NEW RULE: FAVORS:
Season of Factions’ Favor introduces a new type of support card: favors. Certain scenarios place favors into the blessings deck. When that card is discarded from the blessings deck, do what it says. If a favor would be encountered or removed from the blessings deck discard pile, banish it instead.

RULES: TRADERS:
In Season of Factions’ Favor, traders work differently than in Mummy’s Mask, in the following ways.
• When you are rewarded with a trader, instead of checking it off on the Bazaar card, record it on your Chronicle sheet.
• You do not visit traders after winning a scenario. Instead, at the start of each scenario in this Adventure Path, before setting out the locations, you may visit 1 trader you have recorded on your Chronicle sheet.
• Pay the trade cost with the usual number and type of cards from your deck, but instead of putting those cards in the box, put 1 in to your deck box and bury any others.
• At the end of the scenario, return the card you traded for to the game box, and put the card you returned to your deck box back into your deck.
For example, to pay the trade cost to a trader offering spells at a cost of 2 boons, put 1 of those boons into your deck box, bury the other boon, then add the spell to your deck. At the end of the scenario, return the spell to the game box and put the first boon back in your deck.

@Grazzle,
Totally understand! I was confused myself and had to check things a couple of times.
Having the two Obelisks next to each other is a bit unfortunate

Any chance of scenario update before I go? Getting harder and harder for me during the holiday times to keep track, apologies.

I'm updating now...

Grazzle,
how much anti curse do you have?
Donyou have a spell that cures two curses?
If not,
I can discard staff of curses and a spell to remove Zarlovas curse at the end of his turn, then you could heal me
Let me know if I should go ahead with that

Zarlova just got cursed so she is a better candidate. Mine is a minor nuisance at most.

Edit: And by mine I mean the sphinx one. Curse of Fevered Dreams sucks.

OK, I don't have the curse wording on me

I have banished one curse so you guys work out between you whether it is Grazzle's Curse of Fevered Dreams or Zarlova's Curse of Fevered Dreams

Well that was an interesting turn

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

It may be awhile before Hawkmoon checks in so to help us pick our upgrades I think this is a correct list of our acquired cards.

Weapon 5 - Iceblade Spelldagger
Blessing 5 - Blessing of the Lady of Graves
Spell 2 =- Corrosion

Spell B - Good Omen
Ally B - Fire Gecko
Blessing B - Blessing of the Ancients

Maybe I should have held off closing. I thought we had more loot then that.

Weirdly I'm eyeing the level 5 upgrades for exactly what they are. Either weapon 5 to upgrade to Iceblade Spelldagger or blessing 5 to upgrade to Blessing of the Lady of Graves.

The weapon doesn't matter to me. It would just be upgrading so it doesn't get wasted. If one of you have a good blessing 5 I'm fine with passing on the blessing.

Tier 4.4
- Card Feat (Blessing)
- Blessing of Nethys in

I can't use the Tier 5 cards, so you can divy them up.
If we find Spell 4, Ally 4, or Item 4, I am keen on those

Also no problems on the early Win. Not a great scenario and I am keen to move on.

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

This is my 3rd scenario at tier 5 so no feats. Pretty sure Zarlova doesn't need the weapon 5 but she cleaned up on upgrades during the special so she might not need the blessing either.

Actually I think I would rather run Blessing of the Seventh Veil which is a blessing 4. And if I'm downgrading the blessing and Zarlova doesn't need it then you may as well take it.

It is a lot of dice rolling but Blessing of the Savored Sting is pretty good. Or of course you could add Blessing of the Seventh Veil to your deck.

And apparently one of the scenario rewards is access to a troll spell called Vision.

The Concordance

Deck handler link

So you take Weapon 5
If Zarlova doesn't want the blessing, then I will take it
- Pharasma out, Blessing of the Savored Sting (4) in

If Zarlova does want the blessing, I will pass and let him have it

Blessing of the Lady of Graves was REALLY underwhelming as it does not actually have an explore. I think BoSS is much better

I think Vision is a bit of a dicy spell, as you are trading knowing whether a Villain is in a location or not vs a bunch of time blessings... don't think I would like to play that.
What are your thoughts re vision?

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

Notice I called it a troll spell. I don't think it is worth playing. Putting aside all the triggers you might hit you might lose as many turns as you save.

