
Jeva is the happiest she can ever recall riding Rhen's shoulders. "Take me over there Rhen! This is fun!"
The adults have managed to keep their conversations away from the children. Plans for the night need to be made.
Rhen moves around with the girl, after a bit Rhen will put Jeva down and go and help with setting up the camp.
Zevon nods and takes the wand.
I agree, precautions are to be made. Perhaps I can speak with Master Vade. After all, if I am afflicted it was in the course of effecting the rescue of his son. That would also avoid any unnecessary entanglements for you, Lady. Barring that, I may make for Oregent if time allows. If it does not, then perhaps I can arrange for temporary confinement in the case that I am indeed cursed. Matters that can be discussed at length tomorrow, more pressing now is I will take last watch.
Zevon busies himself with the camp preparations. Once all are fed and secure, he will treat the children to a campfire story or two before drifting off to sleep.
Cirthana will take the first watch.
Bulgard posts his fox to watch and snoozes.
The night passes without incident.

As you get close to town, Kimi says "You should go to my house first, then Hollin and Mikra and Jurin and Savram. That's the fastest way. Savram can show you the way."
When you get to town Edgrin says " Thank you all for the help with these children. And myself as well. If you ever need anything just ask. Fare thee well."
Kimi’s mother, Kitani, opens the door. She cannot seem take her eyes off Reinar who saved her daughter. She is a beautiful and charming raven-haired half-elf obviously well practiced in seduction. She manages to get close enough to Reinar to whisper
Hollin’s older sister, a beautiful young red-haired woman named Ralla answers the door.
"Oh Hollin, you're okay!" She gives him a big hug. When she looks up at rest of you she recognizes Reinar. She blushes red as a beet and covers her gaping mouth to hide her surprise, her wide eyes cannot be hidden. She turns around briefly, composes herself and says "Thank you so much! What can I do for you in return?" She looks about and ponders, still flushed. "Dinner. Would you care for dinner? I think I have enough. I will need to check the pantry."
"Rogue Lady...rents women. Volume discounts."
Lady Cirthana of Iomedae gives Reinar a look that, well, if looks could kill he would be dead. She does not blink nor give him mercy. Her eyes attempt to burn holes in his soul. "No need to check the pantry, child. We must be moving on." She says so without taking her eyes off of Reinar.
As they head to drop off Mikra Cirthana addresses Reinar Rolstad. "Am I the only female in Falcon's Hollow that is safe from your presence, Reinar Rolstad? You must worship Gorum and or Cayden Cailean. Perhaps you should seek the virtue of Iomedae, if there is any in you."
When they get to Mikra's house, Cirthana smiles and looks at Reinar "Reinar Rolstad, I fear a female may be behind this door. Do you as well?"
Mikra's father answers the door. He is overjoyed to see his son. " May I show my gratitude with what I do best. Meat is on the house for the lot of you at my butcher shop from here on out."
When you get to Jurin's house and knock a peephole opens on the door. "We are expecting no visitors at this time. Be on your way." The peephole closes.
"Open the door, Harthan, it is me, Jurin."
The butler/bodyguard opens the door, welcomes master Jurin, and takes you to see Thuldrin Kreed. Thuldrin is very appreciative. He calls for his accountant who returns with 5 large pouches. One is given to each of you. Each holds 200 platinum pieces. You are thanked again and escorted to the door.
No one initially answers the door at Savram's house.
Savram says "He is probably working very hard on something really complicated and did not hear us." He knocks again loudly.
The door opens. Vade is bony and thin, with gray eyes and an unkempt black beard. He is glad to see his son. He thanks you and puts his hand on the door to close it.
Zevon steps forward and puts his boot in front of the door.
Master Vade, might I trouble you for a moment? I am Zevon Vierding. While I undertook the mission to rescue these children from the clutches of horrors from underground warrens without thought of return compensation, I fear I have a minor request of you. In executing this rescue, I fear I may have fell afoul of a supernatural ailment, and it has been mentioned that you may be of the skill to alleviate this curse. Is this true?
He looks down at the boot blocking his door. He gives Zevon an irritated look. He naturally looks grumpy and tired to begin with. "Supernatural ailment, curse. You speak in odd terms, Vierding. I know nothing of what you speak. Thank you again for returning my son. I am sorry you have suffered. Surely it will heal with time. I have work to tend to if you will excuse me."
Unfortunately, time is something I may not have. While traveling to find your son, we were beset by a were-creature. I fear I was bitten. We do not yet if I am afflicted, but the moon is waxing gibbous and I do not wish to find out. Now, as I said I hate to even ask, but if you know of any method that will lead to my salvation I humbly request your aid. Not as your son's rescuer, but as one in need.
Sharvaros' expression turns to a slight grin. "I am not one to help those because of their needs. I would help you for rescuing my son, however. Lycanthropy, to the best of my knowledge, can only be cured by a very experienced cleric within three days of the bite. I am no cleric, sir. I would help you if I could." He rubs his chin as he concentrates on other ways to address this. "Hmmm....A miracle or a wish might cure you of this. Those two spells are well beyond my powers and the cost is exorbitant with no guarantee of success."
Reinar is surprised by the ladies reaction, its a harsh contrast from being publicly booed for trying to save a village. He answers Cirthana.
"What? Did I do anything wrong? I assure, you, Lady Cirthana, you're the only one I have eyes on right now, and as you said, you're safe from my presence, aren't you?", he winks. "I currently worship no gods, for I rather depend on my own power and grow it through practice. I've heard very little of Iomedae or Cayden Cailean back home, though Gorum has a small altar on my village."
As they arrive at Savram's house, Reinar waits in silence.
