Timber sentinel Question

Hello everyone! Just a quick question about timber sentinel. Does using timber sentinel cause enemies to trigger their reactive strike? I don't think it does since timber sentinel is an impulse, but just wanted to get some clarification. Thank you!

Impulses are only Concentration, so it won't proc regular Reactive Strike which procs from Manipulate.

Even though it has "the effects of X" you aren't "casting" X
