NEW RULE: FAVORS:
Season of Factions’ Favor introduces a new type of support card: favors. Certain scenarios place favors into the blessings deck. When that card is discarded from the blessings deck, do what it says. If a favor would be encountered or removed from the blessings deck discard pile, banish it instead.

RULES: TRADERS:
In Season of Factions’ Favor, traders work differently than in Mummy’s Mask, in the following ways.
• When you are rewarded with a trader, instead of checking it off on the Bazaar card, record it on your Chronicle sheet.
• You do not visit traders after winning a scenario. Instead, at the start of each scenario in this Adventure Path, before setting out the locations, you may visit 1 trader you have recorded on your Chronicle sheet.
• Pay the trade cost with the usual number and type of cards from your deck, but instead of putting those cards in the box, put 1 in to your deck box and bury any others.
• At the end of the scenario, return the card you traded for to the game box, and put the card you returned to your deck box back into your deck.
For example, to pay the trade cost to a trader offering spells at a cost of 2 boons, put 1 of those boons into your deck box, bury the other boon, then add the spell to your deck. At the end of the scenario, return the spell to the game box and put the first boon back in your deck.

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

Oh right.

boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 12

The Concordance

Question: Rahali is Tier 3. I assume this means she can select AD4 cards from her box. Correct?
Is so, can she select a Teir 4 card reward and get a AD3 card from her box? Really want an item 3, however the loot was two * Item 4

Link to Deck Handler ; Cleric 6 ; Looking For: Spell 6 -> Spell 6 -> Blessing 6 -> Ally 6 -> Item 6 -> Armor 6

Zarlova wants Spell 4. Seems like with 3 spell 4's and one person wanting an item, shouldn't be a problem.

(Inflict -> Cloudburst)

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

Don't forget your boon roll.

Assuming that Eruption was acquired and not the loot card then yes Rahali item 4 the rest of us spell 4 should work. Unless Enora wants item 4 instead of spell 4.

So Grazzle would replace Ghost Whip with Channel the Gift.

As for capital L Loot I would like replace Aqueous Orb with Eruption and Druid of the Flame with Maftet Hunter.

My issue is that Rahali is currently Tier 3 and technically can have AD4 cards in her deck (unless that was our 4th scenario, which I don't think it was)

Ideally I am hoping to be able to choose Item 4 and replace it with an Item 3 instead, otherwise I will have to take a Spell 3

I rolled for my card upgrades over in the Gameplay thread. I don't think anyone is fighting me on the Blessing 4 though, are they?

You're correct that you can't have Tier 4 cards in your deck, but you're free to take one of the Item 4's and use it to get an Item 3 from your box instead.

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

Well that makes things simple.

Zarlova spell 4
Grazzle spell 4
Rahali item 4
Enora blessing 4

Any objections to Grazzle using the Loots Eruption and Maftet Hunter?

Great! Item 4 becomes Wand of Flying (AD3)

Would be keen to use the other loot ally if no one else wants, and the Goldern Serpent armband, and the elemental skin.... Boy, Rahali is a bit greedy for shinies :-)
Happy to let someone else have the ally or spell if they want. Just super keen for the item as it becomes a recharge for 1d4+4 on a lot of checks for me

All good from my side

I updated the google sheet in the campaign header. It is still linked under "Traders", but it contains a few more things now. The idea is to let us all us this collaboratively.

Turn Order
I keep forgetting to update it in the header. So I've put it on the sheet instead. That way you guys can move it around as you see fit. Also, the names there populate in drop downs on other tabs, so that's helpful.

Traders
Unchanged. Which traders you have access to and any discounts are recorded here.

Replacement Cards
I went through and found every card you might get during Season of Factions' Favor and listed it here. Besides the card info, there are columns to indicate if you've earned that reward and also who is using it each scenario.

Let me know if you guys find this helpful or not. When you try to access the sheet if you don't have edit permission yet, request them and I'll grant them.

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

Turns out an ally that allows you to refresh your hand is crazy good when you can recharge cards to examine.

Female gnome Arcanist | Tier 4.5

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of the allies in Mummy's Mask that let you refill your hand mid-turn. There are a couple of them. :)

Is this our 4th Scenario? If so, Rahali would like to Tier up to Tier 4, allowing me a total of
4th Scenario - Card feat
Teir 4 - Role Card + Power Feat - Is this correct?

Boon 1 or 20: 1d20 ⇒ 17

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 13

I think I need to replace one of my utility spells with an attack spell.
I'm having too many hands with no attacks.