I wasn't sure what you meant by troll spell :-)

But, I totally agree with your thoughts

Cool, so it looks like it all works with Grazzle getting Weapon 5 and Rahali getting Blessing 5, Zarlova taking nothing

Clearly switching out Fire Snake was a mistake.

Wand of Detect Magic out for (Mythopoeic Sphinx)

Druid of the Flame out for (Maftet Hunter)

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

This is a weird one so I wanted to go over the details so we are all on board about how to approach it.

We want to create an open location with 5 boons of tiers 1 - 5. And we want to display 3 Elusive Knowledges.

Just because there is already a tier 5 boon at the bottom of Alter of Riddles let's pick it for our final location. We want to clear all cards above the Pyromaniac Mage and shove the other 4 boons below it. Once we clear the rest of the location it will get even easier to seed because we can shuffle acquired boons into an open location.

We can also seed banes into open locations. Once we have displayed the 3 Elusive Knowledges we can shuffle henchmen that allow a close into other open locations to shut them down faster.

If we examine a boon that would duplicate a tier under Alter of Riddles just shove it under a different location or the one you are at.

And remember that if you don't want a card in your deck and none of us want it for an upgrade you can just banish it.

The Concordance

Deck handler link

Thanks for working this out.
Agreed, makes sense to me.
I have started tracking boons and will keep it updated

4-5D: TEMPLE OF LIGHT AND METAL
Boon tracking

Altar of Riddles
AD5 = Ally

Great Library
AD1 = Weapon

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

Hopefully Hawkmoon will be labeling them since we know what and where they are. Since we have some down time I recommend discussing what boons we still want.

Tier 5

Spell 5
I think I want the utility of Death's Touch even if the damage is a bit lower. Probably I should have added it over Icy Prison. Not a priority though.

Ally 5
Pretty sure I'll be taking ally for my card feat. As for which one to add, I'm looking at Sand Elemental.
"Recharge this card to ignore a non-villain bane's power that happens before you act."
Even if that means it is only helping me it can prevent a lot of nasty effects. In fact if I reveal a bane with a crippling BYA effect at one of your locations you could skip it while I go deal with it.
Alternitivly I could add Wayfarer. When I discard it to explore it adds 2d6 to my checks.

Blessing 4
Blessing of Pharasma just isn't coming up much. I think I'll replace one of them with Blessing of the Seventh Veil.

Tier 6

Spell 6
Rejuvenation is just an upgrade to Restorative Touch.

Spell 6
Breath of Life is a minor downgrade to Major Cure but it can bring someone back to life if things get really bad. Not a priority though.

I think that is it.

Link to Deck Handler ; Cleric 6 ; Looking For: Spell 6 -> Spell 6 -> Blessing 6 -> Ally 6 -> Item 6 -> Armor 6

There's an elusive knowledge at Altar of Riddles, so I will go into examine mode to try to get it now.

Zarlova, please remember the scenario option
•When you acquire a boon or defeat a bane, you may shuffle it into a location deck.
You could have shuffled the Armor back into the Altar or another location and then we could bounce it back, as it was one of the Target card for the win condition

I know this is a complicated scenario and is WAY easier if we were in person to discuss choices during turns

Link to Deck Handler ; Cleric 6 ; Looking For: Spell 6 -> Spell 6 -> Blessing 6 -> Ally 6 -> Item 6 -> Armor 6

I couldn't have with the way I got it (As I just drew it instead of acquired it).

Also, I debated on putting it in my hand, but I feel we need to thin out the Altar some so we can actually get a handle on what's in there. I also see we have another AD2 card floating around we can put there.

Thanks for the explanation

Makes sense to me.
I saw the other AD2 card later and have a plan to move it across
My interpretation is that successfully getting a boon is acquiring so will trigger the scenario choice

Hawkmoon
Can you confirm my understanding that anytime you gain a boon you can use the scenario power to put it in a location

Rahali - Witch- Matsu Kurisu wrote:

It is only acquiring if the word "acquire" is used. For example, succeeding at a check to acquire a boon is acquiring. Drawing a card from a location, box, or anywhere else is not acquiring. See this comment. So, the Altar's power is not not acquiring.

Thanks, understood .

Did I missplay earlier by getting an boon from closing a location and then putting it into the Altar.
Can't remember between games and am away from computers

No, because Silver Forge says "Summon and acquire a random armor from the box" so it is acquiring.

Alright, I've cut back so this and one RPG game (which I think will end in a couple weeks) should be my only PbP games going on for a while, so I should be at a more manageable level.
