Background:
In First Edition
https://www.aonsrd.com/SpecialMaterials.aspx?ItemName=Weapon&Family=Aby sium
And Starfinder 1e
https://www.d20pfsrd.com/equipment/special-materials/#Abysium
Abysium says that weapons and armor make you sick (from radiation).
In 2nd edition Abysium says
https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=1405
". A creature carrying an abysium object is sickened 1 for a standard-grade object of light Bulk, sickened 2 for a standard-grade object of 1 Bulk or more or a high-grade object of light Bulk, or sickened 3 for a high-grade object of 1 Bulk or more."
And the Abyssium Armor (https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=1406) follows suit by giving the sickened condition. However, my players are pointing out that the Abysium weapon (https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=1409) says "Abysium weapons are safe to carry, as the toxic metal is contained within an outer shell." and are therefore arguing that it is safe to handle and does not apply the sickened condition. This seems counter to established precedent from years of previous editions. I'm in favor of coming down on the side of it still makes you sickened because the Abysium Object section overshadows the Abysium Weapon section.
Can I get the devs to weigh in on this?

No you cannot get the devs to weigh in.
To be slightly more courteous, the Devs have said they don't want to weigh in directly on questions like these because of numerous reasons (for example, it would be a single representative, not necessarily the whole team, it wouldn't be reviewed or vetted through a typical design process, and they don't want to set a precedent of unsustainable response times or directly intervening).
What you can expect is if enough people agree that your question/problem is unclear the Paizo might make official errata at some point.
Anyways, it's not unclear at all. The PF2 description of weapons and shields make it quite clear that they are safe to carry and don't cause the sickened condition (unless broken in the case of a shield).
Is this a change from PF1? Maybe (I think yes), but that doesn't really matter. Lots of things changed between editions. The reason why abysium weapons and shield don't cause sickened is obvious though, they're contained within other metal which shields from the effects in most situations. It's not that abysium is safer, it's that in the case of weapons and shields theres a low enough abysium content relative to the metal around it that it doesn't cause problems to people wielding them.
It's radiation. If you put a radioactive thing inside of lead (or really enough of any material) it can be safe to handle.
For example, spent nuclear fuel rods are dropped in pools of water (many feet deep) and the 20+ feet of water is enough to stop the radioactivity from what was an object inside of a nuclear reactor from being harmful.

I'm agreeing with the other people here.
Devs dropping by on the forums does happen. But not often. For several reasons, such as this one.
The Game Conventions have a rule that a specific rule will override a more general rule.
The rules for Abysium in general are general rules. The rule that weapons made with Abysium are shielded and don't harm the wielder is a specific rule that overrides the general rule for Abysium. Having the specific rule for Abysium armor agree with the general rule for Abysium doesn't change that the specific rule for Abysium weapons are an override.

Interesting thing, they wrote that when shield breaks, breaking creature gets sickened, but not the owner, not at the moment and not after.

Yeah, I agree that's a little weird and I wouldn't have written it that way, but since shields break a lot and a player might find a way to utilize it too effectively is my only thought.
I probably would have designed it as not doing anything on breaking, or affecting everyone like abysium armor.
Anyways, OP, it sounds like you're just looking for a reason to get your players not to use abysium (because why else would you insist on the weapons and shield harming the wielders). However, abysium is RARE. Meaning your players have no access to it, unless you as the GM give it to them. Meaning if you don't want them to use it, just don't give it to them in the first place.
