Runesmith should have a couple Invested Item feats like thaumaturge

I really love the flavor of this class and love that there are some options and class features that really lean into the magical craftsperson idea.

I personally think adding equivalents of Intensify Investiture and Thaumaturge's Investiture (with CHA swapped for INT) would really help let players who want to really lean into that without pushing power too much and also without stepping on Thaum's toes too much or take up too much design space.

I always thought it was a little strange that the stat that is used for crafting magic items is also not very good at using them, I feel like Runesmith being an exception with investing is a nice place for that niche (alchemist for alchemical crafting, inventor for tech, runesmith for magical crafting)

what do you all think? :D

I'd prefer the power balance budget go elsewhere, but more objectively thinks it's on theme. Sure. Trouble is it's more on theme IMO for them to create makeshift substitutes rather than rely on items crafted by others.

As for using items well, maybe instead of breadth of items they could lean into getting more depth/intensity/use out of each item (which arguably they're doing already).

Or maybe better use of the items they've crafted? Balance with that would get tricky, but seems doable even if not palatable to PFS.

I'd like to see them stay on-theme, so if they were to interact directly with items I'd like to see them related to runes in some way. Gaining extra investiture that can be spent on runes, like magic armor and accessory runes, for example, or an ability that lets them substitute their DC in for a rune's DC in some circumstances.

I would totally be up for feats to allow you to have an extra property rune on your armor and / or weapon that doesn't take up a rune slot.