I think I keep both of the healing spells and Channel the Gift is great. Find Traps comes up a lot and can be searched up with Channel to help someone else with barriers.
That leaves

Fire Snake - Use my divine skill 1d8 +7 in place of any other non combat check.

A good spell to be sure, Especially when combined with a blessing for 3d8. But something has to give.

If this is our 4th adventure I will add a blessing.
Debating between
Blessing of Sivanah - Add 2 dice to an intelligence or charisma non-combat check.
or
Blessing of Isis - Add 2 dice to an intelligence check or any check that invokes the acid or construct trait.

Isis will add to int based checks which should include attacks by Rahali or Enora. But also many barriers are constructs and some enemies are acid so it seems pretty versatile.

The Concordance

Deck handler link

Most of Rahalis combat will now be Dex checks as she is going up to tier 4, taking a role and the Dex+2d8 combat power
May be add a spell instead of a blessing, that way you could keep fire snake and add an AD2 combat spell. We don't seem to have trouble with time / support so a blessing is a bit of a win more in my mind

1 person marked this as a favorite.

It's in the second tab in the traders link. A level 4 item, At the end of your turn you recharge it, recharge any number of cards in your hand, refresh your hand, then search your deck for a spell.

Incorrect, in this case it just means you can pick a second card from the upgrade pool and use it. The reward has to specify that you draw a card from the box in order for you to draw from your class deck box.

So, what happens with this reward is you choose a type:

Weapon
Spell
Armor
Item
Ally
Blessing

Then I draw a random card of that type from the game box (not your class deck) that doesn't have the Basic trait. It gets added to the Upgrade Pool. If you choose spell, it could be anything from Spell B to Spell 4. Same thing with weapon, armor, etc.

Then, once we've added the 4 cards to the pool, you each get to pick two upgrades instead of the normal 1.

Ah. Then yes I choose spell.

Was this our 3rd scenario or our 4th?

This was the fourth, so you get a card feat if it was your fourth scenario in tier.

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

Ah. Then I'm adding another blessing to my deck.

Item 3 and Spell 4 so far. This was a replay for Enora, so she can't choose nor can she take the bonus upgrade (just the regular). So I just need to draw a card for Rahali.

Just to expand on what is happening here, when a scenario says "Game Box" it means the box we are running the game from. Here is the rule from the guide:

Card Guild Guide wrote:

The Box

Adventure Card Guild players each have a Class Deck box in addition to the game box. When anything refers to “the box,” it always means the game box, except in the case of rewards. If a reward refers simply to “the box,” in Adventure Card Guild play, it means your Class Deck box. If a reward refers to the “game box,” it means the game box.

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

I'm not usually the greed guy for loot but I can't help but think a combination of Eruption, Maftet Hunter for the hand refresh, and Mythopoeic Sphinx to search my deck for a spell, Along with Channel the Gift would give me enough access to a great attack spell that I could keep all of my utility spells.

Works for me. Love having the super heals so noissues with tooling grazzle up

I would like the same loot I had last time if possible

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

So assuming everyone is okay with it here is my plan.

Card feat: Another blessing. Sivanah (Blessing 1 +2 dice to intelligence or charisma non-combat)
Upgrade 1: Spell 4 Upgrading Ghost Whip to Divine Blaze.
Upgrade 2: Blessing 3 Upgrading Blessing of Pharasma B to Blessing of Milani (Blessing 3 +2 dice to Dexterity or Wisdom non-combat)

Loot exchanges
Trading out Holy Javelin for Eruption
Trading out Druid of the Flame for Maftet Hunter
Trading out Wand of Detect Magic for Mythopoeic Sphinx

Oh and I'm staying at tier 4.

The Concordance

@Grazzle. Works for me.
Looks like we have no contention on the othe picks. Enora and zarlova get their choices.
Rahali gets Spell 4 and blessing 2

NOTE: I am travelling today and offline for about 18hrs

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

At the end of your turn, recharge this card to recharge any number of cards in your hand then reset your hand. Then you may search your deck for a spell and draw it.

Is that in addition to the usual resetting of my hand at the end of my turn or part of it?

Female gnome Arcanist | Tier 4.5

Hmm... I had always assumed it was part of your normal hand reset, but reading it now, I'm not entirely sure. I'll ask Keith. Is that on Mythopoeic Sphinx?

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

Yes.

Lone Shark Games

Just one reset. You recharge any number of cards. Then after you reset your hand, you can search for and draw a spell.
