Legendary class DC

This is something that I could see being on the chopping block. I hope it stays though. Makes some crit specs really appealing for a martial.

It would be a first for a martial to achieve legendary DC. What are the perspectives on this?


I'm still kinda hurt that Alchemist, the original "not caster but has caster effects" didn't have Legendary DC to be on par with the casters.

For Kineticist, who was the second "caster effects on a not caster" I am ok with having Legendary DC, for Remaster Alchemist I HOPE we get legendary DC, but for the Commander... I'm not really seeing why there should be class bugdet spent on that.

Especially with Commander having martial weapon scaling, I don't like it. It should be either one or the other, either martial weapon scaling, or caster DCs.

Agreed.

Especially since the DC abilities do nothing on a save, and most are just Frightened 1.

It's not about being fussed. I wouldn't mind it all that much, exactly because they aren't that many abilities to begin with.

It's just that
a)I think that it doesn't fit thematically
and b) i do believe that there's class budget spend on this that could spend to improve the class in some other areas.

I like the crit specialization edge the commander has over other martials. I think it is interesting, especially since it goes off of INT instead of their weapon attack stat. Almost all of the class feats that they have about making a strike do cooler things in a critical hit, so it is kinda like the magus (in a totally different way) where you want to maximize your chance to crit, but you also have a lot of other things to do with your actions.
