Laro Farfeet |
Laro watches Kimi leave and after she is out of sight he says "She was 30 seconds from being hogtied. That one is going to be trouble and not the good kind. Let's head to the house. You want me to scout ahead or should we stay as a group as this is currently a "social call"
Albus Wodeward |
Albus replies to Laro, "Maybe, Master Laro, but I do believe that if given strong guidance Kimi need not be a terror, just stubborn and headstrong. As to scouting, I think that is a good idea, if you are not seen then Aelerie and I could be visiting recently lost friends at their graves, in what little free time we have these day. Since we happen to be here, just checking in on how is our recent rescued child is doing, out of concern for the horrible things she went through, is excuse enough."

Laro nods and heads off into the graveyard. Keeping to the shadows and moving headstone to headstone he makes his way toward the house and tries to peek inside.
Stealth: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 24
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
Laro Farfeet |
Laro turns back to the group and shrugs and shakes his head. He then points at the barn and with their consent moves toward it.
Stealth: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12
Albus Wodeward |
Albus nods at Laro, waving at the barn with a go ahead gesture. From the graves Albus looks and listens to tell if anyone or anything is around.
Perception: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 18 +4 if human, +2 if reptilian humanoid,+2 If in forest.
Albus Wodeward |
Albus goes to where his family is buried to pay respects but says quietly to Aelerie, "I can't hear or see anyone around, that's odd where else would our friendly gravedigger be at this time?"
Albus Wodeward |
Albus starts at Javell's comment after his long quietness. He whispers back, "I feel that too, lets quietly look around for tracks, see if anything leads out of this area oddly."
Albus follows suit quietly moving from graves to other reasonable graves (recent dead, his or his friends relatives etc), while trying to see if any tracks lead out of the area, in an unlikely way.
Survival(Tracking): 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (16) + 16 = 32 +4 if human, +2 if reptilian humanoid, +2 if in forest.
GM Stargin |
Albus' sense of nature has started to border on the supernatural. He can tell that the area of the graveyard with tombstones has seen a fair amount of traffic. Many people in Falcon's Hallow have people they want to pay respects too after all.
The other areas of the graveyard has had far less activity as would be expected. Albus is able to identify the quick steps of a child and the slower shuffles of an old man. It makes sense that would be Savra and her father respectively.
These marks go all over the place including to the barn, and the house. The steps of the older human are fresher than those of the child which are a few days old The tracks of the older human that go into the house are the freshest.
There's also a few other, very occasional and older marks that are also human, but of someone that might be crippled in some way. There's some shuffling and dragging.
Albus Wodeward |
Albus remarks quietly to the others, "Most of the tracks are as to be expected but those common of a child and an old man's walk that go in and out of the house are interesting because the child's cease to be around here a few days ago but the older human's are fairly fresh entering the house. Also a few, rare and older marks, apparently human but seem crippled with shuffling and dragging steps that are about, not sure what that's about."
Albus will head quietly towards the barn when Laro signals, keeping his senses sharp along the way.
Perception: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (14) + 16 = 30 +4 if human, +2 if reptilian humanoid,+2 If in forest. Yep Albus track and perception bonuses are the same, just works out that way. I may have over done my min-maxing :)
Stealth: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (11) + 16 = 27 +2 If in forest, no tracks left if desired.
sorry boo boo there stealth bonus is only 10 so minus 6 to the result, I'm not Laro!
Laro Farfeet |
Laro head snaps sharply toward Albus when he mentions the other tracks, "You said shuffling and dragging steps?!? That doesn't sound like crippled but like undead to me! Call me paranoid but I'm in a cemetery and we've had too many run ins with undead. Let's check this barn and then the house. We should find him there from what you have said."
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20
Albus Wodeward |
Albus eyes widen in surprise at Laro's word. He starts his reply with a bit of snark, "You're paranoid, Master Laro." But then Albus recovers a bit and says, "Much as I hate the thought of these holy grounds so desecrated you may be right, it just didn't occur to me" Albus waves at the barn, "Please scout out this and if there is no one we'll investigate."
